Nutritional Status of Mothers and Its Determinants in Alemtidad Area, Khartoum

Background: Nutritional status of mothers is considered one of the major problems facing mothers in the world. The nutrition plays a major role in mothers and child health. Objective: This study aims to assess mothers’ nutritional status and its determinants in Alemtidad area, Khartoum. Methods: A descriptive community based survey was conducted in the Alemtidad area of Khartoum between November 2012 and December 2012. One hundred and eighty mothers were selected by simple randomization. Data were collected by using structured designed questionnaire which was then analyzed by (SPSS) program version 20. Results: The study conducted among mothers in Alemtidad area;their age ranged between 19 and 86 years with the mean age 38 ± 12 years. From those mothers about half were unemployed, and having mainly primary and secondary educational level. 81.1% of mothers were not able to select the proper food according to age and nutrients and about 71.1% of mothers took two meals per day and 23.3% one meals per day, and only 5.6 take three meals per day. The Body Mass Index (BMI) was calculated to measure the nutrition status of mothers;this study shows that mothers in Alemtidad are mainly overweight and obese, 45.6% and 18% respectively and only 35% within normal range of Body Mass Index (BMI). Conclusion: The study concludes that mothers are either overweight or obese (45.6%, 17.7% respectively). Compared to national and international statistics the findings of this study reflect high Body Mass Index (BMI) of mothers in Alemtidad.

Thermal performance of domed roof in air-conditioned spaces

Due to their thermal performance,domed roofs are one of the passive solutions that affect energy consumption in *** thermal performance of domed roofs has been investigated in many naturally ventilated ***,few studies have discussed their performance in conditioned ***,this study introduces a computational comparison between domed and flat roofs to investigate their impact on thermal comfort inside a conditioned *** an earlier stage,field measurements were carried out inside a Bahraini mosque to acquire its indoor air conditions during the summer period of 2021,in addition to validating the computational *** findings of this study confirm that,under mechanical cooling conditions,the flat roof offers a lower indoor temperature than the domed roof by 0.4℃and 0.1℃for open and closed doors,***,the air velocity is lower by approximately 0.01 m/s for both door *** overall PMV values of the flat roof are also lower by 0.07 and 0.01,while the PPD values are lower by 0.20,and 0.34 for open and closed doors,*** on these small differences,it can be concluded that the thermal performance of both roofing systems behaves equally in conditioned ***,the air patterns are substantially different,the overall thermal performance is *** similarity drives building designers to rethink the thermal performance of the domed roofs in air-conditioned spaces with such a hot climate,regardless of their aesthetic and acoustical behaviour.

Kumaraswamy Inverted Topp–Leone Distribution with Applications to COVID-19 Data

In this paper, an attempt is made to discover the distributionof COVID-19 spread in different countries such as;Saudi Arabia, Italy,Argentina and Angola by specifying an optimal statistical distribution for analyzing the mortality rate of COVID-19. A new generalization of the recentlyinverted Topp Leone distribution, called Kumaraswamy inverted Topp–Leonedistribution, is proposed by combining the Kumaraswamy-G family and theinverted Topp–Leone distribution. We initially provide a linear representationof its density function. We give some of its structure properties, such as quantile function, median, moments, incomplete moments, Lorenz and Bonferronicurves, entropies measures and stress-strength reliability. Then, Bayesian andmaximum likelihood estimators for parameters of the Kumaraswamy invertedTopp–Leone distribution under Type-II censored sample are *** estimator is regarded using symmetric and asymmetric loss functions. As analytical solution is too hard, behaviours of estimates have beendone viz Monte Carlo simulation study and some reasonable comparisonshave been presented. The outcomes of the simulation study confirmed theefficiencies of obtained estimates as well as yielded the superiority of Bayesianestimate under adequate priors compared to the maximum likelihood *** to COVID-19 in some countries showed that the new distributionis more appropriate than some other competitive models.

Molecular study on Y chromosome microdeletions in Egyptian males with idiopathic infertility

Aim: To determine the frequency of genetic deletions within the azoospermia factors in Egyptian infertile males. Methods: The Yq microdeletions in 33 infertile males with undetectable chromosomal anomalies were examined by mutiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Deletions were confirmed using single PCR amplifications. Results: Four out of the total 33 (12 %) men had Yq11 microdeletions, thus supporting the average reported figures in other populations. Three of those 4 cases had single short tandem sequence deletions with discrete histological findings of their testes. Single sY272 deletion within AZFc was associated with Sertoli cell only syndrome, whereas a patient with isolated sY84 deletion within AZFa had immature testicular structure. The remaining case had a large deletion in AZFa-c and short stature. Conclusion: The present study supports the hypothesis that the Yqn encompasses genetic determinants of stature besides genes controlling spermatogenesis.

