Multifunctional,flexible,and robust thin films capable of operating in demanding harsh temperature environments are crucial for various cutting-edge *** study presents a multifunctional Janus film integrating highly-crystalline Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene and mechanically-robust carbon nanotube(CNT)film through strong hydrogen *** hybrid film not only exhibits high electrical conductivity(4250 S cm^(-1)),but also demonstrates robust mechanical strength and durability in both extremely low and high temperature environments,showing exceptional resistance to thermal *** hybrid Janus film of 15μm thickness reveals remarkable multifunctionality,including efficient electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of 72 dB in X band frequency range,excellent infrared(IR)shielding capability with an average emissivity of 0.09(a minimal value of 0.02),superior thermal camouflage performance over a wide temperature range(−1 to 300℃)achieving a notable reduction in the radiated temperature by 243℃ against a background temperature of 300℃,and outstanding IR detection capability characterized by a 44%increase in resistance when exposed to 250 W IR *** multifunctional MXene/CNT Janus film offers a feasible solution for electromagnetic shielding and IR shielding/detection under challenging conditions.

垂直腔面发射激光器(VCSEL)与并行光传输、光互连等领域的数据传输需求相契合,能够应用于单通道和并行光互联网络,是宽带以太网、高速数据通信中关键的光电子器件。而热效应严重限制了VCSEL的带宽等高速调制性能并影响输出的稳定性,通过优化电流分布、调整氧化孔径、减薄衬底、使用高热导率的材料、键合热沉等方式有助于VCSEL的热耗散。本文综述了VCSEL热管理等方面的研究进展,这对于提升其高速调制性能至关重要,最后介绍了本课题组最新设计的具有高效散热结构的高速多孔孔径VCSEL。

Facile Synthesis as well as Structural, Raman, dielectric and Antibacterial Characteristics of Cu doped ZnO Nanoparticles

Here, undoped and Cu doped ZnO nanoparticles(NPs) have been prepared by chemical co-precipitation technique. X-ray diffraction(XRd) results reveal that Cu ions are successfully doped into ZnO matrix without altering its wurtzite phase. The single wurtzite phase of ZnO is retained even for 10 wt% Cu doped ZnO sample. It is observed from the electron microscopy results that higher level of Cu doping varies the morphology of ZnO NPs from spherical to flat NPs. Moreover, the particle size is found to increase with the increase in Cu doping level. Raman spectroscopy results further confirm that Cu dopant has not altered the wurtzite structure of ZnO. Impedance spectroscopy results reveal that the dielectric constant and dielectric loss have increasing trend with Cu doping. Cu doping has been found to slightly decrease the bactericidal potency of ZnO nanoparticles.

This study aims to identify the potential association of mental health and social media forum during the outbreak of COVId-19 ***-19 brings a lot of challenges to government *** the different strategies the most extensively adopted ones were lockdown,social distancing,and isolation among *** people with no mental illness history have been found with high risk of distress and psychological discomfort due to anxiety of being infected with the *** among people due to COVId-19 spread faster than the disease *** misinformation and excessive usage of social media in this pandemic era have adversely affected mental health across the *** to limited historical data,psychiatrists are finding it difficult to cure the mental illness of people resulting from the pandemic repercussion,fueled by social media *** this study the methodology used for data extraction is by considering the implications of social network platforms(such as Reddit)and levering the capabilities of a semi-supervised co-training technique-based use of Naïve Bayes(NB),Random Forest(RF),and Support Vector Machine(SVM)*** experimental results shows the efficacy of the proposed methodology to identify the mental illness level(such as anxiety,bipolar disorder,depression,PTSd,schizophrenia,and OCd)of those who are in anxious of being infected with this *** observed 1 to 5%improvement in the classification decision through the proposed method as compared to state-of-the-art classifiers.

Cancer therapy is undergoing a paradigm shift toward immunotherapy focusing on various approaches to activate the host immune *** research to identify appropriate immune cells and activate anti-tumor immunity continues to expand,scientists are looking at microbial sources given their inherent ability to elicit an immune *** extracellular vesicles(BEVs)are actively studied to control systemic humoral and cellular immune responses instead of using whole microorganisms or other types of extracellular vesicles(EVs).BEVs also provide the opportunity as versatile drug delivery *** mammalian EVs,BEVs have already made it to the clinic with the meningococcal vaccine(Bexsero®).However,there are still many unanswered questions in the use of BEVs,especially for chronic systemically administered *** this review,we address the opportunities and challenges in the use of BEVs for cancer immunotherapy and provide an outlook towards development of BEV products that can ultimately translate to the clinic.

Efficient Simplification Methods for Generating High Quality LOds of 3d Meshes

Two simplification algorithms are proposed for automatic decimation of polygonal models, and for generating their LOds. Each algorithm orders vertices according to their priority values and then removes them iteratively. For setting the priority value of each vertex, exploiting normal field of its one-ring neighborhood, we introduce a new measure of geometric fidelity that reflects well the local geometric features of the vertex. After a vertex is selected, using other measures of geometric distortion that are based on normal field deviation and distance measure, it is decided which of the edges incident on the vertex is to be collapsed for removing it. The collapsed edge is substituted with a new vertex whose position is found by minimizing the local quadric error measure. A comparison with the state-of-the-art algorithms reveals that the proposed algorithms are simple to implement, are computationally more efficient, generate LOds with better quality, and preserve salient features even after drastic simplification. The methods are useful for applications such as 3d computer games, virtual reality, where focus is on fast running time, reduced memory overhead, and high quality LOds.
