Dietary supplementation of Bacillus subtilis influenced intestinal health of weaned pigs experimentally infected with a pathogenic E. coli

Background: There is growing evidence to support the beneficial effects of supplementing direct-fed microbials(DfM) on performance, health status, and immune responses of weaned pigs. Therefore, the objective of this study was to investigate dietary supplementation of Bacillus subtilis(DSM 25841) on growth performance, diarrhea, gut permeability and immunity of weaned pigs experimentally infected with a pathogenic f-18 Escherichia coli(E. coli).Results: The f18 E. coli infection reduced(P formance and intestinal villi height, whereas increased(P f Bacillus subtilis linearly enhanced average daily gain of E. coli infected pigs from d 0 to 5 post-inoculation(PI)(P f high dose of Bacillus subtilis reduced(P fected pigs fed with control diet. E. coli infection up-regulated(P f SLC5 A10(soluble carrier family 5 member 10) and MUC2(mucin 2) on d 5 PI, but down-regulated(P f SLC5 A10, MUC2, and CLDN1 on d 11 PI in jejunal mucosa when pigs were fed with the control diet. Supplementation of Bacillus subtilis linearly up-regulated(P f CfTR and ZO1 on d 5 PI and SLC5 A10 and MUC2 on d 11 PI in jejunal mucosa of E. coli infected pigs. In addition, E. coli infection increased(P f several immune genes(IL1 A, IL1 B, and IL7 on d 5 PI, and IL1 B, IL6, IL7, and TNf on d 11 PI) in the ileal mucosa of weaned pigs. The use of Animal House facilities of IPEN-CNEN/SP （Nuclear and Energetic Research Institute-National Nuclear Energy Commission/SP, Brazil） has provided rats and mice with controlled sanitary quality for research and quality control in the production of radiopharmaceuticals lots, produced at IPEN, following rules of CONCEA-Brazilian National Council for Animal Experimentation Control and approved in CEUA （Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals）, before they are sent to hospitals and clinics spread out in Brazil, for use in nuclear medicine. The production and the supply of high quality laboratory animals have fundamental importance for the accomplishment of vanguard scientific research, with reproducibility and universality. The quality of those animals depends, largely, on the available facilities for their production and lodging, to assure the demanded sanitary control and animal＇s welfare, in agreement with the ethical principles that control the activity. Therefore, the facilities design is of vital importance so that the mentioned requirements can be reached. Nevertheless, pigs and miniature pigs have gained importance as large animal models in medicine. With their size, organ capacity, and physiology resembling in several aspects that of humans, pigs are well suited for preclinical experiments and long-term safety studies. Minipigs will be used for preclinical testing of radiopharmaceuticals and assays radioactive materials for cardiac tests. This paper describes the premises and preliminary activities that have been performed at IPEN for the design of new Animal House facilities dedicated to keeping minipigs taking into account fundamental aspects such as： animal＇s welfare, sanitation, genetic, in agreement with the ethical principles that control the activity and environmental concerns.

背景与目的:18f-脱氧葡萄糖(fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose,18f-fDG)PET/CT显像可明显提高肺癌、食管癌等多种肿瘤的诊断、分期与疗效监测的准确性,有助于更准确地制定治疗方案。本研究探讨全身18f-fDG PET/CT显像在鼻咽癌首次分期、再分期及疗效监测中的临床应用价值。方法:回顾性分析澳大利亚Peter MacCallum肿瘤中心2002年2月至2005年12月43例鼻咽癌患者的18f-fDG PET/CT全身扫描报告,根据临床资料、病理结果及临床随访结果,计算18f-fDG PET/CT与传统影像学检查CT、MRI的准确性、特异性、灵敏度、阳性预测值与阴性预测值,并对结果进行比较和分析。结果:18f-fDG PET/CT诊断鼻咽癌总的准确率、敏感性、特异性、阳性预测值与阴性预测值分别为95.3%、100.0%、85.7%、93.8%、100.0%,传统影像学检查CT、MRI分别为65.5%、79.4%、64.7%、81.8%、57.9%。18f-fDGPET/CT诊断结果使2例首次分期、7例再分期患者治疗方案得到改变,并影响1例首次分期和3例再分期患者治疗方案的制定;在疗效监测组中,指导医生修改治疗方案共11例(其中5例为原则性的修改)。18f-fDG PET/CT检测到2例第二原发肿瘤,1例是甲状腺癌,1例是低度恶性胃癌。结论:18f-fDG PET/CT全身显像对鼻咽癌N、M分期与疗效监测的临床作用可能优于CT、MR检查。

为提高设施农业植保作业智能管控能力,该文提出一种基于STM32f101和STM32f103嵌入式技术,结合4G互联网、局域WIfI通信技术及超声波靶标检测算法,能够便捷地对设施作业装备远程视频与控制的方案,达到人机分离与精准施药的目的。该系统在Eclipse和Keil-uvision4开发环境下采用Socket和多线程技术实现双向通信,以TCP通讯协议为媒介,Android端和客户端通过互联网或无线网卡转接移动路由实现远程智能喷雾控制。试验结果表明:1)Android端能够在LAN或Internet中实现智能喷雾装备的近远程控制,软件界面回传状态无卡顿、延时发生,能够准确发射控制指令,实现了对靶标间歇性施药管控;2)系统建立的双向心跳包能够在通信故障情况下迫使喷雾装备处于休眠状态,经测试,心跳包设定时间与喷雾装备休眠响应时间平均相对误差不超过5.50%;3)采用视频帧对冠层中线定位,借助超声检测算法确定风送距离参数且建立冠层体积模型。试验发现,冠层密度对体积测量结果有显著影响,但总体测量准确度可达94.67%。该研究对其他农机装备的智能化管控研究有参考意义。

As industries continue to face tougher global competition, the demand for top quality products, superior customer services and guaranteed low prices grows more acute. Competing successfully in today's market place access to a powerful software application that can support the enterprise is vital for managing these challenges successfully and keeping a competitive edge.The main objective of this project is to develop a Supermarket Management Information system which equips an enterprise with the necessary capabilities to integrate and synchronize the isolated functions into streamlined business process, in order to give a competitive edge to the firm in a turbulent business environment. Three new cyanido-bridged heterometallic ReIVNin and ReIVCu one-dimensional systems were synthesized and extensively characterized both structurally and magnetically. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that these compounds display a common topology, with chains composed of alternating [RetVc14（CN）2]2- and [Mn（cyclam）]2＋（M = Ni in 1, Cu in 2） or [Cull（N,N＇-dimethylcyclam）]2＋（in 3） building units. Two different chain orientations with a tilt angle of ca. 51° to 55° are present in the crystal packing of these compounds. The magnetic susceptibility measurements suggest the presence of intrachain ferromagnetic interactions between the S = 3/2 ReTM centers and the 3d metal ions： S = 1 Ni1I or S = 1/2 CuII. At low temperature, a three-dimensional ordered magnetic phase induced by interchain antiferromagnetic interactions （antiferromagnetic for 1 and 2; canted antiferromagnetic for 3） is detected for the three compounds.
