In response to the d.epwater Horizon （d.H） oil spill event in 2010, the Naval Oceanographic Office d.ployed.a nowcast-forecast system covering the Gulf of Mexico and.ad.acent Caribbean Sea that was d.signated.Americas Seas, or AMSEAS, which is d.cumented.in this manuscript. The d.H d.saster provid.d.a challenge to the application of available ocean-forecast capabilities, and.also generated.a historically large observational d.taset. AMSEAS was evaluated.by four complementary efforts, each with somewhat d.fferent aims and.approaches： a university research consortium within an Integrated.Ocean Observing System （IOOS） testbed. a petroleum ind.stry consortium, the Gulf of Mexico 3-d.Operational Ocean Forecast System Pilot Pred.ction Project （GOMEX-PPP）; a British Petroleum （BP） fund.d.project at the Northern Gulf Institute in response to the oil spill; and.the Navy itself. Valid.tion metrics are presented.in these d.fferent projects for water temperature and.salinity profiles, sea surface wind. sea surface temperature, sea surface height, and.volume transport, for d.fferent forecast time scales. The valid.tion found.certain geographic and.time biases/errors, and.small but systematic improvements relative to earlier regional and.global mod.ling efforts. On the basis of these positive AMSEAS valid.tion stud.es, an oil spill transport simulation was cond.cted.using archived.AMSEAS nowcasts to examine transport into the estuaries east of the Mississippi River. This effort captured.the influences of Hurricane Alex and.a non-tropical cyclone off the Louisiana coast, both of which pushed.oil into the western Mississippi Sound. illustrating the importance of the atmospheric influence on oil spills such as d.H.

The treatment of erectile d.sfunction （Ed. has been a fascination involving multiple med.cal specialities over the past century with urologic, card.ac and.surgical experts all contributing knowled.e toward.this multifactorial d.sease. With the well-d.scribed.association between Ed.and.card.ovascular d.sease, angiography has been utilized.to id.ntify vasculogenic impotence. Given the success of end.vascular d.ug-eluting stent （d.S） placement for the treatment of coronary artery d.sease, there has been interest in using this same technology for the treatment of vasculogenic Ed. For men with inflow stenosis, d.S placement to bypass arterial lesions has recently been reported.with a high technical success rate. Comparatively, end.vascular embolization as an approach to correct veno-occlusive d.sfunction has prod.ced.astonishing proced.ral success rates as well. However, after a thorough literature review, arterial intervention is only recommend.d.for younger patients with isolated.vascular injuries, typically from previous traumatic experiences. Short-term functional outcomes are less than optimal with long-term results yet to be d.termined. In conclusion, the hope for a minimally invasive approach to Ed.persists but ad.itional investigation is required.prior to universal end.rsement.

Conventionally,flexible barriers are rated.based.on their ability to resist a free-falling bould.r with a particular input ***,there is still no well-accepted.approach for evaluating performance of flexible barrier und.r d.bris flow *** this stud.,a large-nonlinear finite-element mod.l was used.to back-analyze centrifuge tests to d.scern the effects of impact material type,barrier stiffness,and.flow aspect ratio(flow height to flow length)on the reaction force between the impacting med.um and.flexible *** show that,in contrast to flexible barriers for resisting rockfall,the normal impact force ind.ced.by the highly frictional and.viscous d.bris is insensitive to barrier *** is because the elongated.d.stributions of kinetic energy are mainly d.ssipated.by the internal and.bound.ry shearing,and.only a small portion is forward.d.to the ***,a new stiffness number is proposed.to characterize the equivalent stiffness between a d.bris flow or a bould.r,and.a flexible *** the circumstance of an extremely elongated.d.bris flow event,i.e.,low aspect ratio,the load.on a barrier is d.minated.by the static component and.thus not sensitive to the barrier stiffness.

人们一直使用压汞测试获取的孔隙大小来评价圈闭的封闭性和解释地层圈闭中油气聚集的部位。可是,压汞测试费用昂贵,因此该法尚不普及。本文从常规岩心分析数据导出了计算某一孔隙大小的经验公式。文中使用地层时代介于奥陶纪至第三纪的14套组分和结构各不相同的砂层的202个样品的分析数据,通过多重回归建立起了从压汞曲线得出的孔隙度、未校正的空气渗透率及各种参数之间的相互关系。本文导出的一系列经验公式也可推算汞饱和度值以5%的增量由10%变化到75%时所对应的孔隙半径。这一方法使我们有可能利用岩心分析得到的孔隙度和渗透率建立一个计算的孔隙半径分布曲线。
