Physicochemical characterization of forest and sugarcane leaf combustion’s particulate matters using electron microscopy,eDS,XRD and TGA

Physical characteristics and quantitative elemental composition of PM and residual ash produced from sugarcane leaves(SCL)combustion were investigated using TeM-eDS compared with forest leaves(FRL).SeM-eDS was used to analyze the microstructure and chemical composition of biomass raw leaves and *** analysis was also performed to investigate the characterization of the crystalline nanostructure,structure of PM,and residual ash compared to the TeM image processing *** oxidation kinetics of biomass raw materials,PM,and residual ash were investigated by *** morphology of fine and ultrafine agglomerate structure of SCL soot and residual ash are not significantly different from the FRL soot and residual *** average diameter sizes of single primary nanoparticles of SCL and FRL soot are approximately 37 nm and 35 nm,while the sizes of residual ash are about 18 nm and 22 nm,*** single primary nanoparticles of soot are mainly composed of curve line crystallites of carbon fringes,while residual ash is composed of straightline lattice *** average fringe lengths of SCL and FRL soot are about 1.25 nm and 1.04 nm from the outer shell and 0.89 nm and 0.74 nm from the inner *** interlayer spacing of curve line carbon fringes of SCL and FRL soot is approximately 0.359 nm and 0.362 nm by the TeM image analysis and it was matched with XRD *** biomass PMs are mainly composed of soot,Si,Ca,and K compounds:SiO_(2),CaCO3,and KCl.

Situational Analysis of Malaria Incidence Under Integrated Malaria Service in Hotspot Township-Minbya Township,Rakhine State,Myanmar,2017–2020

Introduction:Malaria is a significant public health concern and tropical disease,particularly affecting Myanmar within the Greater Mekong *** annual parasite index(API)exceeds 1 per 10,000 population in the northern seven townships of Rakhine State,with Minbya Township designated as a highburden area for malaria by the World Health Organization(WHO)Myanmar and the National Malaria Control Programme(NMCP).Since 2017,the Malaria reduction intensification plan has been in place in this township to combat the high disease transmission *** study aims to assess the malaria epidemiology in Minbya Township from 2017 to 2020 under the intensification plan for elimination,as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of the integrated strategy in reducing cases in hotspot ***:The study utilized a surveillance study design to collect secondary data from the Malaria surveillance system(MSS)and the epidemiologic monitoring dashboard of Minbya Township,Maruk-U District,located in Rakhine ***:Since 2017,the Malaria prevention and control(P&C)Program in Minbya Township has successfully decreased malaria morbidity,eliminated malaria-related deaths,and bolstered malaria testing capabilities through the participation of village health volunteers(VHVs).Approximately 87%of malaria prevention and control services are executed by the township’s malaria elimination and disease control programs,with additional support from *** API dropped from 13 in 2017 to 2.5 in 2020,with Plasmodium vivax being the most prevalent malaria species,accounting for 55%of ***:The study suggests that early diagnosis and promotion of artemisinin-based combination treatment(ACT),along with strategic planning including expanding active case detection in rural health centers and implementing a communitybasedcommunitybased integrated healthcare approach,are effective and efficient strategies for malaria elimination.

Longest geographically connected Australian power system is undergoing an unprecedented transition,under the effect of increased integration of renewable energy systems. This change in generation mix has implications for the whole interconnected system designs, its operational strategies and the regulatory framework. Frequency control policies about real-time balancing of demand and supply is one of the prominent and priority operational challenge requiring urgent attention. This paper reviews the Australian electricity market structure in presence of wind energy and its governance. Various issues related to increased wind generation systems integration are discussed in detail. Currently applied mitigations along with prospective mitigation methods requiring new or improved policies are also discussed. It is concluded that developing prospective frequency regulation ancillary services market desires further encouraging policies from governing authority to keep pace with current grid transition and maintain its security.

Induction of antitumor immunity against mouse carcinoma by baculovirus-infected dendritic cells

A dendritic cell(DC)vaccine strategy has been developed as a new cancer immunotherapy,but the goal of complete tumor eradication has not yet been *** have previously shown that baculoviruses potently infect DCs and induce antitumor immunity against hepatomas in a mouse ***-infected,bone marrow-derived DCs(BMDCs)display increased surface expression of costimulatory molecules,such as CD80,CD86 and major histocompatibility complex(MHC)classes I and II,and secrete interferons and other proinflammatory *** this study,we evaluated the induction of antitumor immunity in mice by baculovirus-infected BMDCs against lung cancer and *** treatment with baculovirus-infected BMDCs,murine lung tumors caused by Lewis lung carcinoma(LLC)cells were significantly reduced in size,and the survival of the mice was *** addition,experiments using a melanoma mouse model showed that baculovirus-infected BMDCs inhibited tumor growth and improved survival compared with *** alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST)and creatinine levels remained normal in baculovirus-infected BMDC-treated *** findings show that baculovirus-infected DCs induce antitumor immunity and pave the way for the use of this technique as an effective tool for DC immunotherapy against malignancies.

