Plasmonic tandem heterojunctions enable high-efficiency charge transfer for broad spectrum photocatalytic hydrogen production

Rational engineering of semiconductor photocatalysts for efficient hydrogen production is of great significance but still challenging,primarily due to the limitations in charge transfer ***,a fascinating plasmonic tandem heterojunction with the hc-CdS/Mo2C@C heterostructure is aimfully prepared for effectively promoting the charge separation kinetics of the CdS photocatalyst via the synergistic strategy of phase junction,Schottky junction,and photothermal *** difference in atomic configuration between cubic-CdS （c-CdS） and hexagonal-CdS （h-CdS） leads to effective charge separation through a typical Ⅱ charge transfer mechanism,and plasmonic Schottky junction further extracts the electrons in the hc-CdS phase junction to realize gradient charge ***,the photothermal effect of Mo2C@C helps to expand the light absorption,accelerate charge transfer kinetics,and reduce the hydrogen evolution energy *** carbon layer provides a fast channel for charge transfer and protects the photocatalyst from *** a result,the optimized hc-CMC photocatalyst exhibits a significantly high photocatalytic H2production activity of 28.63 mmol/g/h and apparent quantum efficiency of 61.8%,surpassing most of the reported *** study provides a feasible strategy to enhance the charge transfer kinetics and photocatalytic activity of CdS by constructing plasmonic tandem heterogeneous junctions.

Peripheral nerve injury is a common neurological condition that often leads to severe functional limitations and *** on the pathogenesis of peripheral nerve injury has focused on pathological changes at individual injury sites,neglecting multilevel pathological analysis of the overall nervous system and target *** has led to restrictions on current therapeutic *** this paper,we first summarize the potential mechanisms of peripheral nerve injury from a holistic perspective,covering the central nervous system,peripheral nervous system,and target *** peripheral nerve injury,the cortical plasticity of the brain is altered due to damage to and regeneration of peripheral nerves;changes such as neuronal apoptosis and axonal demyelination occur in the spinal *** nerve will undergo axonal regeneration,activation of Schwann cells,inflammatory response,and vascular system regeneration at the injury *** damage to target organs can occur,including skeletal muscle atrophy and sensory receptor *** then provide a brief review of the research advances in therapeutic approaches to peripheral nerve *** main current treatments are conducted passively and include physical factor rehabilitation,pharmacological treatments,cell-based therapies,and physical ***,most treatments only partially address the problem and cannot complete the systematic recovery of the entire central nervous system-peripheral nervous system-target organ ***,we should further explore multilevel treatment options that produce effective,long-lasting results,perhaps requiring a combination of passive(traditional)and active(novel)treatment methods to stimulate rehabilitation at the central-peripheral-target organ levels to achieve better functional recovery.

A low redox potential and long life organic anode material for sodium-ion batteries

Sodium-ion batteries （SIBs） with organic electrodes are an emerging research direction due to the sustainability of organic materials based on elements like C,H,O,and sodium ***,organic electrode materials for SIBs are mainly used as cathodes because of their relatively high redox potentials（>1 V）.Organic electrodes with low redox potential that can be used as anode are ***,a novel organic anode material （tetrasodium 1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylate,Na4TDC） has been developed with low redox potential （<0.7 V） and excellent cyclic *** three-sodium storage mechanism was demonstrated with various in-situ/ex-situ spectroscopy and theoretical calculations,showing a high capacity of 208 mAh/g and an average decay rate of merely 0.022%per ***,the Na4TDC-hard carbon composite can further acquire improved capacity and cycling stability for 1200 cycles even with a high mass loading of up to 20 mg *** pairing with a thick Na3V2（PO4）3cathode (20.6 mg cm-2),the as-fabricated full cell exhibited high operating voltage （2.8 V）,excellent rate performance and cycling stability with a high capacity retention of 88.7% after 200 cycles,well highlighting the Na4TDC anode material for SIBs.

