Objective:To evaluate the effects of wedelolactone,a major flavonoid from Vietnamese Eclipta prostrata(L)L.,on inflammation and insulin ***:Wedelolactone was extracted from the leaves of Vietnamese Eclipta prostrata(L.)*** methanol by *** effects of wedelolactone on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced cytokine production,reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH)oxidase activities in Raw 264.7 cells were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),specific immunofluorescent dyes and luminometric analysis,*** addition,its effects on glucose uptake and the protein expression of insulin receptor substrate 1(IRS1)and glucose transporter 4(GLUT4)were examined in 3T3-L1 cells by immunofluorescent dyes and Western ***:Wedelolactone at 30μg/mL significantly inhibited LPS-induced production of tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin(IL)-6,and IL-8(Pduced ROS generation and NADPH oxidase activities in LPS-stimulated Raw 264.7 cells(P<0.01).Furthermore,wedelolactone showed anti-insulin resistance activity,as evidenced by improved glucose uptake and the upregulated expression of IRS1 and GLUT4 in 3T3-L1 cells(P<0.01).Conclusions:Wedelolactone exhibits anti-inflammation and anti-insulin resistance effects,which may be used for the treatment of diabetes and inflammation-associated diseases.

Optimizing a Transportation System Using Metaheuristics Approaches (EGD/GA/ACO): A Forest Vehicle Routing Case Study

The large-scale optimization problem requires some optimization techniques, and the Metaheuristics approach is highly useful for solving difficult optimization problems in practice. The purpose of the research is to optimize the transportation system with the help of this approach. We selected forest vehicle routing data as the case study to minimize the total cost and the distance of the forest transportation system. Matlab software helps us find the best solution for this case by applying three algorithms of Metaheuristics: Genetic Algorithm (GA), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), and Extended Great Deluge (EGD). The results show that GA, compared to ACO and EGD, provides the best solution for the cost and the length of our case study. EGD is the second preferred approach, and ACO offers the last solution.

A hybrid original approach for prediction of the aerodynamic coefficients of an ATR-42 scaled wing model

A new approach for the prediction of lift, drag, and moment coefficients is presented. This approach is based on the support vector machines （SVMs） methodology and an optimization meta-heuristic algorithm called extended great deluge （EGD）. The novelty of this approach is the hybridization between the SVM and the EGD algorithm. The EGD is used to optimize the SVM parameters. The training and validation of this new identification approach is realized using the aerodynamic coefficients of an ATR-42 wing model. The aerodynamic coefficients data are obtained with the XFoil software and experimental tests using the Price-Paidoussis wind tunnel. The predicted results with our approach are compared with those from the XFoil software and experimental results for different flight cases of angles of attack and Mach numbers. The main pur- pose of this methodology is to rapidly Predict aircraft aerodynamic coefficients.

An isogeometric approach to free vibration analysis of bi-directional functionally graded porous doubly-curved shallow microshells with variable length-scale parameters

This study uses iso-geometric investigation,which is based on the non-uniform rational B-splines(NURBS)basis function,to investigate natural oscillation of bi-directional functionally graded porous(BFGP)doublycurved shallow microshells placed on Pasternak foundations with any boundary *** characteristics of the present material vary in both thickness and axial directions along the *** be more specific,a material length-scale coefficient of the microshell varies in both thickness and length directions as the material's mechanical *** is able to develop a differential equation system with varying coefficients that regulate the motion of BFGP double-curved shallow microshells by using Hamilton principle,Kirchhoff-Love hypothesis,and modified couple stress *** numerical findings are reported for thin microshells that are spherical,cylindrical,and hyperbolic paraboloidal,with a variety of planforms,including rectangles and *** validity and effectiveness of the established model are shown by comparing the numerical results given by the proposed formulations with previously published findings in many specific *** addition,influences of length scale parameters,power-law indexes,thickness-to-side ratio,and radius ratio on natural oscillation responses of BFGP microshells are investigated in detail.

A new species Lobophora tsengii is described from Bach Long Vy(Bailongwei)Island,Haiphong Province,*** plants inhabit the subtidal zone and have predominantly erect fan-shaped thalli that attach to the substrate by a basal *** thallus is commonly composed of a single layer of large medullary cells with four layers of cortical cells on either side of the *** newly collected specimens from the island are morphologically similar to those from Hainan Island,China,but differ from the New Caledonian ones in having thicker *** molecular phylogenetic analyses based on concatenated rbcL and cox3 s equences,the specimens from the island were 100%identical to those from Hainan Island,China,and they formed a clade separating from other Lobophora ***,based on analyses of numerous cox3 s equences,our specimens were also distinguished from the closely related taxa occurring in New Caledonia,Kenya,and West *** the morphological and molecular analyses,we conclude that our specimens represent a new species of Lobophora,which is apparently endemic to the Beibu Gulf(Gulf of Tonkin)and adjacent waters.

Spatiotemporal Trend Analysis of Precipitation Extremes in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam During 1980–2017

In this study,the spatiotemporal variability of trends in extreme precipitation events in Ho Chi Minh City during the period 1980–2017 was analyzed based on several core extreme precipitation indices(Rx1 day,Rx5 day,CDD,CWD,R20 mm,R25 mm,R95 p,and SDII).The nonparametric Mann–Kendall and Sen’s slope methods were used to compute the statistical strength,stability,and magnitude of trends in annual rainfall,as well as the extreme precipitation *** found that 64%of the stations had statistically significant upward trends in yearly rainfall,with high magnitudes frequently observed in the northern and southern regions of the *** the extreme precipitation indices,only SDII and R25 mm showed dominantly significant ***,there were increasing trends in the frequency and duration at the southern and central regions of the city during the study ***,El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation and Pacific Decadal Oscillation positively correlated with the duration and negatively correlated with the intensity and frequency of extreme ***,water management plans should be adjusted appropriately to reduce the severe impacts of precipitation extremes on communities and ecosystems.

