Global Change challenges are now systematically recognized and tackled in a growingly coordinated manner by intergovernmental organizations such as the United *** observing networks provide the founded data sources to assess the Earth environmental status and take sound decisions to achieve a sustainable *** Hydrological Observing System(WHOS)allows to discover and access historical and near real time hydrological *** represents the hydrological contribution to the wider WIGOS-WIS system of *** is a digital ecosystems framework contributed by a set of data providers and technical support *** this framework,three regional pilots were successfully *** WHOS architecture applies the services brokering style,implemented through the Discovery and Access Broker technology.A brokering approach makes a global system of systems possible and sustainable,where the different enterprise systems are enabled to interoperate,despite they implement heterogeneous communication interfaces and data *** this manuscript,the WHOS brokering solution is detailed by recurring to the definition of a set of transversal viewpoints to describe the important aspects of the complex ecosystem–namely:enterprise,information,computational,engineering,and technological ***,the three regional pilot ecosystems are described as successful cases of WHOS implementation.

Ga-Al-MFI samples were synthesized in hydrothermal conditions from gels of composition 1.08CH3NH2- 0.134TPABr-1SiO2-xAl2O3-yGa2O3-40H2O at 175 ℃ for 7 days, with x = 0.005 and 0.0025, y = 0.005, 0,010 and 0.020. The samples were characterized by XRD, BET measurements, thermal analysis （TGA-DTA） atomic absorption and high resolution solid state MAS 27Al and 71Ga NMR measurements. The aromatization of propane was studied as catalytic test. The activity and selectivity of the catalysts were determined for benzene, toluene and xylenes on the one hand and for methane and ethane on the other hand. The most active sample was obtained with the highest Ga/AI ratio. For this sample, the BTX selectivity obtained by aromatization was always higher than the hydrocracking selectivity leading to methane and ethane. The relative amount of toluene was higher than that of benzene and ofxylenes. The samples were deactivated by coke formation that was revealed more severe for the most active sample,

Most current seismic design includes the nonlinear response of a structure through a response reduction factor （R）. This allows the designer to use a linear elastic force-based approach while accounting for nonlinear behavior and deformation limits. In fact, the response reduction factor is used in modem seismic codes to scale down the elastic response of a structure. This study focuses on estimating the actual ＇R＇ value for engineered design/construction of reinforced concrete （RC） buildings in Kathmandu valley. The ductility and overstrength of representative RC buildings in Kathmandu are investigated. Nonlinear pushover analysis was performed on structural models in order to evaluate the seismic performance of buildings. Twelve representative engineered irregular buildings with a variety of characteristics located in the Kathmandu valley were selected and studied. Furthermore, the effects of overstrength on the ductility factor, beam column capacity ratio on the building ductility, and load path on the response reduction factor, are examined. Finally, the results are further analyzed and compared with different structural parameters of the buildings.

To analyze mortality associated with hepatitis C virus (HCV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in *** certificates mentioning either HBV or HCV infection were retrieved from the Italian National Cause of Death Register for the years 2011-2013. Mortality rates and proportional mortality (percentage of deaths with mention of HCV/HBV among all registered deaths) were computed by gender and age class. The geographical variability in HCV-related mortality rates was investigated by directly age-standardized rates (European standard population). Proportional mortality for HCV and HBV among subjects aged 20-59 years was assessed in the native population and in different immigrant *** infection was mentioned in 1.6% (n = 27730) and HBV infection in 0.2% (n = 3838) of all deaths among subjects aged ≥ 20 years. Mortality rates associated with HCV infection increased exponentially with age in both genders, with a male to female ratio close to unity among the elderly; a further peak was observed in the 50-54 year age group especially among male subjects. HCV-related mortality rates were higher in Southern Italy among elderly people (45/100000 in subjects aged 60-79 and 125/100000 in subjects aged ≥ 80 years), and in North-Western Italy among middle-aged subjects (9/100000 in the 40-59 year age group). Proportional mortality was higher among Italian citizens and North African immigrants for HCV, and among Sub-Saharan African and Asian immigrants for *** ageing, immigration, and new therapeutic approaches are shaping the epidemiology of virus-related chronic liver disease. In spite of limits due to the incomplete reporting and misclassification of the etiology of liver disease, mortality data represent an additional source of information for surveillance.

Two-proton radioactivity from18Ne is discussed in terms of sequential *** branch ratios for oneproton emission from excited states are calculated,which including spectroscopic factors,obtained from a Shellmodel calculation with realistic *** branch ratios show that the two-proton emission from the 1-state of 18Ne at 7.94 MeV is most likely to go through the sequential *** same mechanism is discussed for other excited states at higher energy by different interactions.

The incidence and prevalence of Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), the two major forms of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), are rising in western countries. The modern hygienic lifestyle is probably at the root of a disease where, in genetically susceptible hosts, the intestinal commensal flora triggers dysregulated immune and inflammatory responses. Current therapies ranging from anti-inflammatory drugs to immunosuppressive regimens, remain inadequate. Advances in our understanding of the cell populations involved in the pathogenetic processes and recent findings on the regenerative, trophic and immunoregulatory potential of stem cells open new paths in IBD therapy. Hematopoietic and mesenchymal stem cells are catalyzing the attention of IBD investigators. This review highlights the pivotal fi ndings for stem cell-based approaches to IBD therapy and collects the encouraging results coming in from clinical trials.

Desmoid tumor is a monoclonal, f ibroblastic proliferation arising in musculoaponeurotic structures. This connective tissue hyperplasia inf iltrates locally, recurs frequently after resection but does not metastasize. Abdominal desmoid occurs sporadically, in association with some familial syndromes and often represents a clinical dilemma for surgeons. The enigmatic biology and anatomical location of abdominal desmoids make treatment recommendations diff icult. This distinct pathological entity is reviewed with a specif ic focus on aetiology and management.