Lemon grass(Cymbopogon citratus Stapf) is a popular alternative to western medicines for a number of conditions, including fevers,muscle soreness and superficial infections in *** addition to its already reported suppressive effects against *** infection,this study sought to determine its repository and blood schizonticidal activities in established *** infection using Swiss albino mice as *** weighing on average, between 15 and 25g were given 103mg/kg,155mg/kg and 310mg/kg/day of the crude aqueous extract of cymbopogon citratus stapf,in the 4-day test,24-hour Rane test and 72-hour Rane *** effects of these doses of the extract were then compared with chloroquine(5mg/kg/day) and sulphadoxine/pyrimethamine (3mg/kg/day).We report an average percentage suppressive repository activity of 65.8%for the extract at a dose of 310mg/kg and a blood schizonticidal activity that increased from 68.33%in the 24-hour Rane test to 92%in the 72-hour Rane test for the same dose of *** crude aqueous extract of *** stapf thus has significant repository and blood schizonticidal activities against established *** infection in Swiss albino mice compare to that of pyrimethamine and sulphadoxine/pyrimethamine respectively.

Bifunctional erdite rods as an effective flocculant and catalyst in electro-Fenton systems

erdite rods were massively produced via a one-step alkaline heating route with the complete recycling of waste waterwork sludge. The sludge was a mixture of Fe, Mn, Al, and Si, but only Fe-bearing substances were converted as erdite rods. The erdite rods had 100 nm diameter and 1-5 μm length, and was hydrolysed as Fe-SH-rich flocs in wastewater. Its hydrolysis became slow in the presence of electric field but accelerated by adding PMS. pNitrophenol was targeted as organic pollutant to determine the rods performance. The removal efficiency of pnitrophenol was 7.4% by adding erdite rods, but up to 44.6% with the addition of erdite/PMS, and then dramatically increased to 98.7% in the electro-PMS/erdite system. Given that the free Fe was less than 30 mg/L,the surface Fe of Fe-SH-rich flocs predominated the PMS activation, in which the surface Fe enriched in electronic field and then was involved in the redox reaction of PMS and then reduced by the adjacent S on flocs. This enabled the recycling of Fe3+/Fe2+to activate PMS at high level. Thus, the erdite rods showed high p-nitrophenol removal efficiency in the electro-Fenton system in comparison with the other reported reagents, e.g. ferrous sulphate,ferbam, pyrite and FeS.

中国被认为是世界上经济最发达的国家之一。2007年,中国在超过德国成为世界第三大经济体;随后在2010年,中国超过日本成为世界第二大经济体。经济外交是发展经济的主要手段之一。为促进国家经济增长,中国启动了“一带一路”倡议并上升为国家战略。更为最重要的是,中国在发展与邻国的关系上做出了重大转变。正因为缅甸是中国通往印度洋的两个直接通道之一,缅甸成为中国“一带一路”倡议的重要组成部分。缅也甸是1949年中华人民共和国成立后第一个承认中国政府的非共产主义国家之一。由于中国和缅甸是邻国,两国间的贸易往来频繁。缅甸与中国作为现代民族国家的关系已有70多年的历史,中国对缅甸的经济、政治和安全领域的支持使两国间的关系更为密切。本文从多个方面分析了中国对缅甸的经济外交,也探讨了中国在缅甸进行经济外交的优势和面临的挑战。在亚洲,中巴经济走廊和中孟经济走廊与商业关系有关。由于其地理位置上的战略优势,缅甸不仅对“一带一路”倡议至关重要,而且对孟加拉—中国—印度—缅甸经济走廊（BCIM）也必不可少。孟加拉国-中国-印度-缅甸经济走廊的主要目标是深化中国云南省与邻国之间以及整个中国与孟加拉湾之间的联系。研究发现,BCIM走廊面临的挑战主要来自连个相互关联的因素:第一个因素是中国在该项目占据有压倒性地位,但却礼貌地将中国和印度描绘成项目两足鼎立的景象;第二个因素是位于中国西南的云南省积极参与促进BCIM次区域合作。根据印度“东进政策”的说法,这两个因素是引起人们不满和怀疑的重要根源。印度的东北各州是连接东南亚各国陆上基础设施建设的接口,对双边贸易、文化和种族都具有重要的历史意义。正如其在缅甸北部的传统影响一样,中国巩固了与缅甸的跨境合作,并有可能通过建立边境经济合作区来加强这一合作。加入经济走廊的效益取决于每个成员国如何抓住机遇、发挥其优势并加以利用。未来,缅甸和中国将沿着当前的道路继续前进,并进一步加强双方经贸关系,从而造福两国人民。

