Background: Pancreatic trauma (PT) accounts for less than 1% of all trauma admissions. Occasionally, PT is undetected during theprimary survey and becomes apparent only when complications arise. It occurs in up to 5% of blunt abdominal trauma cases and 12%of individuals with penetrating abdominal injuries. Management is determined by the status of the main pancreatic duct and ***: This was an ambispective study conducted at the Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Center, All India Institute ofMedical Sciences,New Delhi, from January 2015 to December 2017 (retrospective), and January 2019 to December 2020 (prospective). In total, 113patients with PT were included in this ***:We analyzed the data of 113 patients with PT included in this study, of whichmales predominated (93.7%). Blunt PT was presentin 101 patients (89.4%) and penetrating PT in 12 patients (10.6%). Half of the patients (51.3%) had the American Association for theSurgery of Trauma grade III PT, followed by grade II (18.6%), and grade I (15%). Of the total 113 patients, 68 (60.2%) were treated withoperative management, and 45 (39.8%) with nonoperative management. Distal pancreatectomy, with or without splenectomy, was themost common procedure performed in our study, followed by drainage. There were 27 mortalities (23.8%) during the study period, ofwhich 7 were directly related to PT and 20 were due to other organ-related sepsis and hemorrhagic ***: Pancreatic trauma is rare but challenging for trauma surgeons, with persistent management controversies. Early diagnosisis important for favorable results;however, a delay in diagnosis has been associated with higher morbidity and mortality. Low-grade pancreaticinjuries can be successfully managed nonoperatively, whereas high-grade pancreatic injuries require surgical intervention.

Aim:The aim was to study the role of jet force technology(JFT)in wound ***:This is a retrospective analysis of 18 cases of chronic nonhealing wounds in which JFT was *** wounds which had already undergone surgical debridement but which were not ready for reconstruction(skin graft/flap)secondary to a persistent bacterial load or infection(tissue culture positive)were included in the *** were divided into two *** 1 included those patients who were poor candidates for anesthesia or who refused for reconstruction and were managed with JFT *** 2 included those patients who were cleared for anesthesia and who were and who were managed with JFT and skin graft or flap *** time to negative wound cultures after JFT and the total duration of healing were ***:In both the groups,all tissue culture positive chronic wounds became negative after 2±1 weeks and were ready for *** Group 1(6 patients),the wounds completely healed in 5-6 weeks with JFT *** Group 2(12 patients),the wounds completely healed in 3-4 weeks with JFT and skin graft/***:Hydrotherapy with JFT helps in the removal of contaminants,debris,and microbial colonization of the wound leading to spontaneous wound healing and facilitating wound bed preparation for wound coverage by a skin graft or flap.

Fetus in fetu is an extremely rare condition embryologically arising in monozygotic diamniotic twins with an incidence of 1:500,000 births. To the best of our knowledge, number of reported cases should not be more than 100 with majority of cases presenting in post natal life with only 5 cases detected prenatally. We are presenting a case diagnosed at 24 weeks of gestation on ultrasound with presence of well formed skull, facial skeleton and bony orbit.

Chronic wounds affect over 6.5 million Americans and are notoriously difficult to *** oxygenation of the wound bed is one of the most critical and treatable wound management factors,but existing oxygenation systems do not enable concurrent measurement and delivery of oxygen in a convenient wearable ***,we developed a low-cost alternative for continuous O 2 delivery and sensing comprising of an inexpensive,paper-based,biocompatible,flexible platform for locally generating and measuring oxygen in a wound *** platform takes advantage of recent developments in the fabrication of flexible microsystems including the incorporation of paper as a substrate and the use of a scalable manufacturing technology,inkjet ***,we demonstrate the functionality of the oxygenation patch,capable of increasing oxygen concentration in a gel substrate by 13%(5ppm)in *** platform is able to sense oxygen in a range of 5–26 *** vivo studies demonstrate the biocompatibility of the patch and its ability to double or triple the oxygen level in the wound bed to clinically relevant levels.

Aim:The prevalence of epilepsy is higher in *** study was conducted to analyze the clinical manifestations of neurocysticercosis(NCC)among seizure patients admitted to our ***:We retrospectively studied all the NCC patients admitted to Neurology Department,Bir Hospital,kathmandu,Nepal from April 2012 to February *** tomography/magnetic resonance imaging(CT/MRI)head,clinical profile,lab investigations and exclusion of other causes were the basis of the NCC ***-square and Student’s t-test were used for comparison of ***:Out of 131 seizure patients admitted,21 patients were diagnosed with NCC[mean age:33.95±16.41;male:15(71.4%),female:6(28.6%)].Generalized tonic clonic seizure was the most common seizure type in NCC patients(18 patients;85.7%),two of them had status epilepticus during presentation in Emergency *** patients had focal seizure,one with epilepsia partialis *** showed multiple NCC lesions in 8(38.1%)and a single NCC lesion in 13(61.9%)*** of them(33.3%)sought traditional healers before being presented to our *** patients(38.1%)were treated with antiepileptics in local health-post without neuroimaging studies *** stage of NCC was the most frequent CT/MRI findings(12 patients;57.1%).Phenytoin was preferred both by physicians and patients due to its low ***:NCC is a common finding among seizure patients in *** economic status,illiteracy and underdeveloped rural society are the major challenges in prevention and treatment of NCC.

Tetracyclic tetrahydroprotoberberines（THPB） alkaloids contain an isoquinoline backbone and was endowed with various biological properties such as analgesic,anti-convulsant,anti-depressant and anti-psychotic abilities in the central nervous *** the rapid progress of science,the treatment of infectious diseases still remains a serious problem to the scientific community.A key intermediate containing an aldehyde group at 12-position of tetrahydroprotoberberrubine was developed for future *** aldehyde is easy to be attacked by neucleophilic reagents to access a series of berberrubine modified benzimidazole derivatives that can ameliorate the weakness of *** 1 H-NMR spectra of ±-Tetrahydroprotoberberrubine-12-（4-flurobenzyl-benzimidazole） in DMSO-d6 indicated the appearance of –OH proton（1 singlet at 9.17 ppm）.Two doublet at 7.67,7.58 ppm and one multiplets at 7.28 – 7.22 ppm integrating 1 H,1 H and 2 H respectively for benzimidazole *** triplet at 7.08 ppm,one doublet of doublet at 7.00 ppm and two doublets at 5.40（d,J = 16.3 Hz,1 H）,and 5.24（d,J = 16.2 Hz,1 H）（geminal coupling） integrating 2 H,2 H,1 H,1 H respectively for aromatic benzyl group.
