Situs inversus is a rare congenital anomaly referring to the mirror image of the abdominal and thoracic viscera. It can be discovered routinely or on the occasion of a complication related or not to situs inversus. We report a case of Situs inversus discovered incidentally during surgery for acute intestinal obstruction caused by an iatrogenic uterine perforation.

Anticancer Activities and QSAR Study of Novel Agents with a Chemical Profile of Benzimidazolyl-Retrochalcone

The present pharmacochemical and modelling work focused on a benzimidazolyl-chalcone series. These previously synthesized compounds were evaluated in vitro for their anticancer activities against a panel of seven human cancer cell lines and normal fibroblasts. Among the new benzimidazole-supported chalcones, nine (9) compounds (compounds 1 - 4, 6 - 8 and compounds 10 and 11) showed promising anticancer activities with IC50s ranging from 0.83 to 2.58 μM. Compounds 2 and 6 with IC50s of 0.83 and 0.86 μM, respectively, were shown to be potent inhibitors of HCT-116 colon cancer cell proliferation. It was therefore necessary, for a development of this new series of chalcones, to establish through a QSAR study, their quantum descriptors according to the DFT calculation method and following the B3LYP/6-31+G (d,p) theory. These descriptive and predictive studies focused on the colon HCT 116 cell line which was found to be more sensitive to the anticancer action of our benzimidazolyl-retrochalcones. QSAR study showed that the electronic energy (Eelec), lipophilicity (logP), chemical softness (S) and chemical hardness (η) of benzimidazolyl-retrochalcones play an important role in inhibiting cancer cell proliferation.

Groundwater is an essential resource of drinking water in Fu Xian and of whole Yan An. Recently in Fu County;we have seen an increase in the population（Density（/km2）=38） resulting the increased demand for drinking water and can make some environmental problems such surface waters pollution which can also contaminate groundwater. In addition, groundwater once polluted it is difficult to clean. For forestalling groundwater pollution and making respect the existent narrow line between human and its environment, as said by Rio Declaration on Environment and Development 1992, we carried out a series of research in Fu County. A research has taken around 2 years, from 2013 to *** main purpose of this research is to prevention and assessment of the groundwater, and this study will achieve to the following objectives: Providing critical analysis and interpretation of existing data, estimating the risks of contamination, characterize the aquifer system in the aspect of the distribution and evolution of their pollution, and recommendation for improvement of groundwater in Fu *** achieve our goals, we approached the research by using the following scheme which mainly includes three（3） aspects:? Problem definition and data collection? Modelling? In this study,we monitored for the impact of three aqueous extracts of plants(Azadirachta indica,Hyptis suaveolens and Solanum lycopersicum)on insect pests abundance in okra(Abelmoschus esculentus L.)crop,compared to a synthetic chemical«SAUVEUR 62 EC»,having as active ingredients,acetamiprid 32g/l and Lambda-cyhalothrin 30g/*** applications by these extracts were done using manual *** treatment,the insects were caught using two methods(pitfall traps and colored bowls traps).A total of 6505 insects belonging to nine orders were recorded in four *** plot 1(9 orders)was the most diverse,followed by the plot 3(8 orders),the plot 2 and 4(7 orders respectively).Coleoptera,Lepidoptera,Diptera,Orthoptera and Hemiptera were the most *** chemical treatment has impacted significantly the number of orders(p<0.05)but,the insect abundance was impacted significantly by the different biological treatments(p<0.05).This study showed that the aqueous extract of Solanum lycopercicum was more effective on the abundance of pests belonging to Hemiptera,while the aqueous extracts of Azadirachta indica and Hyptis suaveolens were effectives on the abundance of pests belonging to *** chemical treatment was effective on the pests belonging to both orders.

A series of novel substituted benzimidazole (7a - n) derivatives were synthesized and characterized by 1H, 13C Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectra and High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (HRMS). The substitution was done in position -1 and -2 by appropriate groups. These compounds are obtained by N-alkylation reaction with thiomethyl-1H-benzimidazole intermediates (5a - g). In 7 years, we brought together 100 cases of volvulus of the colon sigmoid to the hospital Sominé Dolo of Mopti among which the handle volvule was found without necrosis in 66 cases and necrosis 34 cases. Seventy-six patients benefited from a sigmoidectomy followed by a colorectal anatomize at a time, twenty one patients of an intervention of Hartmann. A surgical distortion was realized at 3 patients. All the patients operated by these last two techniques had a restoring of the digestive continuity for an average deadline of 90 days. The post-operative complications consisted of 11 cases of parietal suppuration and a case of evisceration. The average duration of follow-up was of 210 days. The post-operative mortality was 14%. It was about a state of toxic shock with visceral multi-failure (n = 13), and of a pulmonary embolism (n = 1). The treatment of the volvulus requires a fast diagnostic and therapeutic coverage. The best treatment consists of a resection of the sigmoid as a matter of urgency followed by an immediate anastomosis if the following conditions are carried achieved: state general voucher, experimented surgeon and if the resuscitation meadow, per and post-operative can be assured.

