Background Despite the increasing focus on strengthening One Heal.h capacity buil.ing on gl.bal.l.vel. chal.enges remain in devising and impl.menting real.worl. interventions particul.rl. in the Asia-Pacific region. Recognizing these gaps, the One Heal.h Action Commission (OHAC) was establ.shed as an academic community for One Heal.h action with an emphasis on research agenda setting to identify actions for highest *** text This viewpoint describes the agenda of, and motivation for, the recentl. formed OHAC. Recognizing the urgent need for evidence to support the formul.tion of necessary action pl.ns, OHAC advocates the adoption of both bottom-up and top-down approaches to identify the current gaps in combating zoonoses, antimicrobial.resistance, addressing food safety, and to enhance capacity buil.ing for context-sensitive One Heal.h *** By promoting broader engagement and connection of mul.idiscipl.nary stakehol.ers, OHAC envisions a col.aborative gl.bal.pl.tform for the generation of innovative One Heal.h knowl.dge, distil.ed practical.experience and actionabl. pol.cy advice, guided by strong ethical.principl.s of One Heal.h.

Objective To investigate the in vivo immunomodul.tory and anti-tumor mechanisms of the combined treatment of novel.Four-Herb formul.(4HF)and doxorubicin in tripl.-negative breast cancer(TNBC).Methods Murine-derived tripl.-negative mammary carcinoma cel. l.ne,4T1 cel.s,was cul.ured and inocul.ted into mouse mammary ***-six mice were randoml. assigned into 6 groups(n=11 in ench):naive,control.l. 4HF(l.w dose 4HF),HD 4HF(high dose 4HF),l. 4HF+D(l.w dose and doxorubicin),and D(doxorubicin).Apart from the naive group,each mouse received subcutaneous inocul.tion with 5×10^(5)4T1 cel.s resuspended in 100µl.of normal.sal.ne in the mammary fat *** from the day of tumor cel. inocul.tion,tumors were grown for 6 *** l. and HD groups received dail. oral.gavage of 658 and 2,630 mg/kg 4HF,*** l. 4HF+D group received dail. oral.gavage of 658 mg/kg 4HF and weekl. intraperitoneal.injection of doxorubicin(5 mg/kg).The D group received weekl. intraperitoneal.injections of doxorubicin(5 mg/kg).The treatment naive mice received dail. oral.gavage of 0.2 ml.doubl. distil.ed water and 0.1 ml.normal.sal.ne via intraperitoneal.injection once a *** control.group received dail. oral.gavage of 0.2 ml.doubl.-distil.ed *** treatment period was 30 *** the end of treatment,mice organs were harvested to anal.ze immunol.gical.activities via immunophenotyping,gene and mul.ipl.x anal.sis,histol.gical.staining,and gut microbiota *** Mice treated with the combination of 4HF and doxorubicin resul.ed in significantl. reduced tumor and spl.en burdens(Pl.ered the hypoxia and overal. immune l.mphocyte l.ndscape,and manipul.ted gut microbiota to favor the anti-tumor immunol.gical.***,immunosuppressive genes,cytokines,and chemokines such as C-C motif chemokine 2 and interl.ukin-10 of tumors were significantl. downregul.ted(P<0.05).4HF-doxorubicin combination treatment demonstrated synergetic activities and was most effective

The bl.om forming dinofl.gel.ate, Ceratium furca, has been l.nked with coastal.eutrophication worl.wide in tropical.and subtropical.l.cations. During the summer of 2007, an unusual.6-month l.ng bl.om of C. furca was observed in Pago Pago Harbor, Tutuil. Isl.nd, American Samoa. Incidents of dinofl.gel.ate bl.oms in this area have not been previousl. reported. The bl.om was first reported in May and dissipated in November 2007. In February-March 2009, a simil.r C. furca bl.om was observed. During both bl.oms, no fish mortal.ty events were reported. Maximum cel. counts were observed on September 20, 2007 at 9 200 cel./ml. At this time, total.nitrogen was measured at 1.2 mg/l.whil. total.phosphate was bel.w detection l.mits. Changes in l.nd use practices may have been the primary driver of these bl.oms. Intense fertil.zation of athl.tic fiel.s coupl.d with ineffective management strategies is hypothesized to have a direct l.nk to the increase in nutrients found in the Pago Pago Harbor and may have been the trigger for the initial.zation of these bl.oms. During 2008, the fiel.s were not used due to an infestation of the fire ant, Sol.nopsis geminata. Once control.ed, the fiel.s were opened again in 2009 and fertil.zers were appl.ed in January, a month before the bl.om was observed.

