目的:揭示水泥基材料中C-S-H凝胶/水泥颗粒界面的尺寸及微观力学特性,为从纳米尺度理解水泥基材料的性能提供依据。创新点:采用动态模量图技术对C-S-H凝胶/水泥颗粒界面微区的尺度及力学行为进行研究,借助动态模量图的高分辨性,可获得该微区精确且有效的信息。方法:对比利用纳米压痕及动态模量图对C-S-H凝胶/水泥颗粒界面进行研究。结论:纳米压痕仅能粗略估计界面微区的尺寸及力学参量,相比之下,动态模量图的分辨率要高出2个数量级(表2),因此可获得更精确的测量值。C-S-H凝胶/水泥颗粒界面的尺寸在250 nm左右,模量值介于60 Gpa和70 Gpa之间。此界面区可认为是包覆水泥颗粒周围的一层紧密的水化层结构,其致密性将阻止内部水泥的进一步水化。

AIM: To investigate miR-200 family expression in Barrett's epithelium, gastric and duodenal epithelia, and esophageal adenocarcinoma. METHODS: Real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction was used to measure miR-200, ZEB1 and ZEB2 expression. Ingenuity pathway Analysis of miR-200 targets was used to predict biological outcomes. RESULTS: Barrett's epithelium expressed lower levels of miR-141 and miR-200c than did gastric and duodenal epithelia (p icated roles for the miR-200 family in molecular pathways that distinguish Barrett's epithelium from gastric and duodenalepithelia, and which control apoptosis and proliferation. All miR-200 members were downregulated in adenocarcinoma (p pression was also downregulated in non-invasive epithelium adjacent to adenocarcinoma (p pression of all miR-200 members was lower in Barrett's epithelium derived high-grade dysplastic cell lines than in a cell line derived from benign Barrett's epithelium. We observed signif icant inverse correlations between miR-200 family expression and ZEB1 and ZEB2 expression in Barrett's epithelium and esophageal adenocarcinoma (p pression might contribute to the anti-apoptotic and proliferative phenotype of Barrett's epithelium and regulate key neoplastic processes in this epithelium.

Sandplain soils on the south coast of Western Australia have low inherent fertility, which is mainly due to poor nutrient retention caused by insufficient clay and organic colloidal material. previous research has shown the benefits in nutrient levels and retention from adding clay to sandplain soils; however, there is almost no information on the addition of organic amendments. A field experiment was established at the Esperance Downs Research Station, Western Australian, in May 2010, to assess the effects of wheat straw(WS) and chicken manure(CM) biochars and compost with and without phosphorus(p) addition on soil properties and crop production over five growing seasons. The five seasons alternated between winter and summer crops. The CM and WS biochar and compost treatments significantly increased crop yields and p uptake in 3, 2 and 1 of the five seasons, respectively. The yield increases(p p yields were found that could be attributed to the organic amendments. The addition of p increased crop yields in each winter cropping season. phosphorus addition explained more than 30%of the variation in crop yields. Despite marginal p levels and summer drought conditions, arbuscular mycorrhizal root colonisation was not affected by the organic amendments. There were no significant interactions between the organic amendments and p addition in terms of crop yields, p uptake or p uptake efficiency. We conclude that much of the effect of the organic amendments was due to direct nutrient addition which dissipated over time.

Snakes often have specialized diets that undergo a shift from one prey type to another depending on the life stage of the snake. Crotalus viridis viridis （prairie rattlesnake） takes different prey at different life stages, and neonates typically prey on ectotherms, while adults feed almost entirely on small endotherms. We hypothesized that elevated rates of tongue flicking to chemical stimuli should correlate with particular prey consumed, and that this response shifts from one prey type to another as in- dividuals age. To examine if an ontogenetic shift in response to chemical cues occurred, we recorded the rate of tongue flicking for 25 neonate, 20 subadult, and 20 adult （average SVL = 280.9, 552, 789.5 mm, respectively） wild-caught C. v. viridis to chemi- cal stimuli presented on a cotton-tipped applicator; water-soluble cues from two ectotherms （prairie lizard, Sceloporus undulatus, and house gecko, Hemidactylusfrenatus）, two endotherms （deer mouse, peromyscus maniculatus and lab mouse, Mus musculus）, and water controls were used. Neonates tongue flicked significantly more to chemical cues of their common prey, S. undulatus, than to all other chemical cues; however, the response to this lizard＇s chemical cues decreased in adult rattlesnakes. Subadults tongue flicked with a higher rate of tongue flicking to both S. undulatus and p. maniculatus than to all other treatments, and adults tongue flicked significantly more to p. maniculatus than to all other chemical cues. In addition, all three sub-classes demonstrated a greater response for natural prey chemical cues over chemical stimuli of prey not encountered in the wild （M. musculus and H. frenatus）. This shift in chemosensory response correlated with the previously described ontogenetic shifts in C. v. viridis diet. Be-cause many vipers show a similar ontogenetic shift in diet and venom composition, we suggest that this shift in prey cue dis- crimination is likely a general phenomenon among viperid snakes.

