Industry decarbonization requires the development of highly efficient and flexible technologies relying on renewable energy resources,especially biomass and solar/wind *** the case of pure oxygen production,oxygen transport membranes(OTms)appear as an alternative technology for the cryogenic distillation of air,the industrially-established process of producing ***,OTms could provide oxygen from different sources(air,water,CO_(2),etc.),and they are more flexible in adapting to current processes,producing oxygen at 700^(-1)000℃.Furthermore,OTms can be integrated into catalytic membrane reactors,providing new pathways for different *** first part of this study was focused on electrification on a traditional OTm material(Ba_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)Co_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)O_(3-δ)),imposing different electric currents/voltages along a capillary *** to the emerging Joule effect,the membrane-surface temperature and the associated O_(2) permeation flux could be ***,the OTm is electrically and locally heated and reaches 900℃on the surface,whereas the surrounding of the membrane was maintained at 650℃.The O_(2)permeation flux reached for the electrified membranes was~3.7 nmL min^(-1)cm^(-2),corresponding to the flux obtained with an OTm non-electrified at 900℃.The influence of depositing a porous Ce_(0.8)Tb_(0.2)O_(2-δ) catalytic/protective layer on the outer membrane surface revealed that lower surface temperatures(830℃)were detected at the same imposed electric ***,the electrification concept was demonstrated in a catalytic membrane reactor(CmR)where the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane(ODHE)was carried *** reaction is very sensitive to temperature,and here,we demonstrate an improvement of the ethylene yield by reaching moderate temperatures in the reaction chamber while the O_(2) injection into the reaction can be easily fine-tuned.

Identification of SUmO Targets by a novel Proteomic Approach in Plants

Post-translational modifications （PTms） chemically and physically alter the properties of proteins, including their folding, subcellular localization, stability, activity, and consequently their function. In spite of their relevance, studies on PTms in plants are still limited. Small Ubiquitin-like modifier （SUmO） modification regulates several biological processes by affecting protein-protein interactions, or changing the subcellular Iocalizations of the target proteins. Here, we describe a novel proteomic approach to identify SUmO targets that combines 2-D liquid chromatography, immunodetection, and mass spectrometry （mS） analyses. We have applied this approach to identify nuclear SUmO targets in response to heat shock. Using a bacterial SUmOylation system, we validated that some of the targets identified here are, in fact, labeled with SUmO1. Interestingly, we found that GIGAnTEA （GI）, a photoperiodic-pathway protein, is modified with SUmO in response to heat shock both in vitro and in vivo.

Fertility variation in endemic populations of Ehrami black pine (Pinus nigra Arnold. subsp. pallasiana var. pyramidata)

Fertility variation and effective number of parents were estimated in the 100 individuals from each of three plantation populations (P1, P2 and P3) of the endangered Pinus nigra. subsp. pallasiana var. pyramidata established in the Isparta-Golcuk district in southern Turkey in 1990. Potential relations between cone yield and growth characters (height, diameter at breast height, diameter at base and crown diameter) were also investigated. Large differences were found among populations and within populations for cone production and growth characters. mean cone production was eight (ranging from 6.5 in P2 to 9.1 in P1) for the three populations. The 10 most productive individuals for cones produced 32% of the total cones in P1, 39% in P2 and 34% in P3; 21, 16 and 6 individuals, respectively did not produce any cones in the populations. According to the correlation analyses, the relation between cone yield and growth characters changed for the populations, while height, diameter at breast height and crown diameter were positively significantly correlated (r = 0.182, 0.135 and 0.209; p ≤ 0.05) with cone production for the three populations. Fertility variation was 1.81 in total of three populations, ranging from 1.72 in P3 to 3.45 in P1). Effective number of parents was 142 (55.2 of number of parents censused; 29%, P1; 49.8%, P2; 58.3%, P3).

