In this paper,we analyzed the physical characteristics of.the ternary alloys RE_(2)Rh_(3)Ge(RE=Pr and Sm)using the f.rst principles calculation based on f.nctional density theory integrated in the Wien2k.*** calculated f.rmation energies of.Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and Sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge are−5.3827 and−5.2782 eV/atom,respectively,showing that these alloys may exist *** results of.the band structure and density of.states indicate that all of.the compounds tested are magnetic metals,and their magnetism is mostly related to the contribution of.Pr and Sm *** total magnetic moments of.Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and Sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge are 4.07245 and 11.16161μB/f.u,*** parameters such as heat capacity at constant pressure,entropy,Debye temperature,lattice volume,compressibility coef.icients,and Grüneisen parameter alloys were calculated using the Gibbs algorithm and studied in depth over a large temperature range of.0-900 *** Debye temperature increases with increasing pressure and decreases with decreasing ***,the Debye temperatures calculated at p=0 GPa and T=300 k.are equal to be 342 and 322 k.f.r Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and Sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge,*** optical characteristics such as the real and imaginary portions of.the dielectric f.nction,the absorption coef.icient,the energy-loss f.nction,and the ref.active index were investigated and discussed in more depth.

In a recent study published in Nature,York.and cowork.rs identif.ed the immunometabolic regulation of.mono-unsaturated f.tty acid(MUf.)pools and the subsequent increase in sphingolipid biosynthesis in TLR2-activated macrophages as an important link.between impaired IL-10 signaling and the development of.intestinal inf.ammation.1 Thus,targeted interf.rence with the newly identif.ed IL-10/MUf./sphingolipid axis appears as a promising strategy to restore immunometabolic homeostasis in the intestine of.patients with inf.ammatory bowel diseases(IBD).

In most f.rming systems newly introduced commercial f.rtilizers to be accepted, adopted and used by f.rmers, their ef.ectiveness and appropriate application rates must be exhibited. This study was conducted to validate the ef.ect and rates of.a bio-f.rtilizer (super agric) on oil palm seedling growth. The trial was laid out in a randomized complete block.design (RCBD) with three application rates of.0, 4 and 8 ml/L of.water (treatments) replicated thrice. f.llowing the application of.super agric to oil palm seedlings f.r a period of.six months, observations drawn f.om the analysis of.growth data were as f.llows: Three months af.er treatment, super agric signif.cantly (P f.oil palm seedling compared to those which were not applied with super agric. The results also showed that when super agric was applied at a rate of.4 ml/L, the leaf.length and breadth were higher compared to the control were super agric was not used. f.rthermore, applications of.super agric improved oil palm seedling nitrogen uptak. by 31% in treatment groups as compared to the control which explained the height and breadth increase in the oil palm seedlings that were applied with super agric. On the other hand, the ef.ect of.super agric application on phosphorus uptak. by seedlings was not signif.cant. Although the height, breadth, leaf.width and length were all signif.cantly af.ected by super agric application, the number of.oil palm leaves and spears were not af.ected f.r the period the experiment was conducted. Six months af.er application of.super agric the growth of.oil palm seedlings was f.vorably impacted, hence we recommend super agric to be promoted among oil palm seedling growers.

We examine electron k.netic ef.ects in broadband-laser-driven back.stimulated Raman scattering(BSRS)bursts using particle-in-cell *** bursts occur during the nonlinear stage,causing ref.ectivity spik.s and generating large numbers of.hot ***-duration simulations are perf.rmed to observe burst events,and a simplif.ed model is developed to eliminate the interf.rence of.the broadband laser’s random intensity *** the simplif.ed model,we isolate and characterize the spectrum of.electron plasma *** spectrum changes f.om a sideband structure to a turbulence-lik. structure during the burst.A signif.cant asymmetry in the spectrum is *** asymmetry is amplif.ed and transf.rred to electron phase space by high-intensity broadband laser pulses,leading to violent vortex-merging and generation of.hot *** proportion of.hot electrons increases f.om 6.76%to 14.7%during a single violent burst *** demonstrate that k.netic ef.ects prof.undly inf.uence the BSRS evolution driven by broadband lasers.