The 20-year (1976-1995) daily radinsonde data at 17 stations in the tropical western pacific was ana- lyzed. The analysls shows that the atmosphere is more humid in a warmer climate on seasonal,inter-annual and long-term (20-year) time scales, implying a positive water vapor feedback The vertlcal structure of the long-term trends in relative humidity (RH) is distinct from that on short-term (seasonal and inter-annual) time scales, suggesting that observed water vapor changes on short time scales could not be considered as a surrogate of long-term climate change. The increasing trend of RH (3%-5% / decade) in the upper troposphere is stronger than that in the lower troposphere (1 %-2% / decade). Such verthal structure would amplify positive water vapor feedback in comparison to the common assumption of constant RH changes vertically. The empicical orthogonal function (EOF) analysis of vertical structure of RH varmtions shows distinct features of the vert1cal structure of the first three EOFs. The first three EOFs are optimal for repre- sentation of water vapor profiles and provide some hints on physical mechanisms respons1ble for observed humidity variability. Vaisala radiosondes were used at nine stations, and VIZ radiosondes used at other eight stations The Vaisala data are corrected for temperature-dependence error using the correction siheme developed by NCAR / ATD and Vaisala. The comparison of Vaisala and VIZ data shows that the VIZ-measured RHs after October 1993 have a moist bias of - 10% at RHs porting practice have been made at Vaisala stations and introduce errors to long-term RH variations.

We have used the ShenguangⅡlaser in third harmonic(351 nm)to investigate the emission of L-shell radiation in the 3.3–4.4 ke V range generated using thin foils of Sn coated onto a parylene substrate with irradiation of order 1015 W cm-2 and nanosecond pulse *** our experiment,we have concentrated on assessing the emission on the non-laser irradiated side as this allows an experimental geometry relevant to experiments on photo-ionised plasmas where a secondary target must be placed close to the source,to achieve x-ray fluxes appropriate to astrophysical *** L-shell conversion efficiencies are estimated to be of order 1%,with little dependence on Sn thickness between 400 and 800 nm.

Background:Routine tuberculosis(TB)notifications are geographically heterogeneous,but their utility in predicting the location of undiagnosed TB cases is *** aimed to identify small-scale geographic areas with high TB notification rates based on routinely collected data and to evaluate whether these areas have a correspondingly high rate of undiagnosed prevalent ***:We used routinely collected data to identify geographic areas with high TB notification rates and evaluated the extent to which these areas correlated with the location of undiagnosed cases during a subsequent community-wide active case finding intervention in Kampala,*** first enrolled all adults who lived within 35 contiguous zones and were diagnosed through routine care at four local TB Diagnosis and Treatment *** calculated average monthly TB notification rates in each zone and defined geographic areas of“high risk”as zones that constituted the 20%of the population with highest notification *** compared the observed proportion of TB notifications among residents of these high-risk zones to the expected proportion,using simulated estimates based on population size and random variation *** then evaluated the extent to which these high-risk zones identified areas with high burdens of undiagnosed TB during a subsequent community-based active case finding campaign using a chi-square ***:We enrolled 45 adults diagnosed with TB through routine practices and who lived within the study area(estimated population of 49527).Eighteen zones reported no TB cases in the 9-month period;among the remaining zones,monthly TB notification rates ranged from 3.9 to 39.4 per 100000 *** five zones with the highest notification rates constituted 62%(95%CI:47–75%)of TB cases and 22%of the population–significantly higher than would be expected if population size and random chance were the only determinants of zone-to-zone variation(48%,95%simulation interval:40–59%).These f
