Accurate diagnosis of severe coronary stenosis based on resting magnetocardiography: a prospective, single-center, cross-sectional analysis

OBJECTIVE To evalu ate the role of resting magnetocardiography in identifying seve re coronary artery stenosis in patients with suspected coronary artery *** A total of 513 patients with angina symptoms were included and divided into two groups based on the extent of coronary artery disease determined by angiography:the non-severe coronary stenusis group(dually or in combination with clinical *** performance of the models was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic curves,accuracy,sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value(PPV) and ne gative predictive value(NPV).Calibration plots and decision curve analysis were performed to investigate the clinical utility and performance of the models,*** In the severe coronary stenosis group,QR_MCTDd,S_MDp,and TT_(MA)C_(50) were significantly higher than those in the non-severe coronary stenosis group(10,46±10.66 vs,5.11±6.07,P 2.8.64 vs.4.68±6.95,P=0.003;0.32.57.2. vs.0.2.±57.2.,P 2.±0.16 vs.0.2.±0.16,P2.±53.01,P2.vs. 60.45±51.33,P 2.8 %,and 73.5%;*** combined model exhibited an area under the curve of 0.845(95% CI:0.798-0.892..The sensitivity,specificity,PPV,NPV,and accuracy were 84.3%,73.8%,92.6%,54.6%,and 82.1%;*** curves demonstrate d excellent agreement between the nomogram prediction and actual *** decision curve analysis showed that the c ombine d model provided greater net benefit compared to the magnetocardingraphy model.C

Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the epidemiology of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to COVID-19 in ***:This study was conducted by 45 tertiary Grade-A hospitals in *** and offline questionnaire data were obtained from patients infected with COVID-19 between December 2.,2.2.,and February 2.,*** collected information included basic demographics,medical history,smoking and drinking history,vaccination history,changes in olfactory and gustatory functions before and after infection,and other postinfection symptoms,as well as the duration and improvement status of olfactory and gustatory ***:Complete questionnaires were obtained from 35,566 *** overall incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunction was 67.75%.Being female or being a cigarette smoker increased the likelihood of developing olfactory and taste *** received four doses of the vaccine or having good oral health or being a alcohol drinker decreased the risk of such *** infection,the average olfactory and taste VAS scores were 8.41 and 8.51,respectively;after infection,they decreased to 3.69 and 4.2. and recovered to 5.83 and 6.55 by the time of the *** median duration of dysosmia and dysgeusia was 15 and 12.days,respectively,with 0.5%of patients having symptoms lasting for more than 2. *** overall self-reported improvement rate was 59.16%.Recovery was higher in males,never smokers,those who received two or three vaccine doses,and those that had never experienced dental health issues,or chronic accompanying ***:The incidence of dysosmia and dysgeusia following infection with the SARS-CoV-2.virus is high in *** and prognosis are influenced by several factors,including sex,SARS-CoV-2.vaccination,history of head-facial trauma,nasal and oral health status,smoking and drinking history,and the persistence of accompanying symptoms.

The Circular Electron Positron Collider(CEPC)is a large scientific project initiated and hosted by China,fostered through extensive collaboration with international *** complex comprises four accelerators:a 30 GeV linac,a 1.1 GeV Damping Ring,a Booster capable of achieving energies up to 180 GeV,and a Collider operating at varying energy modes(Z,W,H,and tt).The linac and Damping Ring are situated on the surface,while the subterranean Booster and Collider are housed in a 100 km circumference underground tunnel,strategically accommodating future expansion with provisions for a potential Super Proton Proton Collider(SPPC).The CEPC primarily serves as a Higgs *** its baseline design with synchrotron radiation(SR)power of 30 MW per beam,it can achieve a luminosity of 5×10^(34)cm^(-2.s^(-1)per interaction point(IP),resulting in an integrated luminosity of 13 ab^(-1)for two IPs over a decade,producing 2.6 million Higgs *** the SR power to 50 MW per beam expands the CEPC's capability to generate 4.3 million Higgs bosons,facilitating precise measurements of Higgs coupling at sub-percent levels,exceeding the precision expected from the HL-LHC by an order of *** Technical Design Report(TDR)follows the Preliminary Conceptual Design Report(Pre-CDR,2.15)and the Conceptual Design Report(CDR,2.18),comprehensively detailing the machine's layout,performance metrics,physical design and analysis,technical systems design,R&D and prototyping efforts,and associated civil engineering ***,it includes a cost estimate and a preliminary construction timeline,establishing a framework for forthcoming engineering design phase and site selection *** is anticipated to begin around 2.2.-2.2.,pending government approval,with an estimated duration of 8 *** commencement of experiments and data collection could potentially be initiated in the mid-2.30s.

