Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Wen-Luo-Tong Granules(WLT) local administration in the treatment of patients with peripheral neuropathy(PN) induced by chemotherapy or target therapy. Methods: This study is a randomized, double-blinded, and placebo-controlled trial. Seventy-eight patients with PN induced by chemotherapy or target therapy were enrolled from China-Japan Friendship Hospital between July 2019 and January 2020. They were randomly assigned to WLT(39 cases) and control groups(39 cases) using a block randomization method. The WLT group received WLT(hand and foot bath) plus oral Mecobalamin for 1 week, while the control group received placebo plus oral Mecobalamin. The primary endpoint was PN grade evaluated by the National Cancer Institute-Common Toxicity Criteria for Adverse Events(NCI-CTCAE). The secondary endpoints included quantitative touch-detection threshold, neuropathy symptoms, Quality of Life QuestionnaireChemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy(QLQ-CIPN20), and Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core30(QLQ-C30). Results: After treatment, the PN grade in the WLT group was significantly lower than that in the control group(1.00±0.29 vs. 1.75±0.68, Pduced by chemotherapy or target therapy.(Trial registration No. ChiCTR1900023862)

Identification of reservoir types in deep carbonates has always been a great challenge due to complex logging responses caused by the heterogeneous scale and distribution of storage *** cross-plot analysis and empirical formula methods for identifying reservoir types using geophysical logging data have high uncertainty and low efficiency,which cannot accurately reflect the nonlinear relationship between reservoir types and logging ***,the kernel Fisher discriminant analysis(KFD),a kernel-based machine learning technique,attracts attention in many fields because of its strong nonlinear processing ***,the overall performance of KFD model may be limited as a single kernel function cannot simultaneously extrapolate and interpolate well,especially for highly complex data *** address this issue,in this study,a mixed kernel Fisher discriminant analysis(MKFD)model was established and applied to identify reservoir types of the deep Sinian carbonates in central Sichuan Basin,*** MKFD model was trained and tested with 453 datasets from 7 coring wells,utilizing GR,CAL,DEN,AC,CNL and RT logs as input *** particle swarm optimization(PSO)was adopted for hyper-parameter optimization of MKFD *** evaluate the model performance,prediction results of MKFD were compared with those of basic-kernel based KFD,RF and SVM ***,the built MKFD model was applied in a blind well test,and a variable importance analysis was *** comparison and blind test results demonstrated that MKFD outperformed traditional KFD,RF and SVM in the identification of reservoir types,which provided higher accuracy and stronger *** MKFD can therefore be a reliable method for identifying reservoir types of deep carbonates.

The paper presents an improved plane layout for stabilizing piles based on a proposed piecewise function expression for the irregular driving force. Based on the specific morphological characteristics of a highway landslide, the piecewise function is used to calculate the irregular driving force by dividing the landslide into several ***, the reasonable layout range and pile spacing can be obtained based on the piecewise function expression of the irregular driving force and on relevant research results of the plane layout for stabilizing piles. Therefore, an improved plane layout of stabilizing piles is presented in consideration of a piecewise function expression of the irregular driving force. A highway landslide located in eastern Guizhou Province, China, is analyzed as a case study using the proposed method. The results demonstrate that the theory presented in this paper provides improved economic benefits and can reduce the requirednumber of stabilizing piles by 28.6% compared with the conventional plane layout scheme.

BACKGROUND: Research has revealed a shift towards Th2 in many types of malignant tumor, but the state of Th1/Th2 is not clear in patients with primary hepatic cancer (PHC). This study was designed to determine the expression of Th1- versus Th2-type cytokines in primary hepatic cancer and the adjacent liver tissue in order to provide evidence for treatment of the Th1/Th2 shift. METHODS: Samples were collected from 11 patients with PHC. The gene expression of Th1/Th2 cytokines was detected by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) using IFN-gamma and IL-2 as Th1-type cytokine genes, and IL-4 and IL-10 as Th2-type cytokine genes. RESULTS: Th1-type cytokines were expressed in 7/11 PHCs and 9/11 adjacent liver tissues, while Th0 type cytokines occurred in 4/11 PHCs and 2/11 adjacent liver tissues. CONCLUSION: Th1-type cytokines are expressed predominantly in primary hepatic cancer and the adjacent liver tissue.

Banana fruit（Musa,AAA group,***） peel fails to fully degreen but the pulp ripens normally at temperatures above24°*** abnormal ripening,known as green-ripening,does not occur in plantains（Musa,ABB group,***）.Based on the fact that un-completely yellowing was also observed for bananas in poorly ventilated atmospheres,in the present study,the effect of high CO2 with regular O2（21%） on banana ripening was investigated along with that on plantains at20℃.The results showed that high CO2 conferred different effects on the color changing of bananas and ***6 d ripening in 20%CO2,plantains fully yellowed,while bananas retained high chlorophyll content and stayed *** contrast to the differentiated color changing patterns,the patterns of the softening,starch degradation and soluble sugar accumulation in the pulp of 20%CO2 treated bananas and plantains displayed similarly as the patterns in the fruits ripening in regular air,indicating that the pulp ripening was not inhibited by 20%CO2,and the abnormal ripening of bananas in 20%CO2 can be considered as green *** expression levels of chlorophyll degradation related genes,SGR,NYC and PaO,were detected in the peel of the control and treated fruits,indicating that the repressed degreening in 20%CO2treated bananas was not due to the down-regulation of the chlorophyll degradation related *** to the effect on plantains,20%CO2 treatment delayed the decline in the chlorophyll florescence（F√F_m values and in the mRNA levels of a gene coding small subunit of Rubisco（SSU）,and postponed the disruption of the ultrastructure of chloroplast in the peel tissue of bananas,indicating that the senescence of the green cells in the exocarp layer was delayed by 20%CO2,to more extent in bananas than in *** CO2 reduced the ethylene production and the expression of the related biosynthesis gene,ACS,but elevated the respiration rates in both *** up-regulation of the expression o
