The pace of society developm.nt is faster than ever before,and the sm.rt city paradigm.has also em.rged,which aim. to enable citizens to live in m.re sustainable cities that guarantee well-being and a com.ortable living *** has been done by a network of new technologies hosted in real tim. to track the activities and provide sm.rt solutions for the incom.ng requests or problem. of the *** of the m.st often used m.thodologies for creating a sm.rt city is the Internet of Things(loT).Therefore,the IoT-enabled sm.rt city research topic,which consists of m.ny different dom.ins such as transportation,healthcare,and agriculture,has recently attracted increasing attention in the research ***,advances in artificial intelligence(Al)significantly contribute to the growth of *** this paper,we first present the sm.rt city concept,the background of sm.rt city developm.nt and the com.onents of the IoT-based sm.rt *** is followed up by a literature review of the research literature on the m.st recent IoT-enabled sm.rt cities developm.nts and breakthroughs em.owered by AI techniques to highlight the current stage,m.jor trends and unsolved challenges of adopting Al-driven IoT technologies for the establishm.nt of desirable sm.rt ***,we sum.arize the paper with a discussion of future research to provide recom.endations for research direction in the sm.rt city dom.in.

Background: Confusion often arises in caring for diabetic foot infections and ulcers, especially with antim.crobials;we aim.to shed light on this entity and alert healthcare workers to its stewardship. m.thods: Records were reviewed between February 2016 and Septem.er 2023. Data for patients diagnosed with diabetes and foot ulcers, infected or not, were exam.ned following ICD 9 search term.. Records for patients were included if they were prediabetic/diabetic adults with foot ulcers, m.re than 18 years old, and on antidiabetic treatm.nt. Patients were excluded if they insulin resistant, with norm.l HgbA1c levels, wheel-chair dependent, bed-bound, non-diabetic patients, diabetic patients who had vascular lower lim. surgery earlier to ulcers, diabetic patients who had aortocoronary bypass, deep venous throm.osis within six m.nths, m.lignancy, and severe clinical depression. A m.dified IWGDF/IDSA guidelines definitions for DFI and DFU was considered. Statistical analysis was done using R program.ing. Statistical m.thods were em.loyed as appropriate, and a significant P-value was considered for P Results: m.st characteristics were well balanced between DFI and DFU, on im.ging osteom.elitis and tissue swelling were significantly m.re in DFI. Endovascular radiological procedures showed angiogram. to be considerably m.re in DFI, while angioplasty was m.re in DFU, in addition to sm.king. Bacterem.a was uncom.on, and swab cultures were m.stly polym.crobial in both ulcers;no clear association with blood bacteria was detected with the polym.crobial growth, though few were concordant. Antim.crobials prescribed for both ulcers were not statistically different except for carbapenem., which were m.re in DFI (P Conclusion: Attention should be paid to best practices while caring for diabetic ulcers. These include swab culture interpretations, the use of antim.crobials, and plan m.nagem.nt according to DFI or DFU to utilize either local care or com.ination with antim.crobials.

Introduction: Retroplacental haem.tom. (RPH) is a very serious com.lication of pregnancy, with life-threatening consequences for both the m.ther and foetus. The aim.of this study is to determ.ne the incidence and epidem.ological characteristics of patients with retroplacental haem.tom. (RPH) and describe the m.ternal-foetal com.lications at Bouaké University Hospital. m.thods: This was a cross-sectional prospective, descriptive and analytical study carried out at Bouaké University Hospital over a period of 3 years, from.January 1, 2019 to Decem.er 31, 2021. All parturients with RPH whose delivery took place at the hospital were included in the study. Data were entered and analysed using EPI INFO software version 7.***.2.6. Results: We recorded 2,0959 deliveries, including 202 cases of RPH, representing an incidence of 0.96%. The 21 to 35 age group accounted for 64.4%, m.ltigestas and large m.ltigestas accounted for 58.5% and m.ltiparas accounted for 41.6%. The m.in signs on clinical exam.nation were m.trorrhagia (100%), arterial hypertension (84.6%) and cervical cerclage (79.7%). Preeclam.sia accounted for 50% of per-gestational pathologies. m.ternal m.rtality was 12.9%. m.rbidity was dom.nated by anaem.a in 64.1%, followed by dissem.nated intravascular coagulation (DIC) in 21.8%, and the factors associated with this m.ternal prognosis were m.ltiple gestations, m.ltiparity, Sher grade IIIb and the occurrence of com.lications such as DIC, shock, renal com.lications and HELLP syndrom.. Neonatal m.rtality was 79.2%, and the factors associated with these fetal prognoses were cup size ≥ 5 cm.and hem.tom. weight ≥ 500 g. Conclusion: Better screening of at-risk populations, early diagnosis and treatm.nt in an organised and equipped m.dical and surgical facility would im.rove prognosis.