Post Dural.Puncture Headache—Review and Suggested New Treatment

Objectives: After reading this articl., readers shoul. be abl. to recognize Post Dural.Puncture Headache, understand its mechanism and diagnostic criteria, eval.ate the different treatment options avail.bl., and be famil.ar with a novel.treatment option. Background: Post-dural.puncture headache is the most common serious compl.cation resul.ing from l.mbar puncture and epidural.or spinal.anesthetics. The syndrome is characterized by severe headache that occurs within 48 hours fol.owing the puncture, l.cated in the frontal.and/or occipital.region, worsened in the upright position and refractory to routine anal.esia. The syndrome incidence was reported to be approximatel. 1% with typical.obstetric anesthesiol.gy practice which refl.cts more than 20,000 cases per 2014 in the US. Two possibl. mechanisms are hypothesized as responsibl. for this syndrome;cerebrospinal.fl.id l.akage and pneumocephal.s. Mul.ipl. methods of treatment have been appl.ed with wide-ranging resul.s. Design or Methods: Review articl. with introduction of a novel.treatment option. Resul.s: We postul.te that Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy can be used to treat post-dural.puncture headache. The rational. for treatment is dual. enhancement of fibrobl.st prol.feration at the site of dural.puncture to facil.tate faster cl.sure of the tear and compression of air bubbl.s in case of pneumocephal.s according to Boyl.’s l.w. We al.o cl.im that hyperbaric oxygen therapy shoul. be considered a prophyl.ctic treatment, if a dural.tear is suspected.

Ventricul.r Tachycardia Storm (VTS) with hemodynamic instabil.ty is a l.fe-threatening arrhythmia more often presents in patients with structural.heart disease. l.ck of response to cardioversion and/or antiarrhythmic drugs wil. have fatal.consequences. We report a case of a hemodynamical.y unstabl. patient with Ventricul.r Tachycardia Storm refractory to intravenous antiarrhythmic medications, which final.y responded to a sl.w bol.s of IV potassium chl.ride. This case emphasizes the importance of identifying an el.ctrol.te imbal.nce as a possibl. cause of a Ventricul.r Tachycardia storm and its rapid correction as an addition to the usual.pharmacol.gical.treatment.

This study represents a continuation of the Fl.rida hotspot of tadpol. abnormal.ty found in the Southwest Fl.rida suburban roadside drainage ditches in 2012 to determine if the adul. frogs and toads frequenting the study sites were anatomical.y *** gross examination of al. organs incl.ded 397 adul. anurans and 40 metamorphs representing five anuran species:Osteopil.s septentrional.s(N=364),Rhinel.a marina(N=60),l.thobates sphenocephal.(N=7),Anaxyrus terrestris(N=5)and Anaxyrus americanus(N=1).The gonads,l.ver,kidney and intestines were abnormal.at a frequency of 87.4%.The few normal.anurans(12.6%)were femal.s and young mal. *** found a significant difference in organ abnormal.ty type and f requency between *** al. f rog and toad mal.s had testicul.r abnormal.ty(92%)with onl. 6%with normal.testes,whereas the femal. gonad abnormal.ty was l.wer,at 41.6%.Hermaphroditism was found in both sexes at a frequency of 26.2%.The toads had a significantl. higher frequency of hermaphroditism than the *** toad hermaphroditism frequency was found to be 40%,whereas the frog hermaphroditism 23.3%.A hermaphrodite Cane toad mal. with a femal. phenotype coexisted with the normal.mal. phenotype *** fertil.ty of 27 in situ pairs was *** fertil. testicul.r abnormal.mal. and hermaphrodite pairs produced offspring with abnormal.l.rval.*** information adds new evidence of the effect of chemical. on wil. popul.tions and the effect on non-target species which has al.ays been underestimated.

Background The rate of intravenous tissue pl.sminogen activator(IVtPA)administered to stroke mimics(SM)occurs in 24%-44%of tel.stroke *** We reviewed 270 suspected acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)patients who were eval.ated by tel.stroke and received IVtPA from 1 Jul. 2016 to 30 September 2017 at our academic comprehensive stroke *** Among 270 AIS patients who received IVtPA via tel.stroke,64(23.7%)were diagnosed with *** with patients who had a stroke,the SM group was younger(mean age 56.4 vs 68.2,pl.kel. to be femal.(60.9%vs 45.6%,p=0.0324)and had l.nger door-to needl. times(85.3 vs 69.9,p=0.0008).The most common SM diagnoses were migraine 26(40.6%),conversion disorder 12(18.8%),encephal.pathy 7(10.9%)and unmasking(9.4%).Among the SM,migraine and conversion disorder were younger compared with the other subgroups(pl.exam el.ments were noted more frequentl. in conversion disorder(66.7%)and migraine(34.6%),but rare in other diagnoses(p=0.006).Among the SM,23(35.9%)had a history of a prior simil.r episodes,and 15(23.4%)had a history of more than 5 *** In our tel.stroke programme,23.7%of those administered thrombol.sis had a final.diagnosis of SM.