TangiWheel: A Widget for manipulating Collections on Tabletop Displays Supporting Hybrid Input modality

In this paper we present TangiWheel, a collection manipulation widget for tabletop displays. Our implementation is flexible, allowing either multi-touch or interaction, or even a hybrid scheme to better suit user choice and convenience. Different TangiWheel aspects and features are compared with other existing widgets for collection manipulation. The study reveals that TangiWheel is the first proposal to support a hybrid input modality with large resemblance levels between touch and tangible interaction styles. Several experiments were conducted to evaluate the techniques used in each input scheme for a better understanding of tangible surface interfaces in complex tasks performed by a single user （e.g., involving a typical master-slave exploration pattern）. The results show that tangibles perform significantly better than fingers, despite dealing with a greater number of interactions, in situations that require a large number of acquisitions and basic manipulation tasks such as establishing location and orientation. However, when users have to perform multiple exploration and selection operations that do not require previous basic manipulation tasks, for instance when collections are fixed in the interface layout, touch input is significantly better in terms of required time and number of actions. Finally, when a more elastic collection layout or more complex additional insertion or displacement operations are needed, the hybrid and tangible approaches clearly outperform finger-based interactions.

AIm To examine the effects of cognitive remediation therapies on brain functioning through neuroimaging procedures in patients with *** A systematic, computerised literature search was conducted in the Pubm ed/medline and PsychI nfo databases. The search was performed through February 2016 without any restrictions on language or publication date. The search was performed using the following search terms: [("cogniti*" and "remediation" or "training" or "enhancement") and("fmRI" or "mRI" or "PET" or "SPECT") and(schizophrenia or schiz*)]. The search was accompanied by a manual online search and a review of the references from each of the papers selected, and those papers fulfilling our inclusion criteria were also *** A total of 101 studies were found, but only 18 of them fulfilled the inclusion criteria. These studies indicated that cognitive remediation improves brain activation in neuroimaging studies. The most commonly reported changes were those that involved the prefrontal and thalamic regions. Those findings are in agreement with the hypofrontality hypothesis, which proposes that frontal hypoactivation is the underlying mechanism of cognitive impairments in schizophrenia. nonetheless,great heterogeneity among the studies was found. They presented different hypotheses, different results and different findings. The results of more recent studies interpreted cognitive recovery within broader frameworks, namely, as amelioration of the efficiency of different networks. Furthermore, advances in neuroimaging methodologies, such as the use of wholebrain analysis, tractography, graph analysis, and other sophisticated methodologies of data processing, might be conditioning the interpretation of results and generating new theoretical frameworks. A sedentary lifestyle and obesity are important risk factors for severe COVID-19 complications and death[1,2].Excessive adipose tissue(AT)might contribute to more extensive viral spread with increased shedding,immune activation,and cytokine amplification[3].Several factors secreted by contracting muscle,termed myokines,mediate the beneficial effects of exercise in a wide range of diseases,including obesity[4].Thus,we conducted a study to explore the potential role of myokines of the fibronectin type III domain-containing family,FnDC4 and FnDC5,in mechanisms underlying the increased susceptibility to COVID-19 complications in obesity.

marginal discrepancy and microleakage in crown-copings fabricated by three CAD/CAm systems: An <i>in vitro</i>study

The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the microleakage and marginal discrepancy of ceramic crown-copings fabricated by three different CAD/CAm systems. material and methods: Thirty extracted premolars were prepared for complete all-ceramic crowns with: total convergence 10-degree, 2 mm occlusal reduction, 4.5 mm height, 1.3 mm circular reduction and chamfer marginal preparation. They were divided into three groups and each group (n = 10) received a ceramic crown-coping fabricated by one of three CAD/CAm systems: Procera, KaVo Everest and Cerec inLab. The copings were cemented with Panavia F 2.0. After thermal cycling, the teeth were immersed in 2% basic fuchsine dye for 24 hours. microleakage was scored using a five-point scale and evaluated under a stereomicroscope at ×18. marginal discrepancies were assessed with scanning electronic microscope at ×150, with measurements at 50 different points. Data were subjected to a chisquare test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and using Rho Spearman’s correlation test (P 0.05). no significant differences were found in marginal discrepancies for the Procera (62.58 ± 8.98 μm) and KaVo Everest systems (65.54 ± 18.56 μm), (P = 0.941). Significant differences were found for Cerec inLab (132.18 ± 27.75 μm) compared with Procera and KaVo Everest (P = 0.0001). no correlation between the marginal discrepancies and microleakage for the three CAD/CAm crown-copings systems. Conclusions: Cerec inLab CAD/CAm crown-copings showed significantly higher values for microleakage and marginal discrepancy in comparison with Procera and KaVo Everest CAD/CAm crown-copings.
