The Efficiency of cP-Violating <i>α</i>2-Dynamos from Primordial cosmic Axion Oscillation with Torsion

Recently torsion fields were introduced in cP-violating cosmic axion a2-dynamos [Garcia de andrade, Mod Phys Lett A, (2011)] in order to obtain Lorentz violating bounds for torsion. Here instead, oscillating axion solutions of the dynamo equation with torsion modes [Garcia de andrade, Phys Lett B (2012)] are obtained taking into account dissipative torsion fields. Magnetic helicity torsion oscillatory contribution is also obtained. Note that the torsion presence guarantees dynamo efficiency when axion dynamo length is much stronger than the torsion length. Primordial axion oscillations due to torsion yield a magnetic field of 109 G at Nucleosynthesis epoch. This is obtained due to a decay of BBN magnetic field of 1015 G induced by torsion. Since torsion is taken as 10–20 s–1, the dynamo efficiency is granted over torsion damping. Of course dynamo efficiency is better in the absence of torsion. In the particular case when the torsion is obtained from anomalies it is given by the gradient of axion scalar [Duncan et al., Nuclear Phys B 87, 215] that a simpler dynamo equation is obtained and dynamo mechanism seems to be efficient when the torsion helicity, is negative while magnetic field decays when the torsion is positive. In this case an extremely huge value for the magnetic field of 1015 Gauss is obtained. This is one order of magnitude greater than the primordial magnetic fields of the domain wall. Actually if one uses tDW ~ 10-4 s one obtains BDW ~ 1022 G which is a more stringent limit to the DW magnetic primordial field.

Medicinal Mushroom Growth as Affected by Non-Axenic casing Soil

Ten different casing soils were collected from two soils at two depths （0.2 and 2.0 m below soil surface） to examine the relationships between the physical properties of non-axenic casing soil and yield, number and weight of the medicinal mushroom Agamcua blaaei ss. Heinemann. The results showed that soil clay content and bulk density were negatively correlated with the mushroom yield, respectively, but soil silt content and water-holding capacity were found to be positively correlated with the yield. The number of mushrooms was negatively correlated with soil water-holding capacity but positively correlated with soil clay, bulk density and porosity. The weight of mushroom was positively correlated with the content of soil fine sand and negatively correlated with the contents of soil coarse sand, total sand and clay. Neither soil depth nor different soil combinations affected the yield and number of mushrooms, but the mushroom weight was affected by the soil combinations and soil depth, so interplay in the fructification process with the physical characteristics of casing is complicated.

Shifts in hydrological regimes alter river flow rates and flood pulses, decrease environmental heterogeneity and the floristic-structural complexity of associated plant communities. We tested the hypothesis that drought events affect plant community composition and structure at a small-scale within a riparian fragment towards a reduction in floristic-structural complexity. The tree community was sampled in three habitats (wet, transitional and dry) and monitored in seven inventories carried out between 1991 and 2018. Hydrological variations were evaluated through annual rainfalls, river flow rates and water level data. The species richness and the detrended correspondence analysis axes were used to characterise the temporal modifications in floristic composition. community structure was described in terms of biomass: accumulated, growth of survivors, mortality and recruitment. Generalised linear mixed models were fitted to evaluate the effects of time and environment in community. It was concluded that the climate has become drier in recent years due to declining precipitation that has affected flow rates and water levels. The floristic-structural complexity of the study fragment was maintained during the monitoring period. However, prolonged and extreme drought events displayed the potential to impact floristic-structural patterns.

The effect of chromium addition on the structure and electrical properties of cacu3Ti4O12 is *** based on the formula cacu3Ti4-xcrxO12-σ(x = 0, 0.025, 0.050 and 0.075 mol%) are prepared by solid-state reaction. Pellets sintered at 1070℃ for 12 h are characterised by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive spectroscopy and impedance spectroscopy. current densityelectric field, dielectric loss and permittivity measurements are also carried out. Rietveld refinement showed the substitution of cr(Ⅲ) on the Ti(Ⅳ) site, with the maximum substitution for x = 0.025 mol%.The generation of electrical defects in the grain boundary region by chromium doping is responsible for increasing the electric breakdown field strength and nonlinearity coefficient at room temperature from 1723 V/cm and 5.29 for x = 0 mol% to 3431 V/cm and 8.16 for x = 0.025 mol%. This composition shows the greatest improvement in ceramic varistor parameters.

Assembly of IMPDH2-Based,cTPS-Based,and Mixed Rod/Ring Structures Is dependent on cell Type and conditions of Induction

