Technological advancements are strongly required to fulfill the demands of new accelerator devices with the highest accelerating gradients and operation reliability for the future colliders. To this purpose an extensive R^zD regarding molybdenum coatings on copper is in progress. In this contribution we describe chemical composition, deposition quality and resistivity properties of different molybdenum coatings obtained via sputtering. The deposited films are thick metallic disorder layers with different resistivity values above and below the molibdenum dioxide reference value. chemical and electrical properties of these sputtered coatings have been characterized by Rutherford backscattering, XANES and photoemission spectroscopy. We will also consider multiple cells standing wave section coated by a molybdenum layer designed to improve the performance of X-Band accelerating systems.

diamonds commonly occur in kimberlites, lamproites and relative alluvial sediments. Some examples of diamonds discovered in ultramafics have heen reported. Sobolev and Shatsky reported diamonds from high-pressure metamorphic rock from northern Kazakhstan and considered it to be the source of the alluvial diamonds in Pridneprovie region of western U. S. S. R. diamonds reported here show some similarity to those in northern Kazakhstan, and are the second occurrence in the world, but the first one in china.

In situ high pressure energy dispersive X-ray diffraction measurements on layered perovskite-like manganate ca3Mn2O7 under pressures up to 35 GPa have been Performed by using diamond anvil cell with synchrotron *** results show that the structure of layered perovskite-like manganate ca3Mn2O7 is unstable under pressure due to the easy compression of Nacl-type *** structure of ca3Mn2O7 underwent two phase transitions under pressures in the range of *** was at about 1.3GPa with the crystal structure changing from tetragonalt go *** other was at about 9.5GPa with the crystal structure changing form orthorhombic back to another tetragonal.

＜正＞A Microlens array is a critical component for optimizing display functions. With the increasing usage of display systems in photonic products nowadays, more attention is being paid to the research and development of fabrication technology for microlens arrays. Ultra-precision machining with a fast tool servo （FTS） is one of the leading methodologies for fabrication of high-quality optical microstructural surfaces. FTS is an independently operated positioning device, which provides an indispensable solution for machining optical microstructures with sub-micrometer form accuracy and nanometric surface finish, without the need for any subsequent post processing. The surface quality of an FTS machined surface depends largely on the selection of cutting conditions. However, the achievement of ultra-precision surface finishing depends greatly on the experience and skill of the machine operators. Determination of optimal cutting conditions can stabilize the quality of the fabricated microlens array. In this paper, the effect of cutting conditions such as depth of cut, feed rate, spindle speed and surface speed are investigated;and optimal surface roughness and surface profiles in ultra-precision machining with FTS can be observed.

An Investigation into the Adhesion Strength of diamond Like carbon Multilayer coating (DLc/TiN/Ti/cu/Ni)

Advancement in vacuum technologies and vapor deposition processes during last decades has led to the introduction of many modern coatings on metal cutting tools. Even in such an advanced vacuum coating techniques, the failure is not due to the wear of the coating but rather due to the lack of coating adhesion to the substrate. In this work, the coating adhesion test results were performed which is based on the Rockwell indentation tests. This coating adhesion tests were performed as per VDI standards 3198, 1991 for d.c. magnetron sputter deposition of diamond like carbon multilayer coating (DLc / TiN/ Ti / cu / Ni) on tool substrate. Multilayer coating was deposited on tool substrates at different sputtering parameters/conditions such as power density, partial pressure, substrate temperature and reactive gases. The coated multilayer films were characterized by experimental techniques such as X-ray diffractometer which measures the material deposited, micro Raman spectroscopy and TEM to check DLc, Rockwell indentation to examine adhesion strength, optical profilometer to measure thickness of coating. Ni increases the cu adhesion on tool substrate. cu accommodates the shear stress induced by the films / substrate and the mismatch in thermal expansion coefficient, while Ti and TiN promote better DLc bonding. As the target power was increased the adhesion strength, micro hardness and deposition rate were observed to improve. Increase in target power and substrate temperature enhances adhesion strength. Proper substrate preparation and sequence of cleaning processes are the crucial factors for the enhancement of adhesion strength. The sputter deposition conditions for the above mentioned multilayer coatings are identified in this work to get improved quality with particular reference to adhesion and surface finish.

Polycrystalline diamond mini-cubes for sawing applications

diamond grits are indispensable for sawing granite or *** year about 1 000 tons of diamond grits are consumed for such *** all cases,mono crystalline diamond is ***, polycrystalline grits(polygrits) are generally better performed than mono grits as *** example,poly grits of cubic boron nitride(***(?) cBN-550 of diamond Innovations) can cut faster and they last longer than mono grits(***(?) cBN-500). Polygrits of alumina(***(?) of 3M) also out perform by far glassy grits(*** alumina).For diamond superabrasives,micron polygrits formed by shock waves may polish as fast as mono grits of the same size,but without causing as much scratches due to the presence of smaller sintered *** improved performance of poly grits is attributed to their ability to micro chipping that renews the sharp cutting corners from time to *** contrast,mono grits tend to round off at low cutting force or macro fracture at high cutting force,so they may lose the cutting ability rapidly. For sawing granite with mesh sizes 40/50 or coarser,poly grits of diamond have not been available until *** this research,we have made polygrits in mini cube with sizes of 18/20,20/25,and 30/*** grinders and wire saws were made by brazing both mono grits and polygrits on steel *** performance on granite demonstrated that grinding speed was faster with turbo grinder,and the surface finish was smoother with wire saw for poly grits than mono ones. Polygrits and mono grits of diamond were mixed for comparison(upper left).Polygrits of mini cubes were brazed on the pearl of a wire saw(upper right).Mono diamond grits were brazed on a turbo grinder(bottom diagrams ).

The fabrication of ideal diamond disk(IDD)by casting diamond film on silicon wafer

With the relentless densification of interconnected circuitry dictated by Moore’ s Law,the cMP manufacture of such delicate wafers requires the significant reduction of polishing pressure of integrated circuits,not only globally,but also locally on every tip of the pad *** diamond disks used for dressing the polyurethane pads cannot produce asperities to achieve such uniformity.A new design of diamond disk was fabricated by casting diamond film on a silicon wafer that contains patterned etching pits. This silicon mold was subsequently removed by dissolution in a hydroxide *** diamond film followed the profile of the etching pits on silicon to form pyramids of identical in size and *** variation of their tip heights was in microns of single digit that was about one order of magnitude smaller than conventional diamond disks for cMP ***,the diamond film contained no metal that might contaminate the circuits on polished wafer during a cMP *** continuous diamond film could resist any corrosive attack by slurry of acid or ***,in-situ dressing during cMP is possible that may improve wafer uniformity and production *** ideal diamond disk(IDD) is designed for the future manufacture of advanced semiconductor chips with node sizes of 32 nm or smaller.
