The kinetics of thedegradation of trace nitrobenzene （NB） by a granular activated carbon （GAC） enhanced microwave （MW）/hydrogen peroxide （H202 ） systemwas studied. Effects of pH, NB initial concentration and tert-butyl alcohol on the removal efficiencywere examined. Itwas found that the reaction rate fitswell to first-order reaction kinetics in the MW/GAC/H202 process. Moreover, GAC greatly enhanced thedegradation rate of NB inwater. Under a given condition （MW power300 W, H202dosage 10 mg/L, pH 6.85 and temperature （60 ± 5）°C）, thedegradation rate of NBwas 0.05214 min 1when4 g/L GACwas added. In general, alkaline pHwas better for NBdegradation; however, the optimum pHwas 8.0 in the tested pH value range of4.0-12.0. At H202dosage of 10 mg/L and GACdosage of4 g/L, the removal of NBwasdecreasedwith increasing initial concentrations of NB, indicating that a low initial concentrationwas beneficial for thedegradation of NB. These results indicated that the MW/GAC/H202 processwas effective for trace NBdegradation inwater. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis indicated that a hydroxyl radical addition reaction anddehydrogenation reaction enhanced NBdegradation.

This study analyses the role played by organizational ambidexterity and open innovation in innovation outputs,considering business units with different levels of technological intensity(medium-high and high tech,and medium-low and low tech)for countries with different inno-vation *** countries considered in this paper are i)Estonia and Slovenia as innovation followers;i)Slovakia,Hungary,Spain,Czech Republic,Italy,Portugal,Norway,and Croatia as moderate innovators;and ii)Bulgaria,Lithuania and Romania as modest *** the empirical approach,the research hypotheses arise from the literature review and are tested using secondary data collected from the Community Innovation Survey(CIS)*** conceptual model is tested using the logistic regression method,which indicates suitable accuracy and reliability for empirical testing *** evidence reveals that for innovation followers,ambidexterity has a greater influence on the practice of eco-innovation,marketing innovation,and product *** moderate innovators,ambidexterity has a greater influence on the practice of product innovation,process innovation,and *** modest in-novators,ambidexterity has a greater influence on the practice of product innovation,process innovation,and *** regard to open innovation,for innovation followers,this has a negative influence on product innovation in medium-high and high-tech *** moderate innovators,open innovation has a greater influence in process,organizational,and *** the case of modest innovators,open innovation is more significant for innovation outputs in product,organizational,and marketing *** is not always positively related to innovation outputs.

The importance of issues associated with urban/commensal rats and mice(property damage,management costs,and health risks)press upon research on these *** the demography of commensal rodents is mostly studied,the need for understanding factors influencing their natural morbidity/mortality is also *** this respect,more attention is expected to be paid to immunity,the physiological mechanism of defense against host survival threats(pathogens,parasites,diseases).Commensal rats and mice carry numerous pathogens that evoke diverse immune *** state of immunity in commensal house mice is studied in great detail,owing to the use of laboratory strains in biomedical *** commensal rats are,compared to mice,carriers of more zoonotic agents,rats’immunity is studied mainly in that *** of these zoonotic agents cause chronic,asymptomatic infections,which justified studies of immunological mechanisms of pathogen tolerance versus clearance regulation in *** of some infections in specific tissues/organs pressed upon analysis of local/regional immune responses and/or immunopathology.A survey of immunological activity/responses in commensal rats is given in this review,with mention of existing data in commensal *** should throw some light on the factors relevant to their morbidity and lifespan,supplementing the knowledge of commensal rodent ecology.

A Comparative Analysis of Contemporary Methods of Final Disposition

This article illustrates the procedural specificities of the following eight contemporary methods of final disposition: (1) Natural Organic Reduction, (2) Alkaline Hydrolysis, (3) Plastination, (4) Body Farm, (5) Cryonics, (6) Memorial Reefs, (7) Organic Burial Pods, and (8) Space Funeral. After comparing the differences in the duration of body-processing time of all eight methods, Alkaline Hydrolysis was determined to take the shortest length of time to complete (6 - 8 hours), while Plastination was deemed to take the longest length of time to complete (1 year). Additionally, with regard to comparing the differences in cost to the consumer, Plastination and Body Farm were both deemed to be of the lowest cost ($0/body donation only), while Cryonics was deemed to be the most expensive ($200,000+ due to ongoing subfreezing storage and maintenance fees). Finally, after comparing the differences in each state’s set of sanctioned methods of final disposition, it was established that the seventeen states that restrict their residents’ options the most, permitting only two out of the eight contemporary options, include Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Wisconsin, and that the two states that restrict their residents the least, permitting six out of the eight contemporary options include California and Florida.