Provenance of upper Permian-lowermost Triassic sandstones, Wutonggou low-order cycle, Bogda Mountains, NW China:implications on the unroofing history of the Eastern North Tianshan Suture

This study investigates the provenance of sedimentary rocks in Bogda Mountains, NW China, and reconstructs the lithology and unroofing history of the Eastern North Tianshan Suture. Petrographic point counting data of sandstones and compositions of conglomerates of upper Permian-lowermost Triassic Wutonggou low-order cycle from Zhaobishan, North Tarlong, Taodonggou, and Dalongkou sections in the southern and northern foothills of Bogda Mountains were used to interpret the temporal and spatial variations of lithology of the Eastern North Tianshan Suture, which is the sediment source area. Three compositional trends were identified. A trend of upwardincreasing quartz content and granitic pebbles in Zhaobishan section suggests a change from the undissected volcanic arc, accretionary wedge and trench setting to predominantly transitional volcanic arc and subordinate accretionary wedge and trench, in the eastern part of the Eastern North Tianshan Suture. In North Tarlong and Taodonggou sections, however, the lithic content decreases and the contents of quartz and granitic pebbles increase up sections. These trends indicate that the western part of the Eastern North Tianshan Suture changed from an undissected volcanic arc to the transitional volcanic arc, accretionary wedge and trench. No clear trend in the lithic-rich sandstones of the Dalongkou section indicates that sediments were derived from the undissected volcanic arc in the Eastern North Tianshan Suture and local rift shoulders. Compositional variations of studied rocks suggest that the Eastern North Tianshan Suture was an amalgamated complex with great spatial and temporal heterogeneities in lithology and experienced persistent unroofing during late Permian-earliest Triassic. This study reconstructs a key element of the Chinese Tianshan Suture and serves as an example to understand the unroofing processes of ancient sutures.

Engineering N3C vacancies in hierarchical porous carbon nitride nanosheets for room temperature ultradeep photocatalytic aerobic oxidative desulfurization

The production of ultra-low sulfur clean fuels holds global significance for improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental pollution. Photocatalytic aerobic oxidative desulfurization（PODS） offers an attractive approach to efficiently remove refractory heterocyclic aromatic sulfur compounds under mild conditions. However, the sluggish charge dynamics,insufficient molecule activation, and slow mass transfer within photocatalysts restrict the overall desulfurization efficiency,hindering the widespread application of this technology. Herein, we developed a defective g-C3N4（M1U3CN） photocatalyst with bridged N3Cvacancies and hierarchical porous structures to address these limitations. This catalyst not only demonstrates outstanding dibenzothiophene（DBT） removal efficiency of 99.6% for model oil with high conversion and selectivity but also achieves complete sulfur removal from gasoline as well as 96.7% sulfur removal for distilled diesel at room temperature,successfully achieving ultradeep aerobic oxidative desulfurization. The introduction of rich N3Cvacancies and abundant micromeso-macroporous distribution in M1U3CN enhances kinetic efficiencies by promoting charge carrier separation, mass transfer,and molecular activation simultaneously; resulting in exceptional PODS performance. This work provides a collaborative strategy to overcome kinetic challenges in aerobic oxidative desulfurization via defect and structural engineering of the catalyst.

In clinical assessment or sports exercise,it is common that a subject is required to repeat a specific per- formance so that a stable movement pattern is obtained and *** practice,however,the trials done by a sub- ject vary more or less,depending on the psychological or physical *** of the trials can be used as rep- resentatives of the stable movement pattern,and some ***,there is a demand for a new method to identify which trials/curves are *** traditional methods used to assess curve similarity are not perfectly suitable for the case where there are only a few of trials *** study proposes a similarity-distance coefficient to assess the similarity of curves/trials.A group of designed curves are used to validate the *** results show that given joint kinematic data during gait as examples,the proposed coefficient can be used to quantitatively evaluate the similarity of trials,and thus find which trials would be representative (s) for the gait *** proposed method could be applied in various situations where repeat movements have to be measured and analysed.

EFFECT OF A MOVING BOUNDARY ON THE FLUID TRANSIENT FLOW IN LOW PERMEABILITY RESERVOIRS

In a low permeability reservoir, the existence of a moving boundary is considered in the study of the transient porous flow with threshold pressure gradient. The transmission of the moving boundary directly indicates the size of the drainage area as well as the apparent influences on the pressure behavior. The nonlinear transient flow mathematical model in which the threshold pressure gradient and the moving boundary are incorporated is solved by advanced mathematical methods. This paper presents some new analytical solutions describing the pressure distribution at a constant rate and the production decline in a constant pressure production with the boundary propagation. It is shown that the greater the threshold pressure gradient, the slower the transmission of the moving boundary, the larger the pressure loss will be, and there is no radial flow in the middle and later phases of the wellface pressure for a well at a constant rate. We have the the maximum moving boundary at a specific drawdown pressure for a low permeability reservoir The greater the threshold pressure gradient, the smaller the maximum moving boundary distance, the quicker the production decline for a well in a constant pressure production will be. The type curve charts for the modern well test analysis and the rate transient analysis with a moving boundary are obtained and the field test and the production data are interpreted as examples to illustrate how to use our new results.

