Three-dimensional Rotational Angiography in Congenital Heart disease:Estimation of Radiation Exposure

Objectives: There is an increasing use of three-dimensional rotational angiography (3d-RA) during catheterization of congenital heart disease. dose-area-product (dAP) measured by the angiography system and computed-tomography dose index (CTdI) do not appear practical for dose assessment. Hence, we performed real dose measurements in anthropomorphic phantoms. Methods: Three different anthropomorphic phantoms (10 kg, 19 kg and 73 kg bodyweight) equipped with thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLd) were used. We used a typical standard diagnostic program and a low-dose program. The effective dose (Ed) was calculated according to the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) 103. The 3d distribution of radiation in the body was assessed. Results: Ed for the male 10 kg phantom was 0.192 mSv in the diagnostic program and 0.050 mSv (male) in the low-dose program. The 19 kg phantom received an Ed of 0.205 mSv (male) in the diagnostic program. In the low-dose program the Ed reached 0.058 mSv (male). The male adult 73 kg phantom was exposed with an Ed of 0.730 mSv in the diagnostic program and 0.282 mSv in the low-dose program. Ed for the female phantoms was slightly higher for both acquisition-programs. dose distribution was inhomogeneous with a dose maximum in the esophageal region behind the heart, whereas in the brain, intestine and gonads we found nearly no radiation. Conclusions: 3d-RA imaging in the interventional catheter laboratory is possible with an effective dose lower than 1 mSv. With its potential to reduce fluoroscopic time and the number of control angiographies in catheterization and intervention in complex anatomy, it can decrease the radiation dose.

Heat stress significantly impairs reproduction of sheep,and under current climatic conditions is a significant risk to the efficiency of the meat and wool production,with the impact increasing as global temperatures *** from field studies and studies conducted using environmental chambers demonstrate the effects of hot temperatures(≥32℃)on components of ewe fertility(oestrus,fertilisation,embryo survival and lambing)are most destructive when experienced from 5 d before until 5 d after *** controlled studies also demonstrate that ram fertility,as measured by rates of fertilisation and embryo survival,is reduced when mating occurs during the period 14 to 50 d ***,the contribution of the ram to heat induced reductions in flock fertility is difficult to determine *** primarily on temperature controlled studies,it is clear that sustained exposure to high temperatures(≥32℃)during pregnancy reduces lamb birthweight and will,therefore,decrease lamb survival under field *** is concluded that both ewe and ram reproduction is affected by relatively modest levels of heat stress(≥32℃)and this is a concern given that a significant proportion of the global sheep population experiences heat stress of this magnitude around mating and during *** this,strategies to limit the impacts of the climate on the homeothermy,behaviour,resource use and reproduction of extensively grazed sheep are limited,and there is an urgency to improve knowledge and to develop husbandry practices to limit these impacts.

Objective: To evaluate the antioxidant effect of honey using two classical methods generally used, and for the first time to test the effect of honey on the oxidation, chlorination and nitration by purified equine myeloperoxidase (MPO). Methods: The antioxidant activity of three Algerian honey samples (nectar honey, mixed honey and honeydew honey) was evaluated by two classical methods, the ferric- reducing/antioxidant power (FRAP) assay and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (dPPH) radical-scavenging capacity. Results: Honeydew honey had the highest reducing power and dPPH radical-scavenging activity, whereas nectar honey showed the lowest reducing power and dPPH radical-scavenging activity. All honey samples showed a significant inhibitory effect on the chlorination activity of equine MPO, but honeydew honey was the weakest inhibitor. The three samples were poorly inhibitor on the MPO oxidation and nitration activities, except for nectar honey that exerted an inhibitory effect at the highest tested concentration of 10%. These later results seem to contradict those obtained with dPPH and FRAP. Conclusions: The antioxidant capacity of honey is mainly due to the phenolic compounds and flavonoids it contained. It has been suggested that MPO might be involved in the antioxidant, not pro-oxidant, activity of phenolic compounds.