The risk of peritonitis complications in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis(CAPD)can be prevented or reduced by providing proper education and continuous *** and telemonitoring are methods that enable remote monitoring and patient *** study aimed to determine the success and factors affecting telemonitoring in CAPD patient *** study is a scoping review(ScR)using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses-ScR *** searches were carried out on ProQuest,PubMed,and ScienceDirect with a time range of *** extraction was performed regarding knowledge level,quality of life,clinical outcomes(peritonitis),and risk of *** the 12 articles and studies included,6 articles were related to the effect of telemonitoring on CAPD patient outcomes,and 6 articles were associated with the effect of education on CAPD patient *** provided to patients can improve patient understanding of therapeutic modalities for renal disorders,reduce the potential for peritonitis and dialysis complications,and improve the quality of life of patients with *** patients who received telemonitoring had a better quality of life,good clinical outcomes,and a lower risk of hospitalization than those who did not receive telemonitoring and had fewer health-care *** summary,the implementation of telemonitoring and education in chronic kidney disease patients with CAPD modality therapy has been proven effective in improving quality of life and reducing dialysis-related risks.

The undesirable dendrite growth induced by non-planar zinc(Zn)deposition and low Coulombic efficiency resulting from severe side reactions have been long-standing challenges for metallic Zn anodes and substantially impede the practical application of rechargeable aqueous Zn metal batteries(ZMBs).Herein,we present a strategy for achieving a high-rate and long-cycle-life Zn metal anode by patterning Zn foil surfaces and endowing a Zn-Indium(Zn-In)interface in the *** accumulation of electrons in the microchannel and the zincophilicity of the Zn-In interface promote preferential heteroepitaxial Zn deposition in the microchannel region and enhance the tolerance of the electrode at high current ***,electron aggregation accelerates the dissolution of non-(002)plane Zn atoms on the array surface,thereby directing the subsequent homoepitaxial Zn deposition on the array ***,the planar dendrite-free Zn deposition and long-term cycling stability are achieved(5,050 h at 10.0 mA cm^(−2) and 27,000 cycles at 20.0 mA cm^(−2)).Furthermore,a Zn/I_(2) full cell assembled by pairing with such an anode can maintain good stability for 3,500 cycles at 5.0 C,demonstrating the application potential of the as-prepared ZnIn anode for high-performance aqueous ZMBs.

The pace of society development is faster than ever before,and the smart city paradigm has also emerged,which aims to enable citizens to live in more sustainable cities that guarantee well-being and a comfortable living *** has been done by a network of new technologies hosted in real time to track the activities and provide smart solutions for the incoming requests or problems of the *** of the most often used methodologies for creating a smart city is the Internet of Things(loT).Therefore,the IoT-enabled smart city research topic,which consists of many different domains such as transportation,healthcare,and agriculture,has recently attracted increasing attention in the research ***,advances in artificial intelligence(Al)significantly contribute to the growth of *** this paper,we first present the smart city concept,the background of smart city development and the components of the IoT-based smart *** is followed up by a literature review of the research literature on the most recent IoT-enabled smart cities developments and breakthroughs empowered by AI techniques to highlight the current stage,major trends and unsolved challenges of adopting Al-driven IoT technologies for the establishment of desirable smart ***,we summarize the paper with a discussion of future research to provide recommendations for research direction in the smart city domain.

Recent methodological advances in quantitative wood anatomy have provided new insights into the climatic responses of radial growth at the scale of cell structure of tree rings. This study considered long-term chronologies of tracheid measurements, indexed by a novel approach to separate their specific climatic responses from signal recorded in cell production(closely reflected in tree-ring width). To fill gaps in understanding the impact of climate on conifer xylem structure, Scots pine(Pinus sylvestris L.)trees > 200 years old were selected within the forest-steppe zone in southern Siberia. Such habitats undergo mild moisture deficits and the resulting climatic regulation of growth processes. Mean and maximum values of cell radial diameter and cell wall thickness were recorded for each tree *** a low level of climatogenic stress, components of cell chronologies independent of cambial activity were separated to obtain significant climatic signals revealing the timing of the specific stages of tracheid differentiation. Cell expansion lasted from mid-April to July and was impacted similarly to tree-ring width(stimulated by precipitation and stressed by heat), maximum cell size formed late June. A switch in the climatic responses of mean anatomical traits indicated transition to latewood in mid-July. Secondary wall deposition lasted until mid-September, suppressed by end of season temperatures. Generally, anatomical climatic responses were modulated by a less dry May and September compared with summer months.

随着我国学校课程改革的深度推进,学科教育论课程的重构正在成为基础教育现代化发展的一个重要的研究议题。基于对历史的尊重和对未来的观照,探索主体教育视域下学科教育论课程建设及其教学实践范式的构建,是推进我国高品质教育实施的重要内容。从时代转型分析和把握学科教育论在推进国家教育现代化发展中承担的责任,可以重新解读改革开放以来我国学科教育论课程发展的历史演进逻辑,揭示中国学科教育论课程体系基于主体教育视域实现研究转型的生成发展过程。通过全面梳理我国基础教育教学改革实践经验,沉淀出学科教育论课程实践中有待进一步完善的要素结构及其运作范式,继而通过学科教育论课程的重构,彰显主体教育视野下学科教育论的中国特色和当代形态。