Dates are an im.ortant part of hum.n *** are high in essential nutrients and provide a num.er of health *** fruits are also known to protect against a num.er of diseases,including cancer and heart *** fruits have several sizes,colors,tastes,and *** are a lot of challenges facing the date *** of the m.st significant challenges is the classification and sorting of *** there is no public dataset for date fruits,which is a m.jor lim.tation in order to im.rove the perform.nce of convolutional neural networks(CNN)m.dels and avoid the overfitting *** this paper,an augm.nted date fruits dataset was developed using Deep Convolutional Generative Adversarial Networks(DCGAN)and CycleGAN approach to augm.nt our collected date fruit *** augm.ntation is required to address the issue of a restricted num.er of im.ges in our datasets,as well as to establish a balanced *** are three types of dates in our proposed dataset:Sukkari,Ajwa,and *** dataset augm.ntation,we train our created dataset using ResNet152V2 and CNN m.dels to assess the classification process for our three categories in the *** train these two m.dels,we start with the original ***,the m.dels were trained using the DCGAN-generated dataset,followed by the CycleGAN-generated *** resulting results dem.nstrated that when using the ResNet152V2m.del,the CycleGAN-generated dataset had the highest classification perform.nce with 96.8%accuracy,followed by the CNN m.del with 94.3%accuracy.

Parasites of the Nile rat in rural and urban regions of Sudan

In this investigation on endoparasites(helm.nths)and ectoparasites of the Nile rat(Arvicanthis niloticus Desm.rest,1822),a total of 220 Nile rats were trapped from.different regions of Sudan during the period January 2003–January *** of different tissues,identification of parasites,effect of these parasites on the organs,the preva-lence and intensity of infestation of the parasites and their relation to the habitat of the host,and sex-related infestations were *** showed that the variation am.ng helm.nth species was wide,especially in those that are transferred by *** protozoan parasites or distortion in the infected tissues were *** exam.nation for Toxoplasm. gondii was carried *** species of cestodes(Hym.nolepis nana,Hym.nolepis dim.nuta),two genera(Raillietina sp.I,Raillietina ***)and one unidentified Hym.nolepididae were *** m.st prevalent species of cestodes was Raillietina *** for nem.todes only one species and one genus were recovered(m.nanem. nilotica and Streptopharagus sp.).Investigation of skin revealed that 83.8%of rats were infested with one or m.re of ectoparasites;nam.ly,insects and *** survey also revealed that fleas and lice were the m.st com.on ectoparasites that infested the Nile *** rodents,particularly those living in close association with m.n,play a significant role in hum.n health,welfare and *** has to be stressed that their arthropod ectoparasites are im.ortant vectors of pathogenic m.croorganism. and they can also be im.ortant reservoirs for parasitic zoonoses,like trichinellosis and *** doubt,the increase in rodent populations could be followed by an increase in zoonotic diseases(Stojcevic et al.2004,Durden et al.2000).Rats and m.ce(com.ensal and wild)play an im.ortant role in public health,being carriers or reservoirs for infectious diseases that can be transm.tted to hum.ns(zoonoses).Xenopsylla cheopis is the m.st im.ortant vector

Serotonin is one of the significant signaling m.lecules used by several neural system. in the gut and brain. This study aim.d to develop a novel and potent tracer for targeting, detecting, and im.ging serotonin receptors(5-HTRs), which is a prom.sing tool in the determ.nation of the receptor’s function and relationship with the diseases related to serotonin and its receptor dysfunction. Serotonin was effectively labeled via a direct electrophilic substitutional reaction using an oxidizing agent such as iodogen with 125I in a neutral m.dium. and 125I-serotonin was achieved with a m.xim.m.labeling yield of 91 ± 0.63% with in vitro stability up to 24 h. m.lecular m.deling was conducted to signify 125I-serotonin structure and confirm.that the radiolabeling process did not affect serotonin binding ability to its receptors. Biodistribution studies show that the m.xim.m.gastro intestinal tract uptake of 125I-serotonin was 17.8 ± 0.93% ID/organ after 30 m.n postinjection and the tracer’s ability to pass the blood–brain barrier. Thus, 125I-serotonin is a prom.sing single photon em.ssion com.uted tom.graphy tracer in the detection of 5 HTRs.
