A new genus and three new species of miniaturized microhylid frogs from Indochina(Amphibia: Anura:microhylidae: Asterophryinae)

We report on the discovery of a new genus of microhylid subfamily Asterophryinae from northern and eastern Indochina, containing three new *** Gen. nov. are secretive miniaturized frogs(SVLmm) with a mostly semi-fossorial lifestyle. To assess phylogenetic relationships, we studied 12 S rRNA – 16 S rRNA mt DNA fragments with a final alignment of 2 591 bp for 53 microhylid species. morphological and osteological characters were analyzed using micro-CT scanning and used to describe the new genus. Results of phylogenetic analyses assigned the new genus into the mainly Australasian subfamily Asterophryinae as a sister taxon to the genus Siamophryne from southern Indochina. The three specimens collected from Gia Lai Province in central Vietnam, Cao Bang Province in northern Vietnam, and Chiang Rai Province in northern Thailand proved to be separate species, different both in morphology and genetics(genetic divergence 3.1%≤P≤5.1%). Our work provides further evidence for the "out of Indo-Eurasia"scenario for Asterophryinae, indicating that the initial cladogenesis and differentiation of this group of frogs occurred in the Indochina Peninsula. To date, each of the three new species of Vietnamophryne Gen. nov. is known only from a single specimen; thus,their distribution, life history, and conservation status require further study.

Self-organization of Atoms into Nanosystems

The mechanism of addition of separate atoms to a growing center is considered with application of model of a pair interpenetration of atoms. Features of geometrical model are related with the electronic structure of atoms and the Pauli＇s exclusion principle. The forces providing self-organization of atoms in the bulk of a condensed substance are shown. The calculated interatomic distances in graphite and alloys of gold with silver coincide with those known from experiments with accuracy of 0.1%.

Reperfusion injury after critical intestinal ischemia and its correction with perfluorochemical emulsion "perftoran"

AIm： To investigate the anti-ischemic properties of perfluorochemical emulsion ＂perftoran＂ in mesenteric region. mETHODS： Experiments were conducted on 146 nonlinear white male rats weighing 200-350 g. Partial critical intestinal ischemia was induced by thorough atraumatic strangulation of 5-6 cm jejunal loop with its mesentery for 90 rain. Global critical intestinal ischemia was made by atraumatic occlusion of the cranial mesenteric artery （CmA） for 90 rain also. Perftoran （PF, 0.8-1.0 mL per 100 g） in experimental groups or 0.9% sodium chloride in control groups was injected at 75 rain of ischemic period. mean systemic arterial blood pressure （BPm） registration, intravital microscopy and morphological examination of ischemic intestine and its mesentery were performed in both groups. RESULTS： During 90 min of reperfusion, BPm progressively decreased to 27.3±7.4% after PF administration vs 38.6±8.0% in the control group of rats with partial intestinal ischemia （NS） and to 50.3±6.9% vs 53.1±5.8% in rats after global ischemia （NS）. During the reperfusion period, full restoration of microcirculation was never registered; parts with restored blood flow had leukocyte and erythrocyte stasis and intra-vascular clotting, a typical ＂non-reflow＂phenomenon. The reduction of mesenteric 50-400 μm feeding artery diameter was significantly less in the PF group than in the control group （24±5.5% vs 45.2±3.6%, P〈0.05） 5 min after partial intestinal ischemia. This decrease progressed but differences between groups minimized at the 90th min of reperfusion （41.5±4.2% and 50.3±2.8%, respectively）. In reperfusion of rat＇s intestine, a significant mucosal alteration was registered. Villous height decreased 2.5-3 times and the quantity of crypts decreased more than twice. In the group of rats administered PF, intestinal mucosal layer was protected from irreversible post-ischemic derangement during reperfusion. Saved cryptal epithelial cells were the source of regeneration of the epithelium

Zircon Xenocrysts from the Shaka Ridge Record Ancient Continental Crust:New U-Pb Geochronological and Oxygen Isotopic Data

