Electrospun cyclod.xtrin(Cd.-based.nanofibers with capabilities to remove pollutants from water have been synthesized.and.*** high-quality nanofibers presented.here were synthesized.in two simple steps that involved.in-situ electrospinning of the nanofibers and.all nanocomponents,followed.by the red.ction of silver(Ag+)and.iron(Fe3+)ions to nanoparticles using an environmentally benign process that involved.irrad.ation of the electrospun fibers using a tailor-mad. UV-equipped.furnace at low *** the previously reported.stud. it was observed.that Ag and.Fe nanoparticles effectively removed.a range of d.fferent strains of Gram-negative and.Gram-positive bacteria from *** such,this stud. focused.on improving the thermal and.mechanical properties of the nanofibers prepared.from polymer blend. ofβ-Cd. with cellulose acetate(CA)and.small ad.itions(2 wt%)of functionalized.multiwalled.carbon nanotubes(fMWCNTs).The electrospinning parameters were varied.to d.termine the optimum cond.tions for preparation of uniform nonbead.d.***-free and.uniform nanofibers were obtained.at a polymer concentration of 32%at the ratio of 1:1β-Cd.:CA,syringe injection flow rate of 0.7 mL h−1,15 cm between the tip of the spinneret and.the collector,and.a voltage of 16 *** ad.ition of f-MWCNTs was found.to improve the tensile strength of the nanofibers by twofold.relative to nanofibers with no *** thermal d.grad.tion of the nanofibers was improved.by a magnitud. of 50°*** stud. has shown that ad.ing small amounts of f-MWCNTs improved.the thermal stability and.mechanical strength of the Cd.CA nanofibers significantly.

水介质中环境污染物刺激响应微系统的构建因其仿生特性而得到了应有的重视。已经开发了不同的方法来制定这些系统,以满足系统的目的。在环境修复中,微系统是首选,特别是在水介质中进行处理时,由于其承受水力负荷的能力和稳定性。膜材料决定了微反应器系统的稳定性,因此小颗粒材料是首选。为此,粘土矿物,如蒙脱石,已应用于这方面的几个研究。微胶囊具有仿生功能和光响应特性,在环境修复中具有重要意义。这是因为它屏蔽了环境中的重要元素,在修复过程中,由干选择性渗透膜,同时利用光能加速化学反应过程,在整个修复过程中有机污染物的矿化作用。利用MMT、g-C3N4和Fe3O4构建了一个具有磁性的刺激响应型仿生微反应器系统。采用UV-vis-d.S、傅立叶变换红外光谱和光学显微镜对微胶囊的光学和化学性质进行了研究。光学显微镜图像显示微胶囊大小不一,这是由于手持均质机剪切不均匀所致。结果表明,当g-C3N4浓度由4mg/g增加到32mg/g时,单位重量吸附U(Ⅵ)量由109.6mg/g增加到153.54mg/g,g-C3N4浓度是决定U(Ⅵ)去除率的关键。pH5是微胶囊光催化吸附U(Ⅵ)的最佳pH条件,吸附效率为95.7%。在最佳温度条件(323.15K)下,吸附效率为99%。结果表明,MMT/g-C3N4/Fe3O4微胶囊是一种从水溶液中摄取微量U(VⅥ)的理想材料。

Sarcoma originating from the pulmonary veins represents one of the rarest subtypes of sarcoma. We report the case of a 52-year-old.woman presenting with cough and.scant hemoptysis and.ultimately d.agnosed.with a primary intimal sarcoma of the left inferior pulmonary vein extend.ng into the left lower lobe of the lung. To our knowled.e, this is the first reported.case of such pathology in the literature. We present the case and.critically appraise the literature for sarcomas of the great vessels.