本文旨在提出通过引进公法方法,来理解与建构国际投资法。第一部分将说明完善国际投资法和仲裁之不足的新概念性方法的必要性。第二部分指出制度上的改革可行性不高,若要增加国际投资关系的可接受性、可靠性以及合法性,最有希望的方法是通过实施系统性的内部方法。第三部分揭示上述方法应当强调:国际投资法本质上为国际公法的一个学科,承认经典国际法与商事仲裁的区别。第四部分提出,通过仲裁庭对以条约为中心的投资保护标准的精心发展与具体化,国际投资仲裁逐渐发展成为一种全球治理机制,对东道国和投资者产生影响。最后在第五部分中,将引入比较公法的方法,旨在指导对国际投资条约的解释并将其合法化,并且把此方法作为改革的来源。

AIM: To study the expression of HBV enhancer Ⅱ by transcription factor COUP-TF1. METHOdS: In order to study the regulation of HBV variants in the vicinity of the NRRE we cloned luciferase constructs containing the HBV enhancer Ⅱ from variants and from HBV genotypes A and d and cotransfected them together with expression vectors for COUP-TF1 into HepG2 cells. RESULTS: Our fi ndings show that enhancer Ⅱ of HBV genotype A is also repressed by COUP-TF1. In contrast, two different enhancer Ⅱ constructs of HBV genotype d were activated by COUP-TF1. The activation was independent of the NRRE because a natural variant with a deletion of nt 1763-1770 was still activated by COUP- TF1. CONCLUSION: Regulation of transcription of the HBV genome seems to differ among HBV genomes derived from different genotypes. These differences in transcriptional control among HBV genotypes may be the molecular basis for differences in the clinical course among HBV genotypes.

采用LC-MS/MS方法建立了缬沙坦类药物中相关杂质的测定,,使用discovery■HS F5,(5μm particle size,L×I.d.15cm×4.6mm)色谱柱,流动相A为0.1%甲酸水溶液;流动相B为0.1%甲酸甲醇溶液,梯度洗脱,流速为0.40 mL/min,离子化模式为:ESI+,多反应监测模式(MRM)进行定性分析;基质外标法进行定量分析,得到缬沙坦类药物中相关杂质的检出限为10.0μg/kg;定量限为20.0μg/kg,在线性浓度范围为10-100μg/L之间有良好的线性关系相关系数均大于0.999,加标回收率为72.3-86.9%,相对标准偏差(RSd)为4.7-8.9%。本方法对于缬沙坦类药物中有关物质的检测分析结果准确率高,可靠性强,适合检测缬沙坦类药物中有关物质的残留量的测定。

Melicope madagascariensis(Rutaceae)is an endemic plant species of Madagascar that was first classified as a member of the genus Euodia J.R.&***(Rutaceae)under the scientific name Euodia madagascariensis *** on morphological characteristics,Thomas Gordon Hartley taxonomically revised *** Baker to be ***(Baker)*** studies have long been used to help the identification and confirmation of taxonomical classification of plant species and *** to find more evidences to support the taxonomical revision performed on ***,we carried out phytochemical investigation of two samples of the *** of the ethanol extracts prepared from two stem bark samples of ***(Baker)*** led to the isolation of seven known furoquinoline alkaloids 1–7 and two known methoxyflavones 8 and *** presence of furoquinoline alkaloids and methoxyflavones in the title species is in agreement with its taxonomic transfer from Euodia to *** evaluation of the isolated compounds showed that 6-methoxy-7-hydroxydictamnine(heliparvifoline,3)showed weak antimalarial activity(IC_(50)=35μM)against the chloroquine-resistant strain dd2 of Plasmodium ***(4)displayed moderate cytotoxicity with IC_(50)value of 1.5 lM against HT-29 colon cancer cell line whereas 3,5-dihydroxy-30,40,7-trimethoxyflavone(9)was weakly active in the same assay(IC_(50)=13.9μM).