Over the past two decades, a significant number of discoveries of ancient zircon xenocrysts in ocean-floor magmatic rocks have been reported. These findings provide compelling evidence for the presence of ancient continental crust within young oceanic lithosphere. Almost all finds of ancient zircon xenocrysts within oceanic crust are from the mid-Atlantic Ridge. For other localities, however, similar data are very limited. This report presents the first age determinations(U-Pb, SHRImPII) and isotope-geochemical data(oxygen, trace and rare earth elements) for zircon xenocrysts from gabbro-diorites of the Shaka Ridge, in the vicinity of the Shaka fracture zone, near the western end of the Southwest Indian Ridge. The work is based on a study of bottom rock material dredged during expeditionary research on the R/V"Akademik Fedorov"(Russia) in 2016. The U-Pb isotope system of the zircon xenocrysts recorded a crystallization age of ~2.8 Ga at an upper discordia intercept and an age of ~600 ma interpreted as the timing of a superimposed thermal event at a lower discordia *** zircon xenocrysts show geochemical signatures of magmatic origin, i.e., fractionated REE distribution spectra with an increase in chondrite-normalized values from light to heavy REE, positive Ce anomalies and negative Eu anomalies, and high Th/U ratios(0.59-7.77). In discrimination diagrams based on a series of inter-element relationships, zircon compositions fall into the fields of zircons from rocks of continental crust, mostly granitoids. The Li content of the zircons is high(1.8 ppm-50 ppm),adding further evidence to their derivation from rocks of continental crust. During their residence within young oceanic crust, the zircon xenocrysts experienced alterations under the influence of submarine high-temperature hydrothermal fluids, which selectively affected the distribution of trace elements in the zircons and reduced the δ;O values to 1.75‰-3.15‰. Static loading and vertical displacement at southern Siberia

Seismic method is usually used for elastic parametric estimation. This is why this method presents dynamic parameters of Earth. Frequency seismic range changes greatly from geodynamic modelling time. Now we have opportunity to use geodesy result for some years for elastic parameters estimation. Static solution from elastic theory may be used for the interpretation of long term results. It presents static elastic parameter. The inverse problem for different types of vertical surface loading on one year period is calculated. Two cases of loading with maximal and minimal area are presented. Results are determined by space geodesy and leveling methods. Current relation between atmospheric pressure and vertical displacements was estimated at the center of Siberian Anti Cyclone with size varied from 2000 km to 3000 kin. Pressure-displacement coefficients （PDC） can be achieved by three years obser- vation （0.997 mm/mbar for NVSK GPS station）. It is used for elastic module study of geology medium with maximum thickness up to 600 km. In the context of elastic model, the modulus of rigidity is estimated to be 113 GPa. Vast expanse of anti-cyclone may relate with rheology of crust and upper mantle. Smaller size of surface loading - local loading is seasonal variation of water reservoir. Annual vertical changes were obtained by leveling near the dam of the reservoir. PDC ratio was 1.15 mm/bar for these places. In elastic theory, the Young modulus E = 80 GPa （Poisson ratio = 0.25, the modulus of rigidity - 32 GPa） was calculated by sixteen years of leveling measurements. This result can effectively be represented for upper crust. Our results were checked by solution for coseismic displacement of Chyia- Altai earthquake （Sep. 27, 2003, m = 7.3）. Coseismic results calculated by static modules agree with experimental coseismic GPS data at 10% level.

Rationality of escalating commitment in information systems project management： An inter-disciplinary perspective

Escalation of commitment has been linked to losses in information systems （IS） projects. Understanding the nature and the rationality of escalation allows the firm to promote optimal project management practices. This study takes an inter-disciplinary approach and draws on research from economics and management to create a model of irrational escalation and a model of rational escalation. The forces that contribute to irrational escalation include the responsibility of the same manager for both the project selection and project continuation decisions that create proneness to self-justification, the potential for negative framing of decision options due to large sunk costs, the proximity of project completion and the presence of organizational inertia. Identifying these irrational escalation factors helps design appropriate de-escalation techniques. The rational escalation model draws on the real option theory and the bandit process theory to identify conditions when project continuation is justified by the value of information and the value of flexibility that the firm receives from continuing the project.

On the Reproduction Number and a Presentation of Results for Infectious Diseases models

The classical Kermack-mcKendrick homogeneous SIR （susceptible, infected and removed） model is well known, Its general solution is a function of the unique parameter （the reproduction number） that is equal to a mean number of secondary cases produced by a typical infected individual in a completely susceptible population. If the reproduction number is more than one （the threshold value） its value describes an epidemic scope： larger values correspond to more severe epidemics. In the more complex compartment SIR models the population is divided into several non-overlapping groups. It allows us to partly remove assumptions of the classical model. It is well known that for this kind of models, just as for the classical model there is the threshold parameter R0. Usually it is called by the same name--the reproduction number--though the physical meaning of this parameter has changed. The main purpose of the paper is to show that this new parameter is a not unique measure of an epidemic severity for any compartment SIR model. In particular it means that for such models comparison of the severity of two epidemics by simple comparing values of their reproduction numbers is incorrect. For compartment models these statements were proved with the help of the corresponding ODEs analysis. Very popular now individual-based models （IBms） are more complex in comparison with the compartment ones since they use overlapping groups （school children are members of families also, for example）. In such a case Diekmann＇s calculation method for the reproduction number used in many papers is inapplicable as well as a presentation the simulation results obtained as functions of this parameter.