Molecular diversity of barley yellow dwarf virus-PAV from China and the Czech Republic

Wheat yellow dwarf disease(BYD),caused by different species of barley/cereal yellow dwarf viruses(B/CYDVs),is one of the most serious cereal diseases in China and the Czech *** genetic diversity of the virus directly influences disease epidemiology,the molecular diversity and population structure of 24 Chinese isolates and 16 the Czech Republic isolates of BYDV-PAV from different regions in two countries were analyzed by sequencing their coat protein(CP)and readthrough protein(RTP)domain(RTD)genes and comparing the sequences with six CP and 16 RTP sequences of BYDVPAV isolates from the NCBI database based on nucleotide identity position,phylogenetic analysis and nucleotide *** identities between the Chinese and the Czech Republic isolates for the CP were 76.6–99.4%,73.9–89.1%for RTD(ORF5),*** Chinese and the other country isolates showed 74.7–99.2%nucleotide identity for RTP(ORF3+ORF5).Phylogenetic analysis of CP sequences showed that 20 Chinese isolates clustered in the same clade,but the other four Chinese isolates clustered in another clade with the isolates from the Czech Republic and other *** population of BYDV-PAV in China had greater nucleotide variability and was more divergent than that in the Czech *** and ecological factors but not hosts might contribute to the population differences in the two countries.

Detection of Schistosoma Antibodies and exploration of associated factors among local residents around Inlay Lake,Southern Shan State,Myanmar

Background:Schistosomiasis is a chronic parasitic disease caused by blood flukes(trematode worms)of the genus *** transmission has been reported in 78 countries affecting at least 258 million people *** was documented that *** species was prevalent in Shan State,Myanmar,but the serological study was not conducted *** objective of the present study was to detect schistosoma antibodies and explore associated factors among local residents living around Inlay Lake,Nyaung Shwe Township,and Southern Shan State,***:An exploratory and cross-sectional analytic study was conducted among local residents(n=315)in selected rural health center(RHC)areas from December 2012 through June *** participants were interviewed with pretested semi-structured questionnaires and their blood samples(serum)were tested using Schistosomiasis Serology Microwell eLISA test kits(sensitivity 100%and specificity 85%)which detected IgG antibodies but could not distinguish between a new and past *** collected were analysed by SPSS software 16.0 and associations of variables were determined by Chi-squared test with a significant level set at ***:Schistosoma seroprevalence(IgG)in study area was found to be 23.8%(95%CI:18.8-28.8%).The present study is the first and foremost study producing serological evidence of schistosoma infection-one of the neglected tropical diseases-in local people of *** factors significantly associated with seropositivity were being male[OR=2.6(95%CI:1.5-4.49),Pesidence[OR=3.41(95%CI:1.6-7.3),Peducation levels[OR=4.5(95%CI:1.18-17.16),Perate/3Rs level ***/graduate and OR=3.16(95%CI:1.26-7.93),Pe level ***/graduate]all factors classically associated with risk of schistosoma *** of the behavioural factors tested were significantly associated with ***:Schistosoma infection s

Differential signaling regulatory networks governing hormone refractory prostate cancers

To understand the organization of the biological networks that might potentially govern the pathogenesis of hormone refractory prostate cancer （HRPC）, we investigated the transcriptional circuitry and signaling in androgen-dependent 22Rvl and MDA PCa 2b cells, androgen- and estrogen-dependent LNCaP cells, and androgen-independent DU 145 and PC-3 prostate cancer （PCa） cell lines. We used microarray analyses, quantitative real-time PCR, pathway prediction analyses, and determination of Transcription Factor Binding Site （TFBS） signatures to dissect HRPC regulatory networks. We generated graphical representations of global topology and local network motifs that might be important in prostate carcinogenesis. Many important putative biomarker ＇target hubs＇ were identified in the current study including AP-1, NF-KB, eGFR, eRK1/2, JNK, p38 MAPK, TGF beta, VeGF, PDGF, CD44, Akt, PI3K, NOTCH1, CASP1, MMP2 and AR. Our results suggest that complex cellular events including autoregulation, feedback loops and cross-talk might govern progression from early lesion to clinically diagnosed PCa, as well as metastatic potential of pre-existent high-grade prostate intraepithelial neoplasia （HG-PIN） and/or advancement to HRPC. The identification of TFBS signatures for TCF/LeF, SOX9 and eLK1 in the regulatory elements suggests additional biomarkers for the potential development of chemopreventive/therapeutic strategies against PCa. Taken together, in this study, we have identified putative biomarker ＇target hubs＇ in the architecture of PCa signaling networks, and investigated TFBS signatures that might enhance our understanding of key regulatory nodes in the progression and pathogenesis of HRPC.
