School health promotion:A cross-sectional study on Clean and Healthy Living Program Behavior(CHLB)among Islamic Boarding Schools in Indonesia

Objective:This study aims to identify the knowledge,attitude,and behavior of students using eight indicators of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior(CHLB)in relation to the health education and grade levels in Islamic Boarding Schools(IBS)in Jember regency,East Java Province,***:A cross-sectional school-based survey design was *** 114 students(mean age of 13.17 years old)selected through a multi-stage random sampling completed a selfadministered questionnaire to measure the eight indicators of CHLB,such as washing hands with running water and soap,eating healthy snacks,using clean and healthy latrines,exercising regularly and measurably,eradicating mosquito larvae,not smoking at school,weighing and height measurement every 6 months,and disposing garbage *** data analyses included descriptive and comparative analyses of the difference in knowledge,attitude,and behavior toward CHLB by health education and grade ***:About 66.7% students received health *** knowledge in CHLB in relation to health education and grade was observed(P<.05),including in-depth knowledge of exercises,measurable weight and height,smoking,and healthy ***,no significant difference was observed between the attitude toward CHLB and health education in different grade ***,CHLB was associated with health education,including habitual exercise and using of clean and healthy latrines.

Effects of progressive muscular relaxation and stretching exercises combination on blood pressure among farmers in rural areas of Indonesia:a randomized study

Objective:Maintaining blood pressure(BP)could improve the quality of life among farmers in agricultural *** study aims to evaluate the effects of progressive muscular relaxation and stretching exercises(SEs)for BP in farmer subjects in rural ***:A randomized controlled design was applied for this *** performed a method,which is the combination of progressive muscle relaxation(PMR)and SEs for participants(30 in the control group and 60 in the intervention group).The intervention group self-practiced PMR and SEs through a video that providing instructions for 15 *** practiced before going to sleeping in the night,and SEs practiced before going to farms in the morning per day for *** signed-rank test was performed to measure the difference between systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)as one pre-and post-test comparison of baseline and 3 months data in control and intervention ***:There were no significant differences between SBP and DBP pre-and post-test in control group(P>0.050).Meanwhile,there were significant differences in reducing SBP(M=126.67;SD=18.07;95%CI=120-147.5 mmHg)and DBP(M=80.67;SD=6.91;95%CI=80-90 mmHg)pre-and post-test combination of PMR and SEs in intervention group(P<0.001).After 3-months of follow-up data,number type SBP and DBP still remained at the same levels of baseline and 3-month data in control ***,there was an increased number of normal and prehypertension for SBP and DBP(10%vs.10%and 20%vs.31.6%)and reduced of hypertension stage I for SBP and DBP(30%vs.41.6%).Conclusions:This pilot study demonstrated effectively to reduce SBP and DBP among farmers using the combination of PMR and SEs in the agricultural health setting.

Prevalence and associated factors of health problems among Indonesian farmers

Objective： This study examined the prevalence of health problems and their associated factors among Indonesian ***： A cross-sectional study was conducted among 179 farmers who completed a self-administered questionnaire and physical examination. The data were analyzed using descriptive, comparative, and multinomial logistic regression ***： The prevalence of varying health problems was 28.5% underweight, 10.6% overweight, 62.6% anemia, and 50.3% joint and bone pain. These results showed that being older and drinking coffee increased the likelihood of being underweight, while having less than 30 min of recess per working period and working for more than 5 days per week decreased the likelihood of being ***, being a younger male and working for less than 5 days per week decreased the risk of anemia. Furthermore, older age and less than 30 min of recess per working period were associated with increased joint and bone ***： We recommend the provision of screening programs and health education programs,including dietary programs and physical and exercise programs, by the occupational health nursing（OHN） program, to prevent and reduce health problems in the agricultural sector.

Self-/conspecific discrimination and superparasitism strategy in the ovicidal parasitoid Echthrodelphax fairchildii （Hymenoptera： Dryinidae）

Superparasitism in solitary parasitoids results in fatal competition between the immature parasitoids, and consequently only one individual can emerge. In the semisoli- tary ovicidal parasitoid Echthrodelphaxfairchildii （Hymenoptera： Dryinidae）, 2 adults can emerge under superparasitism with a short interval （〈24 h） between the first and second ovipositions. We determined the female parasitoid＇s behavioral responses under self- and conspecific superparasitism bouts with first-to-second oviposition intervals of 〈2 h. The self- and conspecific superparasitizing frequencies increased up to an oviposition interval of 0.75 h, with the former remaining lower than the latter, particularly for oviposition intervals of _〈0.25 h, suggesting the existence of self-/conspecific discrimination. The superparasitizing frequency plateaued for oviposition intervals of _〉0.75 h, with no dif- ference between self- and conspecific superparasitism. The ovicidal-probing frequency did not differ under self- and conspecific superparasitism, and was usually 〈20%. The females exhibited no preference for the oviposition side （i.e., ovipositing on the side with or without the first progeny） and almost always laid female eggs for any oviposition in- terval under self- and conspecific superparasitism. The sex ratio was not affected by the type of superparasitism, oviposition sides, or the occurrence of ovicidal probing. These observed results about the oviposition side, ovicidal probing, and sex ratios differed from the predictions obtained assuming that the females behave optimally. Possible reasons for the discrepancies are discussed： likely candidates include the high cost of selecting oviposition sides and ovicidal probing, and, for the sex ratio, the low frequency of encountering suitable hosts before superparasitism bouts.