Recent research has demonstrated the impact of physical activity on the prognosis of glioma patients,with evidence suggesting exercise may reduce mortality risks and aid neural *** role of the small ubiquitin-like modifier(SUMO)protein,especially post-exercise,in cancer progression,is gaining attention,as are the potential anti-cancer effects of *** used machine learning to create the exercise and SUMO-related gene signature(ESLRS).This signature shows how physical activity might help improve the outlook for low-grade glioma and other *** demonstrated the prognostic and immunotherapeutic significance of ESLRS markers,specifically highlighting how murine double minute 2(MDM2),a component of the ESLRS,can be targeted by *** underscores the intricate relationship between natural compounds such as nutlin-3 and immune *** comprehensive CRISPR screening,we validated the effects of specific ESLRS genes on low-grade glioma *** also revealed insights into the effectiveness of Nutlin-3a as a potent MDM2 inhibitor through molecular docking and dynamic ***-3a inhibited glioma cell proliferation and activated the p53 *** efficacy decreased with MDM2 overexpression,and this was reversed by Nutlin-3a or *** using a low-grade glioma mouse model highlighted the effect of physical activity on oxidative stress and molecular pathway ***,both physical exercise and Nutlin-3a administration improved physical function in mice bearing tumors derived from MDM2-overexpressing *** results suggest the potential for Nutlin-3a,an MDM2 inhibitor,with physical exercise as a therapeutic approach for glioma *** research also supports the use of natural products for therapy and sheds light on the interaction of exercise,natural products,and immune regulation in cancer treatment.

Analysis and Prevention for Oscillation Failure of Capacitive Micro-accelerometers

As actuator of the force-rebalanced servo loop, the electrostatic force generator of the micro-accelerometer shows high nonlinearity while the interpole of the micro-electro-mechanical system（MEMS） sensor is far away from its balance position. The control system cannot rebalance itself with the limited bandwidth after an external long overload, because the characteristics of the force generator differ from normal case. Although for similar problems, solutions with cascading lead-lag blocks, with the anti-windup（AW） technology, or with the sliding-mode control, are widely reported, the problems such as performance loss or difficulty to synthesize a digital controller still remain. Based on existing researches, remedies are developed by analyzing the characteristic of the system not only near the balance position, but also corresponding to the whole moveable range of the interpole, and a new controller is proposed. The solution is compared with the common solutions of cascading lead-lag blocks method, AW methods, and sliding mode methods. Comparison results show that the proposed solution avoid performance loss, compared to cascading lead-lag blocks solution; the proposed solution is easily synthesized and implemented in the analog servo loop of the micro-accelerometer, compared to digital AW methods; at the same time, the proposed solution avoids suffering the chattering effect problem but just utilize it, compared to the sliding-mode control solution. Nevertheless, comparison results show the solution is lack of commonality, since the solution is only more suitable to micro electrostatic force-rebalance system. The SIMULINK models with and without the proposed solution, taking typical micro-accelerometer parameters, have been set up for simulation; corresponding experiments utilizing electrometric method are also conducted after the successful simulations. Template synthesis of imine-based covalent organic framework core-shell structure and hollow sphere:a case of COFTTA-DHTA

Controllably synthesizing well-dispersed covalent organic frameworks （COFs） with uniform both morphology and size is still a challenge. Herein, we report the template-directed synthesis of ***-based core-shell hybrids under solvothermal conditions by using amino-functionalized SiO2 microspheres as templates coupled with stepwise addition of initial monomer molecules. The modified amino groups on the surfaces of SiO2 templates play an important role in the formation of well-defined NH2-f-SiO2@COFTTA-DHXA core-shell hybrids. COFTTA-DHTA hollow spheres can be obtained by etching SiO2 cores of NH2-f-SiO2@COFTTA-DHTA. Both the NH2-f-SiO2@COFTTA-I）HTA and COFxTA-DHVA hollow spheres possess the well-defined morphology, high crystallinity and porosity, excellent dispersion property and high chemical stability. The template synthesis method demonstrated in this work provides a general method for the shape-controlled synthesis of COF-based materials, which is important for the further applications in the fields such as energy storage, drug delivery and catalysis.