One of the most common kinds of cancer is breast *** early detection of it may help lower its overall rates of *** this paper,we robustly propose a novel approach for detecting and classifying breast cancer regions in thermal *** proposed approach starts with data preprocessing the input images and segmenting the significant regions of *** addition,to properly train the machine learning models,data augmentation is applied to increase the number of segmented regions using various scaling *** the other hand,to extract the relevant features from the breast cancer cases,a set of deep neural networks(VGGNet,ResNet-50,AlexNet,and GoogLeNet)are *** resulting set of features is processed using the binary dipper throated algorithm to select the most effective features that can realize high classification *** selected features are used to train a neural network to finally classify the thermal images of breast *** achieve accurate classification,the parameters of the employed neural network are optimized using the continuous dipper throated optimization *** results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach in classifying the breast cancer cases when compared to other recent approaches in the ***,several experiments were conducted to compare the performance of the proposed approach with the other *** results of these experiments emphasized the superiority of the proposed approach.

In this paper,a joint analysis consisting of goodness-of-fit tests and Markov chain Monte Carlo simulations are used to assess the performance of some ranked set sampling *** Markov chain Monte Carlo simulations are conducted when Bayesian methods with Jeffery’s priors of the unknown parameters of Weibull distribution are used,while the goodness of fit analysis is conducted when the likelihood estimators are used and the corresponding empirical distributions are *** ranked set sampling designs considered in this research are the usual ranked set sampling,extreme ranked set sampling,median ranked set sampling,and neoteric ranked set sampling *** intensive Monte Carlo simulation study is conducted using Lindley’s approximation algorithm to compute the different designs’-based *** study showed that the dependent design“neoteric ranked set sampling design”is superior to other ranked set designs and the total relative efficiency is higher than the other designs’total relative efficiency.

Role of Sulforaphane on Histone Deacetylase Activity in Solid Ehrlich Carcinoma

Histone acylation is one in every of the posttranslational modification that incorporates a role within the regulation of sequence expression. This study was aimed to ameliorate neoplasm cell model Solid Ehrlich malignant neoplastic disease with sulforaphane extracted from cabbage alone and together with immune suppressant drug (MTX) by study the activity of simple protein deacetylase accelerator (HDAC). In this study, sulforaphane was extracted from cabbage leaves and evaluated victimization GC-MS and ultraviolet illumination spectrophotometry. 60 white male rats were divided into six equal groups. Group I: management ordinarily. The remaining mice were subjected to Ehrlich neoplasm cells. Group II: Tumor-bearing group. Group III: immune suppressant drug “MTX” treated group. Group IV, V treated with SFN before and when Paul Ehrlich cells implantation group VI (Methotrexate and sulforaphane-treated group). This result showed that sulforaphane was extracted from cabbage (Brassica oleracea) in concentration of 833 μg/g leave. HDAC was attenuated when treatment with sulforaphane after treatment with methotrexate or sulforaphane alone. The desoxyribonucleic acid injury was attenuated in neoplasm tissue of tumor-bearing mice when treatment with immune suppressant drug and hyperbolic considerably in tumor tissue of tumor-bearing mice treated with sulforaphane before and after carcinogenesis and together with methotrexate treatment after carcinogenesis.

The most sensitive Arabic text available online is the digital Holy *** sacred Islamic religious book is recited by all Muslims worldwide including non-Arabs as part of their worship ***,it should be protected from any kind of tampering to keep its invaluable meaning *** characteristics of Arabic letters like the vowels(),Kashida(extended letters),and other symbols in the Holy Quran must be secured from *** cover text of the Quran and its watermarked text are different due to the low values of the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR)and Embedding Ratio(ER).A watermarking technique with enhanced attributes must,therefore,be designed for the Quran’s text using Arabic vowels with *** gap addressed by this paper is to improve the security of Arabic text in the Holy Quran by using vowels with *** purpose of this paper is to enhance the Quran text watermarking scheme based on a reversing *** methodology consists of four phases:The first phase is a pre-processing followed by the second phase-the embedding process phase—which will hide the data after the *** is,if the secret bit is“1”,then the kashida is inserted;however,the kashida is not inserted if the bit is“0”.The third phase is the extraction process and the last phase is to evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme by using PSNR(for the imperceptibility)and ER(for the capacity).The experimental results show that the proposed method of imperceptibility insertion is also optimized with the help of a reversing *** proposed strategy obtains a 90.5%***,the proposed algorithm attained 66.1%which is referred to as imperceptibility.

BACKGROUND Despite significant advancements in liver transplantation(LT)surgical procedures and perioperative care,post-LT biliary complications(BCs)remain a significant source of morbidity,mortality,and graft *** addition,data are conflicting regarding the health-related quality of life(HRQoL)of LT ***,the success of LT should be considered in terms of both the survival and recovery of *** To assess the impact of BCs on the HRQoL of live-donor LT recipients(LDLT-Rs).METHODS We retrospectively analysed data for 25 LDLT-Rs who developed BCs post-LT between January 2011 and December 2016 at our *** Short Form 12 version 2(SF 12v2)health survey was used to assess their *** also included 25 LDLT-Rs without any post-LT complications as a control *** The scores for HRQoL of LDLT-Rs who developed BCs were significantly higher than the norm-based scores in the domains of physical functioning(P=0.003),role-physical(Pelopment of BCs in LDLT-Rs causes a lower range of improvement in HRQoL.
