Marine microorganisms were considered to be important sources of marine bioactive *** major objective of the study was to isolate and characterize bacteria with antimicrobial activities from the various marine environment of *** this respect,thirty-five bacterial isolates were recovered from sediment samples collected from different spots along the Egyptian Red Sea coastline and Alexandria coastline during the summer season of 2017 and *** to the morphological,physiological,and biochemical characteristics,the bacterial isolates were clustered into 13 groups designated as A,B,…,***,14 Gram-negative and 21 Grampositive bacteria were *** isolated bacterial strains were screened for their potentiality for antimicrobial agent(s)production against ten indicator *** Mo13 was showed high antimicrobial activity against all empirical ***,the most promising marine bacterial isolate with code MO13 was identified as Bacillus zhangzhouensis OMER4 according to the phenotypic characterization through morphological,physiological,and biochemical tests as well as genotypic characterization through the 16 S rDnA *** bioactive components were extracted with ethyl acetate,then analyzed using GC-MS and the substantial component was recognized as phenol,2,4-bis(1,1-dimethyl ethyl).

The utilisation of oil palm fibre(OPF)and pineapple leaf fibres(PALF)as reinforcement materials for bio-phenolic composites is growing especially in automotive lightweight *** major aim of this current study is to investigate the influence of alkali(Ca(OH)_(2)) treatment on pure and hybrid *** effects of enhancements in chemical interactions were evaluated by the Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectrometer(FTIR).Dynamic Mechanical Analysis(DMA)and Thermogravimetric Analysis(TGA)performance of untreated reinforcements(OPF and PALF)and treated(OPF/OPF)composites at varying temperature and noted sufficient interfacial bonding contributing towards the improvements in thermal *** DMA results,the storage modulus improved with treated composites while the damping factor was ***,the treated hybrid composites exhibited significant improvements in thermal stability compared to untreated fibre *** results indicated that alkali calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH2(:T)incorporation in hybrid composites(OPF/PALF)results in increased tensile strength and modulus among all ***,the alkali-treated(Ca(OH)_(2))-treated pure composite(T/50%PALF),and hybrid composites(T/1OPF.1PALF)exhibited better flexural strength as compared with other *** contrast,the T/50%PALF showed higher flexural stress of 78.2 MPa,while the flexural modulus was recorded at 6503 *** can be proposed from the findings of this study that the alkali treatment(5%Ca(OH)_(2))can be utilised to improve the strength and efficiency of agriculture biomass to be used as reinforcements in ***,the hybridisation of bio-fibre composites has the potential as a novel variety of biodegradable and sustainable composites appropriate for several industrial and engineering applications.

noninvasive Low-Intensity Focused Ultrasound Mediates Tissue Protection following Ischemic Stroke

Objective and Impact *** study examined the efficacy and safety of pulsed,low-intensity focused ultrasound(LIFU)and determined its ability to provide neuroprotection in a murine permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion(pMCAO)*** ultrasound(FUS)has emerged as a new therapeutic strategy for the treatment of ischemic stroke;however,its nonthrombolytic properties remain ***,we examined how LIFU influenced neuroprotection and vascular changes following *** to the critical role of leptomeningeal anastomoses or pial collateral vessels,in cerebral blood flow restoration and tissue protection following ischemic stroke,we also investigated their growth and *** were exposed to transcranial LIFU(fundamental frequency:1.1 MHz,sonication duration:300 ms,interstimulus interval:3 s,pulse repetition frequency:1 kHz,duty cycle per pulse:50%,and peak negative pressure:-2.0 MPa)for 30 minutes following induction of pMCAO and then evaluated for infarct volume,blood-brain barrier(BBB)disruption,and pial collateral remodeling at 24 hrs *** found significant neuroprotection in mice exposed to LIFU compared to mock *** findings correlated with a reduced area of IgG deposition in the cerebral cortex,suggesting attenuation of BBB breakdown under LIFU *** also observed increased diameter of CD31-postive microvessels in the ischemic *** observed no significant difference in pial collateral vessel size between FUS and mock treatment at 24 hrs *** data suggests that therapeutic use of LIFU may induce protection through microvascular remodeling that is not related to its thrombolytic activity.