Seemingly maladaptive refraining from infanticidal probing at the third parasitism attack by the semi-solitary parasitoid Echthrodelphax fairchildii （Hymenoptera： Dryinidae）

We assessed the adaptiveness of refraining from infanticidal probing at the third attack under triple parasitism in the parasitoid Echthrodelphaxfairchildii Perkins, by comparing fitness returns from the third attack with and without probing. Fitness returns were assessed in terms of the survival rate, mean developmental time, and mean adult head width of the progenies. Not probing was maladaptive under triple parasitism with oviposition intervals of 1/24 and 24/24 hours （where the numbers before and after the slash refer to the first-to-second and second-to-third oviposition intervals, respectively）, although no significant difference was detected in fitness returns for oviposition intervals of 24/1 hours. We suggest that the cost of probing （especially the decrease in the chance of future ovipositions） is a reason for the seemingly maladaptive absence of probing.

Formation of Edge Crack in 1.4%Si Non-oriented Electrical Steel during Hot Rolling

Microstructure evolution, dynamic recrystallization, high temperature oxidation and hot ductility of 1.4 % Si non-oriented electrical steel sheets were investigated to reduce edge cracking. The causes of cracking were found to be coarse as-cast microstructure, grain boundary oxidation in reheating furnace, lack of dynamic recrystallization during hot rolling and increase of temperature, resulting in reduced hot ductility in strip edge region. Countermeas- ures against the edge crack are proposed accordingly. Lowering reheating temperature and reducing holding time re- duced oxidation and decarburization. Hot charging temperature was increased to decrease reheating temperature. And using an edger can refine microstructure in strip edge region. Finally, edge heater can be added to increase edge re- gion formability by inducing dynamic reerystallization and ductility by increasing temperature.

Identification of county-level health factors associated with COVID-19 mortality in the United States

Many studies have investigated causes of COVID-19 and explored safety measures for preventing COVID-19 ***,these studies fell short to address disparities in health status and resources among decentralized communities in the United *** this study,we utilized an advanced modeling technique to examine complex associations of county-level health factors with COVID-19 mortality for all 3141 counties in the United *** results indicated that counties with more uninsured people,more housing problems,more urbanized areas,and longer commute are more likely to have higher COVID-19 *** on the nationwide population-based data,this study also echoed prior research that used local data,and confirmed that county-level sociodemographic factors,such as more Black,Hispanic,and older subpopulations,are attributed to high risk of COVID-19 *** hope that these findings will help set up priorities on high risk communities and subpopulations in future for fighting the novel virus.

This study focused on green-synthesized magnetite/carbon dots nanocomposites(GS-Fe_(3)O_(4)/Cdots)utilizing Moringa oleifera leaf extract and watermelon peel waste for rapid degradation of methylene blue(MB)***-precipitation and hydrothermal method were used to synthesize GS-Fe_(3)O_(4) and Cdots,*** addition,the sonication method was used to link Cdots on Fe_(3)O_(4) surface.X-ray diffraction spectrum of GS-Fe_(3)O_(4)/Cdots inform the cubic inverse spinel and has crystallite size in the range of 10.1-7.2 *** crystallite size also decreased with the increase of Cdots *** transmission electron microscope showed the most uniform size of nanocomposites at around 13.4 *** functional group of Fe-O was detected on the nanocomposites,proof that Fe_(3)O_(4) still exists after *** presence of C=C,C-O,and C-O-C also indicates the existence of Cdots on the surface of Fe_(3)O_(4).The addition of Cdots affected the saturation magnetization and coercivity value in the range of 29.2-38.3 emu/g and 59-65 Oe,respectively,which showed a good magnetic *** an organic dye,MB was used for a photocatalytic process under UV *** degradation efficiency was raised to 98% for 30 min photocatalytic *** magnetically separable capability makes nanocomposites could be recycled and reused three times with high ***,GS-Fe_(3)O_(4)/Cdots potential as a low-cost and environmentally friendly reusable photocatalyst for rapid wastewater degradation.
