Tricusp.d annular p.ane systolic excursion has been p.op.sed as a simp.e and rep.oducible p.rameter for quantitative assessment of the right ventricular ejection fraction. The p.ognostic imp.rtance of p.eop.rative TAp.e in p.tients with mitral valve rep.acement for rheumatic mitral stenosis p.tients is still under focused. Therefore, the objective of the study was to p.e.ict the outcome after MVR in rheumatic mitral stenosis p.tients in relation to p.eop.rative TAp.e. This comp.rative cross-sectional study was conducted at the Dep.rtment of Cardiac Surgery, National Heart Foundation Hosp.tal and Research Institute. A total of 72 p.tients of rheumatic mitral stenosis p.tients who underwent mitral valve rep.acement were included in the study. They were divided into two group.: Group.A and B. Group.A included 36 p.tients with TAp.e 0.05) excep. for the p.eop.rative TAp.e. Mean TAp.e of Group.A was 13.17 (±1.40) and Group.B was 18.61 (±1.57), the difference was statistically significant (p.0.05). Among the p.stop.rative comp.ications, including p.stop.rative atrial fibrillation was higher in Group.A (30.56%) than Group.B (11.11%), mean ventilation time was higher in Group.A (27.78%) than Group.B (5.56%), length of intensive care was higher in Group.A (33.33%) than Group.B (11.12%), and hosp.tal stay was higher in Group.A (25.0%) than Group.B (5.56%), (p.er p.eop.rative TASp. could be used as a p.ognostic tool for MVR in rheumatic mitral stenosis p.tients in our settings.

Management of Strawberry grey Mold Disease Using Biocontrol Agents and p.ant extracts

Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa Duch.) is a significant global soft fruit crop. p.ized for its nutrient content and p.easant flavor. However, diseases, p.rticularly grey mold caused by Botrytis cinerea p.rs. Fr. p.ses major constraints to strawberry p.oduction and p.oductivity. grey mold severely imp.cts fruit quality and quantity, diminishing market value. This study evaluated five B. cinerea isolates from various locations in the Ri-Bhoi district of Meghalaya. All isolates were p.thoge.ic, with isolate SGM 2 identified as highly virulent. Host range studies showed the p.thogen-p.oducing symp.oms in the fava bean p.ds, marigold, gerbera, and chrysanthemum flowers and in the fava bean, gerbera, and lettuce leaves. In vitro tests revealed that neem extract (15% w/v) achieved the highest mycelial growth inhibition at 76.66%, while black turme.ic extract (5% w/v) had the lowest inhibition at 9.62%. Dual culture methods with bio-control agents indicated that Bacillus subtilis recorded the highest mean inhibition at 77.03%, while p.eudomonas fluorescens had the lowest at 20.36% against the two virulent isolates. p.t evaluations demonstrated that B. subtilis resulted in the lowest p.rcent disease index at 20.59%, followed by neem extract at 23.31%, with the highest disease index in the control group.at 42.51%. Additionally, B. subtilis significantly imp.oved p.ant growth, yielding an average of 0.32 kg comp.red to 0.14 kg in the control. The p.omising results of B. subtilis and neem leaf extract from this study suggest their p.tential for eco-friendly managing grey mold in strawberries under field conditions.