Synthesis, Structural Characterization, and Antimicrobial Activities of Mn（II）, Co（II）, ni（II）, Cu（ll） and Zn（II） Complexes of Triazole-based Azodyes

The synthesis and characterization of new transition metal complexes of Mn（ll）, Co（II）, ni（II）, Cu（II） and Zn（II） with 3-（2-hydroxynaph-l-ylazo）-1,2,4-triazole （HL1） and 3-（2-hydroxy-3-carboxynaph-l-ylazo）-1,2,4-triazole （HL2） have been carried out. Their structures were confirmed by elemental analyses, thermal analyses, spectral and magnetic data. The IR and 1H nMR spectra indicated that HL1 and HL2 coordinated to the metal ions as bidentate monobasic ligands via the hydroxyl O and azo n atoms. The UV-Vis, ESR spectra and magnetic moment data revealed the formation of octahedral complexes [MnL1（AcO）（H2O）3] （1）, [CoL1（AcO）（HzO）3]·H2O （2）, [MnL2- （AcO）（H20）3] （6） and [CoL2（AcO）（H2O）3] （7）, [niL1（AcO）（H2O）] （3）,[ZnLI（AcO）（HzO）]·H2O （5）, [niL2- （AcO）（H2O）] （8）, [ZnL2（AcO）（H2O）]·H2O （10） have tetrahedral geometry, whereas [CuLI（AcO）（H2O）2] （4） and [CuL2（AcO）（H2O）2]·5H2O （9） have square pyramidal geometry.. The mass spectra of the complexes under EI-con- ditions showed the highest peaks corresponding to their molecular weights, based on the atomic weights of 55Mn, 59Co, 58ni, 63Cu and 64Zn isotopes; besides, other peaks containing other isotopes distribution of the metal. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of the thermal decomposition stages were computed from the thermal data using Coats-Redfern method. HL2 and complexes 6--10 were found to have moderate antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus＇ aureus （gram positive）, Escherichia coli （gram negative） and Salmonella sp bacteria, and antifungal activity against Fusarium oxysporum, Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans. Also, in most cases, metallation increased the activity compared with the free ligand.

This work is dealing with two-temperature generalized thermoelasticity without energy dissipation infinite medium with spherical cavity when the surface of this cavity is subjected to laser heating pulse. The closed form solutions for the two types of temperature, strain, and the stress distribution due to time exponentially decaying laser pulse are constructed. The Laplace transformation method is employed when deriving the governing equations. The inversion of Laplace transform will be obtained numerically by using the Riemann-sum approximation method. The results have been presented in figures to show the effect of the time exponentially decaying laser pulse and the two temperature parameter on all the studied fields.

Effects of nigella sativa on outcome of hepatitis C in Egypt

AIM: To evaluate the safety, efficacy and tolerability of nigella sativa (n. sativa ) in patients with hepatitis C not eligible for interferon (IFn)-α. METHODS: Thirty patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, who were not eligible for IFn/ribavirin therapy, were included in the present study. Inclusion criteria included: patients with HCV with or without cirrhosis, who had a contraindication to IFn-α therapy, or had refused or had a financial constraint to IFn-α therapy. Exclusion criteria included: patients on IFn-α therapy, infection with hepatitis B or hepatitis Ⅰ virus, hepatocellular carcinoma, other malignancies, major severe illness, or treatment non-compliance. Various parameters, including clinical parameters, complete blood count, liver function, renal function, plasma glucose, total antioxidant capacity (TAC), and polymerase chain reaction, were all assessed at baseline and at the end of the study. Clinical assessment included: hepato and/ or splenomegaly, jaundice, palmar erythema, flapping tremors, spider naevi, lower-limb edema, and ascites. n. sativa was administered for three successive months at a dose of (450 mg three times daily). Clinical response and incidence of adverse drug reactions were assessed initially, periodically, and at the end of the study. RESULTS: n. sativa administration significantly improved HCV viral load (380808.7 ± 610937 vs 147028.2 ± 475225.6, P = 0.001) and TAC (1.35 ± 0.5 vs 1.612 ± 0.56, P = 0.001). After n. sativa administration, the following laboratory parameters improved: total protein (7.1 ± 0.7 vs 7.5 ± 0.8, P = 0.001), albumin (3.5 ± 0.87 vs 3.69 ± 0.91, P = 0.008), red blood cell count (4.13 ± 0.9 vs 4.3 ± 0.9, P = 0.001), and platelet count (167.7 ± 91.2 vs 198.5 ± 103, P = 0.004). Fasting blood glucose (104.03 ± 43.42 vs 92.1 ± 31.34, P = 0.001) and postprandial blood glucose (143.67 ± 72.56 vs 112.1 ± 42.9, P = 0.001) were significantly decreased in both diabetic and non-diabetic HCV patients. Currently, relational database management systems (RDBMSs)face different challenges in application development due to the massive growthof unstructured and semi-structured data. This introduced new DBMS categories, known as not only structured query language (noSQL) DBMSs, whichdo not adhere to the relational model. The migration from relational databasesto noSQL databases is challenging due to the data complexity. This study aimsto enhance the storage performance of RDBMSs in handling a variety of *** paper presents two approaches. The first approach proposes a convenientrepresentation of unstructured data storage. Several extensive experimentswere implemented to assess the efficiency of this approach that could resultin substantial improvements in the RDBMSs storage. The second approachproposes using the JavaScript Object notation (JSOn) format to representmultivalued attributes and many to many (M:n) relationships in relationaldatabases to create a flexible schema and store semi-structured data. Theresults indicate that the proposed approaches outperform similar approachesand improve data storage performance, which helps preserve software stabilityin huge organizations by improving existing software packages whose replacement may be highly costly.