Study on Water Resistance of Polydopamine Treatment Wood Flour/Polypropylene Composites

This paper aims to investigate the water absorption of wood flour/polypropylene composites and its effects on dimensional stability and crystallization properties. Wood-plastic composites (WPCs) makes using polydopamine modified wood flour (WF-D), virgin polypropylene, maleic anhydride-grafted polypropylene (MA) and antioxidant, by using hot-pressing moulding. Water absorption (WA), thickness swelling (TS) and failure of flexural properties of the composites have studied for a range of immersion times. It is found that the WA and TS have increased with WF content and immersion time. The water absorption and thickness swelling of WPCs are 0.85% and 0.99%, respectively, after 8 days immersion. With the prolonging of immersion time, the impact strength, flexural strength and flexural modulus of WPCs increase first and then decrease. The impact strength decreases from 3.32 kJ/m2 to 2.94 kJ/m2, the retention rate is 88.55%;the flexural strength and flexural modulus by 68.58 Mpa and 3.92 Gpa, respectively. WPCs crystallization and thermal properties decrease slightly. Microstructures of the composites are examined to understand the mechanisms for the wood-plastic interaction which affects the water absorption and thickness swelling. Our work demonstrates that using polydopamine treatment wood flour for preparing WPCs can be an efficient way to improve the water resistance of WPCs.

Xanthine oxidase inhibitors from Archidendron clypearia(Jack.) I.C. Nielsen: Results from systematic screening of Vietnamese medicinal plants

Objective: To screen Vietnamese medicinal plants for xanthine oxidase(XO) inhibitory activity and to isolate XO inhibitor(s) from the most active plant. Methods: The plants materials were extracted by methanol. The active plant materials were fractionated using different organic solvents, including n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and n-butanol. Bioassay-guided fractionation and column chromatography were used to isolate compounds. The compounds structures were elucidated by analysis of spectroscopic data, including IR, MS, and NMR. Results: Three hundreds and eleven methanol extracts(CME) belonging to 301 Vietnamese herbs were screened for XO inhibitory activity. Among these plants, 57 extracts displayed XO inhibitory activity at 100 μg/m L with inhibition rates of over 50%. The extracts of Archidendron clypearia, Smilax poilanei, Linociera ramiflora and Passiflora foetida exhibited the greatest potency with IC_(50) values below 30 μg/m L. Chemical study performed on the extract of Archidendron clypearia resulted in the isolation of six compounds, including 1-octacosanol, docosenoic acid, daucosterol, methyl gallate, quercitrin and(-)-7-O-galloyltricetiflavan. The compound(-)-7-O-galloyltricetiflavan showed the most potent XO inhibitory activity with an IC_(50) value of 25.5 μmol/L. Conclusions: From this investigation, four Vietnamese medicinal plants were identified to have XO inhibitory effects with IC_(50) values of the methanol extracts below 30 μg/m L. Compound(-)-7-O-galloyltricetiflavan was identified as an XO inhibitor from Archidendron clypearia with IC_(50) value of 25.5 μmol/L.

随着经济的发展和深度融合,越南金融市场在过去20年中取得了巨大成就和变化,成为投资渠道和资本成员之一,对于促进国家经济发展具有重要作用。在此期间,越南股市已朝着整合国际标准的方向发生变化。但是,越南股票市场作为新成立的金融市场之一,有许多独特的模式,其中一个便是股票被控制的制度(controlled security-简称是CS制度)。总的来说CS制度能够孤立那些经营状况不良,利润低,破产风险高的企业,与正常的商业活动区别开。这项工作的目的是帮助降低投资者的风险,帮助股市健康发展。当被列入受控股票清单时,被控制股票公司通常会进行资产重组活动。该研究希望通过研究来评估此重组活动的财务效应.了解CS公司资产重组绩效可以给越南股票市场监管部门、越南当地政府、越南CS公司股东和管理者、中小投资者做出更好的决策在多样评估方法中、熵权法和TOPSIS方法是评估效果的客观科学方法。这种方法可以避免人为的主观判断。研究目的首先是系统地研究资产重组与效应关系的理论、了解国外企业财务重组的经验、从中为越南企业以及CS公司的企业吸取教训。其次检验越南CS公司资产重组绩效,指出越南CS公司资产重组在长期、短期的绩效、研究不同的资产重组方式对于CS公司的重组效果的影响。在上述研究基础上总结越南CS公司进行资产重组财务绩效在2014至2018年度的结果。最后提出对中小投资者、CS公司股东和管理者、越南股票市场监管部门的建议。本文发现:在不同资产重组方式会带来得不一样的财务绩效。从资产重组类型来看,混合重组类资产重组和资产资产剥离对CS公司的财务绩效果最有效果,协议收购兼并的资产重组CS公司的财务绩效果最有效果最糟糕。并且研究指出CS公司在进行资产重组时,存在着短期绩效和长期绩效之间的矛盾。短期内大部分进行资产重组CS公司的财务绩效显著的改善,可是长期的财务绩效不能保持它的得分排名,甚至再迅速下降
