We investigate the prospect of discovering the Flavour Changing Neutral Current(FCNC)tqZ couplings via two production processes yielding trilepton signals:top quark pair production pp→tt with one top quark decaying to the Z boson and one light jet and the anomalous single top quark plus Z boson production process pp→*** study these channels at various successors of the Large Hadron Collider(LHC),i.e,the approved High-Luminosity LHC(HL-LHC)as well as the proposed High-Energy LHC(HE-LHC)and Future Circular Collider in hadron-hadron mode(FCC-hh).We perform a full simulation for the signals and the relevant Standard Model(SM)backgrounds and obtain limits on the Branching Ratios(BRs)of t→qZ(q=u,c),eventually yielding a trilepton final state through the decay modes t→bW+→bl^(+)V_(l)and Z→l^(+)l^(-).The upper limits on these FCNC BRs at 95%Confidence Level(CL)are obtained at the HL-LHC with√s=14 TeV and 3 ab^(-1),at the HE-LHC with√s=27TeV and 15 ab^(-1),and at the FCC-hh with√s=100 TeV and 30ab^(-1).

Adipocytes’biology and the mechanisms that control adipogenesis have gained importance because of the need to develop therapeutic strategies to control obesity and the related *** mesenchymal stem cells(hMSCs),undifferentiated stem cells present in the bone marrow that are physiological precursors of adipocytes,were induced to adipogenic *** molecular mechanisms on the basis of the adipogenesis were evaluated,focusing on the MAPKinases ERK1 and ERK2,which are involved in many biological and cellular ***1 and ERK2 phosphorylation was reduced with different timing and intensity for the two isoforms in treated hMSCs in comparison with control cells until day 10 and then at 14–28 days,it reached the level of untreated *** total amount of ERK1 was also decreased up to day 10 and then was induced to the level of untreated cultures,whereas the expression of ERK2 was not changed following adipogenic *** with the specific ERK1/2 inhibitor U0126 during the whole differentiation period hampered hMSCs’adipogenic differentiation,as lipid droplets appeared in very few cells and were reduced in number and *** U0126 was administered only during the initial phase of differentiation,the number of hMSCs recruited to adipogenesis was reduced while,when it was administered later,hMSCs did not acquire a mature adipocytic ***1 and ERK2 are important for hMSC adipogenic differentiation since any alteration to the correct timing of their phosphorylation affects either the recruitment into the differentiation program and the extent of their maturation.

To prevent COVID-19 outbreaks,many indoor environments are increasing the volume of fresh air and running air conditioning systems at maximum ***,it is essential to consider the comfort of indoor occupants and energy consumption simultaneously when controlling the spread of *** this study,we simulated the energy consumption of a three-storey office building for postgraduate students and teachers at a university in *** on an improved Wells-Riley model,we established an infection risk-energy consumption model considering non-pharmaceutical interventions and human *** infection risk and building energy efficiency under different room occupancy rates on weekdays and at weekends,during different seasons were then *** consumption,based on the real hourly room occupancy rate during weekdays was 43%–55%lower than energy consumption when dynamic room occupancy rate was not *** all people wear masks indoors,the total energy consumption could be reduced by 32%–45%and the proportion of energy used for ventilation for epidemic prevention and control could be reduced by 22%–36%during all *** only graduate students wear masks in rooms with a high occupancy,total energy consumption can be reduced by 15%–25%.After optimization,compared with the strict epidemic prevention and control strategy(the effective reproductive number Rt=1 in all rooms),energy consumption during weekdays(weekends)in winter,summer and transition seasons,can be reduced by 45%(74%),43%(69%),and 55%(78%),*** results of this study provide a scientific basis for policies on epidemic prevention and control,carbon emission peak and neutrality,and Healthy China 2030.

Characterization of an Area Polluted by Copper and Zinc:the Relation between Soil Texture,Mineralogy and Pollutant Concentration

Twenty-four soil samples were collected at three depths from an approximately 2.5 acre contaminated site in southern Piedmont （Italy） and then analyzed. The main soil parameters determined were： pH, Cation Exchange Capacity （CEC）, particle size distribution, total organic carbon （TOC） content and retained metal concentration. The mineral phases were identified by X-Ray Powder Diffraction （XRPD）. All of the samples contained Zn and Cu resulting from industrial contamination during the last century, and those obtained at depths of 20-40 cm consistently showed the highest levels. To determine which size fraction was most active in the retention process, the samples were separated into four fractions （≤2 mm, ≤63 0m, ≤30 0m and ≤2 μm） and the amount of pollutant measured in each. It was found that metal retention was the highest in the clayey fraction, whose clay minerals were identified by XRPD after K＋ and Mg2＋ saturation, glycerol treatment and heating to 550℃. The clayey fraction was also the richest in TOC, and a direct correlation between TOC amount and metal retention was observed.

The antibacterial properties of nano-metal oxides （ZnO, CuO） are based on the formation of reactive oxygen species （ROS）. This work reveals that the antibacterial properties of these nano-metal oxides are strongly dependent on their crystalline structure. The antibacterial activity of the nanooxides was tested against four types of bacteria that commonly cause nosocomial infections. The sonochemical method was applied not only for synthesis of nanooxides but also to their coating on textiles. The antibacterial properties of textiles coated with commercial and sonochemically prepared nano-metal oxides were evaluated and compared. The toxicity was evaluated on human lung cells and amphibian embryos, as representative models for inhalation and aquatic toxicology. The sonochemically prepared metal nanooxides are better antimicrobials than commercially available metal oxides with the same particle size range. It was found that the crystallites which have more defects and less organized structure are more toxic. The formation of ROS was studied by electron spin resonance （ESR） measurements for both the sonochemically prepared and commercial samples of ZnO/CuO nanoparticles. A significant increase in the production of radical species was found in the more defective, sonochemically prepared samples, as compared to the commercial ones. Since modulation of the nanoparticle defects influenced their toxicity, the possibility of engineering safer nano-antibacterials is indicated.

Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome is a severe cardio pulmonary disease transmitted to humans by sylvan rodents found in natural and rural *** transmission is closely linked to the ecology of animal reservoirs and abiotic factors such as habitat characteristics,season or climatic *** main goals of this research were:to determine the biotic and abiotic factors affecting richness and abundance of rodent species at different spatial scales,to evaluate different methodologies for studying population of small rodents,and to describe and analyze an ecologically-based rodent management experience in a highly touristic area.A 4-year study of small rodent ecology was conducted between April 2007 and August 2011 in the most relevant habitats of El Palmar National Park,*** involved a wide range of control and prevention measures,including poisoning,culling and habitat modification.A total of 172 individuals of 5 species were captured with a trapping effort of 13860 traps-nights(1.24 individuals/100 traps-nights).Five rodent species were captured,including 2 hantavirus-host species,Oligoryzomys nigripes and Akodon *** nigripes,host of a hantavirus that is pathogenic in humans,was the most abundant species and the only one found in all the studied *** results are inconsistent with the dilution effect *** present study demonstrates that sylvan rodent species,including the hantavirus-host species,have distinct local habitat selection and temporal variation patterns in abundance,which may influence the risk of human exposure to hantavirus and may have practical implications for disease transmission as well as for reservoir management.