Inhibition of guanosine triphosphate（GTP） and cytidine triphosphate（cTP） biosynthetic pathways induces cells to assemble rod/ring（RR） structures,also named cytoophidia,which consist of the enzymes cytidine triphosphate synthase（cTPS） and inosine-50-monophosphate dehydrogenase 2（IMPDH2）.We aim to explore the interaction of cTPS and IMPDH2 in the generation of RR *** La and cOS-7 cells were cultured in normal conditions or in the presence of 6-diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine（DON）,ribavirin,or mycophenolic acid（MPA）.Over 90% of DON-treated cells presented RR *** He La cells,35% of the RR structures were positive for IMPDH2 alone,26% were cTPS alone,and 31% were IMPDH2/cTPS mixed,while in cOS-7 cells,42% of RR were IMPDH2 alone,41% were cTPS alone,and 10% were IMPDH2/cTPS *** and MPA treatments induced only IMPDH2-based *** were also transfected with an N-terminal hemagglutinin（NHA）-tagged cTPS1 *** 95% of NHA-cTPS1 transfected cells with DON treatment presented IMPDH2-based RR and almost 100% presented cTPS1-based RR;when treated with ribavirin,over 94% of transfected cells presented IMPDH2-based RR and 37% presented cTPS1-based RR,whereas 2% of untreated transfected cells presented IMPDH2-based RR and 28% presented cTPS1-based *** results may help in understanding the relationship between cTP and GTP biosynthetic pathways,especially concerning the formation of filamentous RR structures.

Molecular aspects of intestinal calcium absorption

Intestinal ca2+ absorption is a crucial physiological process for maintaining bone mineralization and ca2+ homeostasis. It occurs through the transcellular and paracellular pathways. The first route comprises 3steps: the entrance of ca2+ across the brush border membranes(BBM) of enterocytes through epithelial ca2+ channels TRPV6, TRPV5, and cav1.3; ca2+ movement from the BBM to the basolateral membranes by binding proteins with high ca2+ affinity(such as cB9k); and ca2+ extrusion into the blood. Plasma membrane ca2+ ATPase(PMcA1b) and sodium calcium exchanger(NcX1) are mainly involved in the exit of ca2+ from enterocytes. A novel molecule, the 4.1R protein, seems to be a partner of PMcA1 b, since both molecules colocalize and interact. The paracellular pathway consists of ca2+ transport through transmembrane proteins of tight junction structures, such as claudins 2, 12, and 15. There is evidence of crosstalk between the transcellular and paracellular pathways in intestinal ca2+ transport. When intestinal oxidative stress is triggered, there is a decrease in the expression of several molecules of both pathways that inhibit intestinal ca2+ absorption. Normalization of redox status in the intestine with drugs such as quercetin, ursodeoxycholic acid, or melatonin return intestinal ca2+ transport to control values. calcitriol [1,25(OH)2D3] is the major controlling hormone of intestinal ca2+ transport. It increases the gene and protein expression of most of the molecules involved in both pathways. PTH, thyroid hormones, estrogens, p ro l a c t i n, g ro w t h h o r m o n e, a n d g l u c o c o r t i c o i d s apparently also regulate ca2+ transport by direct action, indirect mechanism mediated by the increase of renal 1,25(OH)2D3 production, or both. Different physiological conditions, such as growth, pregnancy, lactation, and aging, adjust intestinal ca2+ absorption according to ca2+ demands. Biochemical changes of cubiu Fruits (Solanum sessiliflorum Dunal, Solanaceae) According to Different Tissue Portions and Ripening Stages

cubiu fruits (Solanum sessiliflorum Dunal, Solanaceae) are known for their high nutritional value and low caloric content. This work aimed at evaluating biochemical indices of cubiu fruits according to different tissues (peel, pulp and placenta) and ripening stages (green, turning, ripe and fully ripe). The fruits were randomly harvested to investigate sensory aspects (colorimetry, blanching effect, pigments) and biochemical indices (moisture and dry matter, Total Soluble Solids (TSS), pH, Titratable Acidity (TA), TSS/TA ratio, ascorbic acid, Alcohol-Insoluble Solids (AIS), pectinesterase activity and pectin content). The analyses were performed at the laboratory of Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazonia (INPA), Manaus, Brazil. The blanching process preserved pulp colors at all ripening stages. chlorophylls were higher in green peels;flavonoids and carotenoids, in fully ripe peels. Anthocyanins were entirely absent. Pulp (turning fruits) showed the highest moisture content (91.05), followed by ripe pulp (90.70) and fully ripe pulp (90.62). Pulp TSS changed little whereas placenta TSS declined and were associated with increased TA and pH reduction (fully ripe fruits). Pulp pH and TA varied little whereas placenta pH was notably low and TA was remarkably high (fully ripe fruits). Pulp TSS/TA ratio showed predominance of TSS while in placenta, there was predominance of organic acids. AIS, precursors of pectin, were stable during ripening. The statistical analysis of dietary fiber content showed one modal value in the AIS. In pulp, pectinesterase activity correlated inversely with pectin content. cubiu fruits were significant sources of bioactive compounds, e.g. chlorophylls, flavonoids and carotenoids, predominantly in the peel and the pulp;soluble functional fibers, e.g. pectin (g/100 g fresh weight), particularly in the green peel (1.00) and the fully ripe pulp (1.12), and other versatile molecules, e.g. ascorbic acid (mg/100 g fresh weight), especially in the f

dear editors, The way in which religious texts and sources depict the processes involved in the regulation of life is an interesting and rich topic. For example, the Holy Bible, the religious basis of Western civilization, is a document that includes references to medical, as well as historic cultural practicestu. Sun has already demonstrated that the Bible contains rich medical materials on different subjects in which the roots of modem medicine can be seen. We would like to expand this view to show that religious documents, with a focus on the Holy Bible, are illustrative of period understanding of life and human biological rhythmicity and chronobiology.