Role of arachidonic acid in hyposmotic membrane stretch-induced increase in calcium-activated potassium currents in gastric myocytes

Aim: To study effects of arachidonic acid （AA） and its metabolites on the hyposmotic membrane stretch-induced increase in calcium-activated potassium currents (IKCa) in gastric myocytes. Methods: Membrane currents were recorded by using a conventional whole cell patch-clamp technique in gastric myocytes isolated with collagenase. Results: Hyposmotic membrane stretch and AA increased both IK（Ca）and spontaneous transient outward currents significantly. Exogenous AA could potentiate the hyposmotic membrane stretch-induced increase in IK（Ca）The hyposmotic membrane stretch-induced increase inK（Ca）was significantly suppressed by dimethyleicosadienoic acid （100 μmol/L in pipette solution）, an inhibitor of phospholipase A2. Nordihydroguaiaretic acid, a lipoxygenase inhibitor, significantly suppressed AA and hyposmotic membrane stretch-induced increases in IK（Ca）. External calcium-free or gadolinium chloride, a blocker of stretch-activated channels, blocked the AA-induced increase in IK（Ca）significantly, but it was not blocked by nicardipine, an L-type calcium channel blocker. Ryanodine, a calcium-induced calcium release agonist, completely blocked the AA-induced increase inK（Ca）; however, heparin, a potent inhibitor of inositol triphosphate receptor, did not block the AA-induced increase in IK（Ca）. Conclusion: Hyposmotic membrane stretch may activate phospholipase A2. which hydrolyzes membrane phospholipids to ultimately produce AA; AA as a second messenger mediates Ca2.influx, which triggers Ca2.-induced Ca2.release and elicits activation of IK（Ca）in gastric antral circular myocytes of the guinea pig.

Aims:Surveys and research on the applications of the hepatic venous pressure gradient(HVPG)are important for understanding the current status and future development of this technology in *** article aimed to investigate the status of hepatic venous pressure gradient measurement in China in ***:We investigated the overall status of HVPG technology in China-including hospital distribution,hospital level,annual number of cases,catheters used,average cost,indications,and current challenges by using online *** counting the number and percentages of cases of these results,we hope to clarify the current status of HVPG measurements in ***:According to the survey,85 hospitals in China used HVPG technology in 2.2. distributed across 2. provinces.A total of 4989 HVPG measurements were performed in all of the surveyed hospitals in 2.2.,of which 2.13 cases(56.4%)were measured *** average cost of HVPG measurement was 5646.8±2.2..9 *** the clinical teams who performed the measurements(sometimes multiple per hospital),94.3%(82.87)used the balloon method,and the majority of the teams(72.4%,63/87)used embolectomy ***:This survey clarified the clinical application status of HVPG in China and confirmed that some medical institutions in China have established a foundation for this *** is still necessary to continue promoting and popularizing this technology in the future.

Background:There is no consensus on whether triplet regimen is better than doublet regimen in the first-line treatment of advanced gastric cancer(AGC).We aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of oxaliplatin plus capecitabine(XELOX)and epirubicin,oxaliplatin,plus capecitabine(EOX)regimens in treating ***:This phase III trial enrolled previously untreated patients with AGC whowere randomly assigned to receive the XELOXor *** primary endpoint was non-inferiority in progression-free survival(PFS)for XELOX as compared with EOX on an intention-to-treat ***:Between April 10,2.15 andAugust 2.,2.2.,448AGCpatientswere randomized to receive XELOX(n=2.2.or EOX(n=2.6).The median PFS(mPFS)was 5.0 months(95%confidence interval[CI]=4.5-6.0 months)in the XELOX arm and 5.5 months(95%CI=5.0-6.0 months)in the EOX arm(hazard ratio[HR]=0.989,95%CI=0.812.1.2.3;P_(non-inferiority)=0.003).There was no significant difference inmedian overall survival(mOS)(12.0 vs.12.0months,P=0.384)or objective response rate(37.4%vs.45.1%,P=0.2.1)between the two *** patients with poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma and liver metastasis,the EOX arm had a significantly longer mOS(P=0.02.)and a trend of longer mPFS(P=0.073)than the XELOX *** rate of grade 3/4 adverse events(AEs)was 42.2.(90/2.3)in the XELOX arm and 72.5%(156/2.5)in the EOX arm(P=0.001).The global health-related quality of life(QoL)score was significantly higher in the XELOX arm than in the EOX arm during ***:This non-inferiority trial demonstrated that the doublet regimen was as effective as the triplet regimen and had a better safety profile and QoL as a first-line treatment for AGC ***,the triplet regimen might have a survival advantage in patients with poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma and liver metastasis.

Effects of patients'understanding and choice of surgical types on postoperative outcomes of Peyronie’s disease:a single-center retrospective study of 108 patients

Surgical correction can be considered for treating patients with a chronic phase of Peyronie’s disease(PD)and persistent penile *** clinical practice,some patients pay too much attention to surgical complications and refuse the recommended feasible surgical ***,they require operations according to their *** study aimed to evaluate the effects of patients’own choice of surgical type on postoperative *** retrospective study analyzed data from 108 patients with PD who underwent surgical correction according to doctors’recommendations or patients’own *** objective and subjective surgical outcomes were ***1 understanding of the disease was analyzed using a questionnaire *** measurements of surgical outcomes,including penile straightening,penile length,and sexual function,in patients who received the recommended surgery,were similar to those in patients who did not accept the recommended ***,subjective evaluations,including erectile pain,discomfort because of nodules on the penis,and decreased sensitivity in the penis,were more obvious in patients who did not follow doctors’*** addition,a questionnaire survey showed that understanding PD and the purpose of surgery of patients who did not follow doctors’advice were inappropriate,as they did not conform to the principle of *** present study showed that surgical correction seemed to be an objectively effective option in the management of patients in the stable chronic phase of *** patient satisfaction might be related to patients’lack of correct understanding of the disease and its treatment strategy as well as unrealistic expectations.