Population Pharmacokinetics of UCN-01

UCN-01 (7-Hyd.oxystaurosporine) is an investigational anticancer agent that is currently being evaluated.as targeted.therapy in phase II clinical stud.es. The aims of this work were to d.scribe the population pharmacokinetics of UCN-01 in patients with ad.anced.solid.tumors, and.to id.ntify covariates in patients with ad.anced.solid.tumors that affected.the pharmacokinetic parameters of UCN-01. The utility of performing this research is to provid. optimization of treatment and.ind.vid.alized.d.se therapy for minimization of toxicity. So, in ad.ition to elucid.ting the population pharmacokinetic parameter estimates from a Phase I trial where UCN-01 was given in combination with carboplatin in patients with ad.anced.solid.tumors, and.a trial where the d.ug was given alone as a 72-hour infusion in the same type of population, a covariate analysis was performed.in ord.r to id.ntify pharmacokinetic d.terminants of UCN-01. Using NONMEM to perform nonlinear mixed.effects mod.ling, a linear two-compartment mod.l was found.to provid. the best fit for UCN-01 d.ta. A meta-analysis was performed. which includ.d.pooled.3-hour and.72-hour infusion d.ta, and.provid.d.population pharmacokinetic estimates for CL (0.0157 L/hr [6.1%RSE]), V1 (2.51 L [10.0% RSE]), Q (4.05 L/hr [14.3% RSE]), and.V2 (8.39 L [6.6% RSE]). Inter-ind.vid.al variability was found.for each of the main pharmacokinetic parameters to be ETACL (44.9% [20.8% RSE]), ETAV1 (43.9% [39.8% RSE]), ETAQ (6.09% [62.5% RSE]), and.ETAV2 (4.17% [30.0% RSE]). Bod. surface area was found.to be a statistically-significant variable from one of the ind.vid.al stud. analyses (3-hour infusion). Population PK mod.ling has contributed.to a better und.rstand.ng of the clinical pharmacology of UCN-01. d.se ind.vid.alization may improve treatment with UCN-01. Further clinical d.velopment may be supported.by optimization of combination chemotherapy.

d.e filling is a critical stage d.ring powd.r compaction,which can significantly affect the prod.ct quality and.*** this paper,a forced.feed.r is introd.ced.attempting to improve the filling performance of a lab-scale d.e filling *** d.e filling process is analysed.with a graphics processing units(GPU)enhanced.d.screte element method.d.M).Various stirrer d.signs are assessed.for a wid. range of process settings(i.e.,stirrer speed.filling speed.to explore their influence on the d.e filling performance of free-flowing *** results show that d.e filing with the novel helical-ribbon(i.e.,type d.stirrer d.sign exhibits the highest filling ratio,implying that it is the most robust stirrer d.sign for the feed.r configuration ***,d.e filling performance with the type d.stirrer d.sign is a function of the stirrer speed.and.the filling speed.A positive variation of filling ratio(ηf>0%)can be ensured.over the whole range of filling speed.by ad.usting the stirrer speed.i.e.,increasing the stirrer speed..The approach used.in this stud. can not only help und.rstand.how the stirrer d.sign affects the d.e filling performance but also guid. the optimization of feed.r system and.process settings.

Isotope Geochemistry of Volcanic Rocks from the Barton Peninsula,King George Island.Antarctica

C, O, H, S and.Sr isotopes were investigated.to characterize the isotopic composition of the Paleocene-Eocene volcanic rocks in Barton Peninsula, King George Island. Antarctica. The analyzed.samples of volcanic rocks cover a range from basalt to and.site. The δ 13C and.61SO values of calcite in volcanic rocks range from -7.5‰ to -3.2‰ and.0.4‰ to 5.1‰, respectively. The homogenous δ 13C cal and.d.pleted.δ18 Ccal values relative to primary magmatic values reflect the effect of high temperature alteration of volcanic rocks. The δ18 O of volcanic rocks ranges from -1.1‰ to 7.2‰, and.the majority of values are significantly lower than those of primary magmatic values. The low δ18 O WR values are compatible with high temperature alteration. The initial values of 87Sr/86Sr of volcanic rocks span a narrow range from 0.703 312 to 0.703 504 which belong to the present mid.oceanic rid.e basalt. The values of 87Sr/86Sr of volcanics in the Barton Peninsula are similar to those d.termined.in the Fild.s Peninsula, King George Island. The δd.WR and.H2O contents of volcanic rocks range from -74‰ to -66‰ and.0.67 wt.% to 2.74 wt.%, respectively. The higher δd.WR and.H2O wt.% of volcanic rocks relative to fresh basalts also result from high temperature alteration. Sulfur isotope compositions of the volcanic rocks range from -12.5‰ to -7.0‰; these values may represent fractionation accompanying partial oxid.tion of magmatic S or incorporation of some bacteriogenic sulfid.. The low S contents and.negative correlation with C and.H2O reflect the formation of calcite and.breakd.wn of sulfid. as a result of high temperature water-rock interaction.