Expansion of GARP-Expressing CD4^(+)CD25^(-)FoxP3^(+)T Cells and SATB1Association with Activation and Coagulation in Immune Compromised HIV-1-Infected Individuals in South Africa

Although antiretroviral treatment lowers the burden of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-related disease,it does not always result in immunological *** manifests as persistent chronic inflammation,immune activation or exhaustion that can promote the onset of *** the exact function of regulatory T(Treg)cells in HIV remains unclear,this cross-sectional study investigated three expression markers(Forkhead box protein P3[FOXP3],glycoprotein A repetitions predominant[GARP],special AT-rich sequence binding protein 1[SATB1])and compared their expansion between CD4^(+)CD25^(-)and CD4^(+)CD25^(++)T ***-matched study subjects were recruited(Western Cape,South Africa)and sub-divided:HIV-negative subjects(n=12),HIV-positive na(i|")ve treated(n=22),HIV-positive treated based on CD4 count cells/μL(CD4>500 and CD4n=34)and HIV-treated based on viral load(VL)copies/mL(VLnd VL>1000)(n=34).Markers of immune activation(CD38)and coagulation(CD142)on T cells(CD8)were assessed by flow cytometry together with FOXP3,GARP and SATB1 expression on CD4^(+)CD25^(-)and CD4^(+)CD25^(++)T *** levels of interleukin-10(IL-10;anti-inflammatory marker),IL-6(inflammatory marker)and D-dimer(coagulation marker)were *** study revealed three major findings in immuno-compromised patients with virological failure(CD41000):(1)the expansion of the unconventional Treg cell subset(CD4^(+)CD25^(-)FOXP3^(+))is linked with disease progression markers;(2)increased GARP expression in the CD4^(+)CD25^(-)and CD4^(+)CD25^(++)subsets;and(3)the identification of a strong link between CD4^(+)CD25^(-)SATB1+cells and markers of immune activation(CD8^(+)CD38^(+))and coagulation(CD8^(+)CD142^(+)and D-dimer).

In Vitro assessment of the nutritive value of expanded soybean meal for dairy cattle

Little information is available about the nutritive value of expanded soybean meal, which is produced by expansion of soybeans prior to solvent extraction of the oil. During processing, expanded soybean meal is subjected to additional heat, which might increase the concentration of ruminally undegraded protein. Processing of soybeans with heat during oil extraction could affect lysine availability by increasing ruminally undegraded protein or by impairing intestinal digestion. Our objective was to compare solvent and expanded soybeans with regard to chemical composition and nutritive value for dairy cattle. Samples of expanded soybean meal （n = 14） and solventextracted soybean meal （n = 5） were obtained from People＇s Republic of China to study effects of the expansion process on nutritive value for dairy cattle. Solvent-extracted soybean meal （n = 2） and mechanically extracted （heated） soybean meal （n = 2） from the United States served as references for comparison. Samples were analyzed for crude fat, long-chain fatty acids, crude protein, amino acids, chemically available lysine, in situ ruminal protein degradation, and in vitro intestinal digestibility. no differences were found between solvent-extracted soybean meals from China and expanded soybean meals from China for crude fat, crude protein, amino acids, or chemically available lysine. In situ disappearance of nitrogen, ruminally undegraded protein content, and in vitro intestinal digestion of the ruminally undegraded protein were generally similar between solvent-extracted soybean meals made in China and expanded soybean meals made in China; variation among soybean meals was small. Results indicate that the additional heat from the expansion process was not great enough to affect the nutritive value of soybean meal protein for ruminants. Although expansion may improve the oil extraction process, the impact on the resulting soybean meal is minimal and does not require consideration when formulating ruminant di