Background:The objective of this work was to evaluate the first results of the radio ablation of the great saphenous vein in the processing of chronic venous insufficiency. Method: This is a monocentric retrospective study of radio ablation of the great saphenous vein using VNUS Closure® FAST for superficial venous insufficiency of the great saphenous vein, between January 2012 and December 2014. Results: 42 patients (57 limbs) were operated on with this technology. There were 33 women and 9 men (mean age: 46.5 years). Thirty-nine patients (92. 8%) were symptomatic. Thirty-two patients (76.1%) were classified CEAP 2. The average diameter of the saphenous vein was 8.5 ± 1.5 mm. Three patients (7.1%) had a percutaneous approach. A perfect occlusion of the saphenous vein was observed in all patients. No incident or undesirable event was observed during the procedure. One case of delayed deep-vein thrombosis was observed. At one month of follow-up, six patients (14.2%) had induration opposite to the occluded vein. Forty-three percent of the patients stated they were very satisfied with the procedure. Conclusion: The effectiveness, security and simplicity of the closure method are real. More studies are necessary to assess the long-term results of this procedure.

Purpose: Our purpose was to describe the epidemiological and therapeutic aspects of the vaginal hydroceles. Methodology: It was a forward-looking and descriptive study of Mars 2014 in July, 2017, which realized in the service of general surgery of the Reference Health Center of Kati (Mali). All the patients operated in the service for hydrocele were included. Other causes of big stock exchange and hydroceles operated outside our service were not including. Results: We operated 92 hydroceles or 5.9% of the surgical activities of the service. The average age was of 34.5 years with extremes of 2 years and 82 years. The most frequent signs of hydrocele were the big painless stock exchange (100%);a transillumination positive (90%) and the effusion of the vaginal in the ultrasound (100%). The cure of hydrocele was realized according to the techniques of Bergmann (94.6%) and of Lord (5.4%). The mortality was nil and the morbidity was 3.3% (2 operating infections of the site and 1 bruise). Conclusion: The hydrocele is a frequent pathology in Africa. The therapeutic strategies are multiple and varied. However, we prefer the Bergmann technique, which is easy, fast and has few complications.

Congenital Depressed Skull Fracture Due to Maternal-Fetal Trauma

The fetal head trauma is rare and seen in pregnant road accidents and during extractive maneuvers during childbirth. We have reported a case of congenital depressed skull fracture due to an innocuous fall from her own height of a pregnant of 35 weeks of amenorrhea. The diagnosis was made at birth, by vaginal delivery, by the discovery of a left frontal depressed skull fracture without neurological disorder. A surgical lifting of the drepressed skull fracture was made at the 2nd day of life. Outcome was good marked by a normal psychomotor development.

This study focuses on the problem of access to drinking water in the fractured areas of the departments of Yamoussoukro and Toumodi. The problem has become more acute since most of the boreholes drilled have failed. The main objective of this study is to map the areas that are favorable for the installation of large boreholes in the departments of Yamoussoukro and Toumodi in order to increase the population’s drinking water needs. Hydroclimatic and cartographic data, technical surveys of boreholes and satellite images were used to conduct this study. The AHP multi-criteria analysis method was adopted. It consists in aggregating the criteria by weighting and allowed to combine these different data to generate maps of groundwater availability, accessibility and exploitability indicators. These different indicators were then considered as criteria and combined using the full aggregation technique to produce the water potential map. These results show that the study area has significant groundwater reserves with nearly 63% of these areas being favorable for the establishment of large flow boreholes. This study provides some answers to the question of groundwater resources and could be used as a decision support tool in the execution of groundwater collection works in the departments of Yamoussoukro and Toumodi in order to avoid the high percentage of drilling failures encountered in past projects.
