Objective To discuss the diagnosis and management of different kinds of hypophysitis, such as Lymphocytic,granulomatous and xanthomatous *** with retrospective study, we summarize 2 cases of granulomatous hypophysitis,3 cases of Lymphocytic hypophysitis,and 1 case of xanthomatous *** mean age was 43.5 years old,and the mean history was 6.3 *** clinical signs were headache,fever,gradual decrease of visual acuity and *** magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) scan showed sellar lesion with homo- or hypodense signal and an enlargement of pituitary *** we took transsphenoid surgery on 6 cases,but we only do a biopsy to identify hypophysitis with fast-frozen pathology,when we found tissues did not reveal some characteristics of pituitary *** than all cases were given therapy with glucocorticoid,and had good *** The diagnosis of hypopysitis was difficult with no obvious clinical *** transsphenoid biopsy can identify diagnosis combined with fast-frozen *** glucocorticoid therapy should be first choice,while total removal of masses can cause to a functional disability of pituitary.

The emergence of SARS-Co V-2 variant of concern omicron BA.2 led to high infection incidence rates as well as reduced severity of COVID-19 during the Shanghai Spring epidemic of 2022 [1].