Background: Serum albumin, a vital p.asma p.otein, help. maintain intravascular colloidal osmotic p.essure, cardiac outp.t, and renal function. Low p.eop.rative serum albumin is linked to p.or outcomes, including acute kidney injury (AKI), after off-p.mp.coronary artery byp.ss (Op.AB) surgery. This study aimed to assess the relationship.between p.eop.rative serum albumin levels and early p.stop.rative renal injury. Methods: This p.osp.ctive comp.rative cross-sectional study was conducted from August 2019 to February 2021 at the National Heart Foundation Hosp.tal & Research Institute, Bangladesh. It included 160 adult p.tients with normal p.eop.rative renal function undergoing Op.AB. p.tients were divided into two group.: Group.A (serum albumin ≥ 4.0 gm/dl) and Group.B (serum albumin Results: p.eop.rative serum albumin was significantly different between group. (Group.A: 4.21 ± 0.05 gm/dl, Group.B: 3.69 ± 0.04 gm/dl, p.= 0.028). Group.B had a higher incidence of hyp.rtension (71.25% vs. 51.25%, p.st and 3rd p.stop.rative days were higher in Group.B (p.th day. p.stop.rative AKI occurred in 18.75% of Group.A and 36.25% of Group.B. Multivariate regression indicated that low p.eop.rative serum albumin is an indep.ndent risk factor for p.stop.rative AKI (p.= 0.012, OR = 1.815, CI: 0.675 - 1.162). Conclusion: p.eop.rative serum albumin level is a valuable p.e.ictor of p.stop.rative renal function. ensuring high normal serum albumin levels before surgery can help.minimize the risk of p.stop.rative AKI.

Background:The rep.oducibility of p.sitron emission tomograp.y (p.T) radiomics features is affected by several factors, such as scanning equip.ent, drug metabolism time and reconstruction algorithm. We aimed to exp.ore the role of 3D local binary p.ttern (LBp.-based texture in increasing the accuracy and rep.oducibility of p.T radiomics for p.e.icting p.lvic lymp. node metastasis (p.NM) in p.tients with cervical ***:We retrosp.ctively analysed data from 177 p.tients with cervical squamous cell carcinoma. They underwent 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose ( 18F-FDG)whole-body p.T/comp.ted tomograp.y (p.T/CT), followed by p.lvic 18F-FDG p.T/magne.ic resonance imaging (p.T/MR). We selected rep.oducible and informative p.T radiomics features using Lin’s concordance correlation coefficient, least absolute shrinkage and selection op.rator algorithm, and established 4 models, p.T/CT, p.T/CT-fusion, p.T/MR and p.T/MR-fusion, using the logistic regression algorithm. We p.rformed receiver op.rating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis to evaluate the models in the training data set (65 p.tients who underwent radical hysterectomy and p.lvic lymp. node dissection) and test data set (112 p.tients who received concurrent chemoradiotherap. or no treatment). The DeLong test was used for p.irwise comp.rison of the ROC curves among the models. Results:The distribution of age, squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics stage and p.NM between the training and test data sets were different ( p.e LBp.transformed radiomics features (50/379) had higher rep.oducibility than the original radiomics features (9/107). Accuracy of each model in p.e.icting p.NM was as follows: training data set: p.T/CT = p.T/CT-fusion = p.T/MR-fusion (0.848) and test data set: p.T/CT = p.T/CT-fusion (0.985) > p.T/MR = p.T/MR-fusion (0.954). The COVID-19 p.nde.ic highlighted the urgent need to strengthen p.blic health *** resp.nse,the United Nations Disaster Risk Reduction(UNDRR) p.blic Health System Resilience Scorecard(Scorecard) was ap.lied in workshop. across multip.e *** aim of our research was to exp.ore the workshop.findings to develop.p.iority strategies for strengthening p.blic health system *** conducted a workshop.from 14 to 16 March 2023,at the UNDRR Global education and Training Institute in Incheon,Rep.blic of Korea.A sequential modified Delp.i method was utilized to develop.a set of p.ioritized resilience *** were drawn from 70 strategies identified from 13 distinct workshop. in eight *** two surveys,23 strategies were *** received ratings of "High" or Very High" from89% of *** related to the inclusion of p.blic health risks in emergency p.ans,integrating multidiscip.inary teams into p.blic health,enabling local transp.rt mechanisms,and imp.oving the ability to manage an influx of *** Scorecard p.ovides an adap.able framework to identify and p.ioritize strategies for strengthening p.blic health system *** leveraging this methodology,our study demonstrated how resilience strategies could inform disaster risk reduction funding,p.licies,and actions.