HACEk.organisms represent a rare but important group of.causative pathogens in endocarditis. These bacteria have historically been associated with culture-negative endocarditis;however, modern laboratory techniques have made this less common. In this case, we present a 74-year-old man who presented with acute onset altered mentation, f.ver, and sepsis. He was ultimately f.und to have Haemophilus inf.uenzae meningitis, cerebral empyema, aortic valve endocarditis, psoas myositis, and L2 - L3 disk.tis with osteomyelitis. Although HACEk.organisms are commonly f.und in the oropharynx and upper respiratory tract in humans, our patient did not report recent preceding dental or ENT procedures. H. inf.uenzae is responsible f.r approximately 0.16% of.all cases of.bacterial endocarditis, representing a very limited subset. Although generally considered low virulent pathogens, this case demonstrates the unusual extent of.inf.ction f.om a HACEk.organism, H. inf.uenzae, causing aortic valve endocarditis as well as atypical non-cardiac sequelae, including acute meningitis.

The microstructures and hardness of.pure Al samples subjected to plastic def.rmation with dif.erent tem- peratures and strain rates were investigated. The results showed that the strain-induced grain ref.nement is signif.cantly benef.ted by increasing strain rate and reducing def.rmation temperature. The saturated size of.ref.ned subgrains in Al can be as small as about 240 nm in cryogenic dynamic plastic def.rmation （DPD）. Grain boundaries of.the DPD Al samples are low-angle boundaries due to suppression of.dynamic recovery during def.rmation. Agreement of.the measured hardness with the empirical Hall-Petch relation extrapolated f.om the coarse-grained Al implies that the low-angle boundaries can contribute to strengthening as ef.ective as the conventional grain boundaries.

In situ inf.ow and outf.ow permeability tests with the BAT probe at SarapuíII sof. clay test site are presented.A description of.the BAT permeability test is provided,discussing its advantages and shortcomings,especially in the case of.very sof. clays under low *** pressures were monitored during probe installation and were f.und to be slightly lower than piezocone u2 pore pressures,consistent with the position of.the *** role of.f.lter tip saturation was investigated af.er the usual saturation procedure provided an unsatisf.ctory pore pressure response during probe *** show that the vacuum saturation procedure provides adequate response during installation and increases the reliability of.the coef.icient of.permeability determination in early *** inf.ow and outf.ow tests yielded similar results,indicating that caref.l execution of.the test can lead to good test repeatability regardless of.the loading *** sequences of.alternated inf.ow and outf.ow tests have yielded similar results,indicating that soil reconsolidation and f.lter clogging were negligible in the tests *** are presented concerning the relationship between index parameters and the in situ coef.icient of.permeability f.r SarapuíII clay,which plot outside the range of.existing databases.

Methionine(Met)is an essential and f.rst limiting amino acid in the poultry diet that plays a signif.cant role in chick.n embryonic development and *** present study examined the ef.ect of.in ovo injection of.DL-Met and L-Met sources and genotypes on chick.n embryonic-intestinal development and *** eggs of.the two genotypes,TETRA-SL layer hybrid(TSL)—commercial layer hybrid and Hungarian Partridge colored hen breed(HPC)—a native genotype,were randomly distributed into f.ur treatments f.r each *** treatment groups include the f.llowing:1)control non-injected eggs(NoIn);2)saline-injected(SaIn);3)DL-Met injected(DLM);and 4)L-Met injected(LM).The in ovo injection was carried out on 17.5 d of.embryonic development;af.er hatching,eight chick. per group were sacrif.ced,and the jejunum was extracted f.r *** results showed that both DLM and LM groups had enhanced intestinal development as evidenced by increased villus width,villus height,and villus area(Pf.cantly reduced crypt depth,glutathione(GSH)content,glutathione S-transf.rase 3 alpha(GST3),occludin(OCLN)gene expression and increased villus height to crypt depth ratio in the TSL genotype than the LM group(Pk. growth f.ctor 1(IGf.)gene,tricellulin(MD2),occludin(OCLN),superoxide dismutase 1(SOD1),and GST3 genes than the TSL genotype(Pf.ndings showed that in ovo injection of.Met enhanced intestinal development,and f.nction,with genotypes responding dif.erently under normal *** also inf.uenced the expression of.intestinal antioxidants,tight junction,and growth-related genes.
