Nowadays organosilicon luminescent materials are of increasing interest due to the variety of their synthetic or modification techniques and application fields. Ladder polyphenylsilsesquioxanes(L-PPSQ) are a unique class of organosilicon polymers, which can be ideal matrices for the luminescent composites due to their high thermal stability, optical transparency and mechanical strength. In this work, new mechanically strong, heat-resistant, transparent and sensitive to ammonia vapor luminescent composite films based on L-PPSQ have been obtained. As the source of europium ions oligophenyleuropiumsiloxane was used, demonstrating perfect compatibility to the matrix due to the similar *** improve luminescent properties of the films, new organosilicon ligands were introduced into the composites and their influence on the properties of the materials was studied. Valuable properties of described composites may allow their further application as multifunctional coatings.

Numerous pathogens can infect the olfactory tract,yet the pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 has strongly emphasized the importance of the olfactory mucosa as an immune *** in the nasal passages,the olfactory mucosa is directly exposed to the environment to sense airborne odorants;however,this also means it can serve as a direct route of entry from the outside world into the *** a result,olfactotropic infections can have serious consequences,including dysfunction of the olfactory system,CNS invasion,dissemination to the lower respiratory tract,and transmission between *** research has shown that a distinctive immune response is needed to protect this neuronal and mucosal tissue.A better understanding of innate,adaptive,and structural immune barriers in the olfactory mucosa is needed to develop effective therapeutics and vaccines against olfactotropic microbes such as ***,we summarize the ramifications of SARS-CoV-2 infection of the olfactory mucosa,review the subsequent immune response,and discuss important areas of future research for olfactory immunity to infectious disease.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of infant feces-derived Bifidobacterium breve CCFM1078 on rheumatoid cachexia （RC）. Twenty-four female Wistar rats were assigned to three groups: CON group （normal saline by gavage）， CIA group （collagen-induced arthritis， normal saline by gavage）， and CCFM1078 group (collagen-induced arthritis， 3×109CFU/rat/day B breve CCFM1078 gavage). The results demonstrated that B. breve CCFM1078 not only improved skeletal muscle function in CIA rats， but also modulated the gut microbiota， skeletal muscle metabolism and hormone levels， reduced inflammation in the knee joint and skeletal muscles， decreased activity of the NF-κB inflammatory signaling pathway， enhanced the IRS1/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway， promoted skeletal muscle differentiation， and maintained skeletal muscle fiber diameter， consequently slowing down the progression of RC. These findings suggested that B. breve CCFM1078 may have a beneficial role as part of a dietary intervention for RC， enhancing overall therapeutic effects.

This paper presents a new computational method for forward uncertainty quantification(UQ)analyses on large-scale structural systems in the presence of arbitrary and dependent random *** method consists of a generalized polynomial chaos expansion(GPCe)for statistical moment and reliability analyses associated with the stochastic output and a static reanalysis method to generate the input-output data *** the reanalysis,we employ substructuring for a structure to isolate its local regions that vary due to random *** allows for avoiding repeated computations of invariant substructures while generating the input-output data *** substructuring with static condensation further improves the computational efficiency of the reanalysis without losing ***,the GPCe with the static reanalysis method can achieve significant computational saving,thus mitigating the curse of dimensionality to some degree for UQ under high-dimensional *** numerical results obtained from a simple structure indicate that the proposed method for UQ produces accurate solutions more efficiently than the GPCe using full finite element analyses(FeAs).We also demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of the proposed method by executing UQ for a large-scale wing-box structure under ten-dimensional(all-dependent)random inputs.

dental pulp stem/stromal cells(dPSCs)are fibroblast-like,neural crest-derived,and multipotent cells that can differentiate into several *** are relatively easy to isolate from healthy and inflamed pulps,with little ethical concerns and can be successfully cryopreserved and *** therapeutic effects of dPSCs derived from animal or human sources have been extensively studied through in-vitro and in-vivo animal experiments and the findings indicated that dPSCs are effective not only for dental diseases but also for systemic *** that translational research is a critical step through which the fundamental scientific discoveries could be translated into applicable diagnostics and therapeutics that directly benefit humans,several clinical studies were carried out to generate evidence for the efficacy and safety of autogenous or allogeneic human dPSCs(hdPSCs)as a treatment modality for use in cell-based therapy,regenerative medicine/dentistry and tissue *** clinical medicine,hdPSCs were effective for treating acute ischemic stroke and human exfoliated deciduous teeth-conditioned medium(SHed-CM)repaired vascular damage of the corpus cavernous,which is the main cause of erectile *** in clinical dentistry,autologous SHed was able to rege-nerate necrotic dental pulp after implantation into injured teeth,and micrografts enriched with autologous hdPSCs and collagen sponge were considered a treatment option for human intrabony *** contrast,hdPSCs did not add a significant regenerative effect when they were used for the treatment of post-extraction ***-scale clinical studies across diverse populations are still lacking to provide robust evidence on the safety and efficacy of hdPSCs as a new treatment option for various human diseases including dental-related problems.

The halide migration effect in mixed-halide lead-based perovskite is a serious problem hindering the development of its display *** this study,we have successfully addressed this issue by reporting formadinium(FA)doped mixed-halide perovskite nanocrystals(NCs)with ultra-deep-blue emission of 450 nm,narrow bandwidth of 16 nm,and a high photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)of 66%.The perovskite nanocrystal light-emitting diodes(NC-Leds)using this nanocrystal as an active layer achieved a maximum external quantum efficiency(eQe)of 0.32%,30-fold improved compared to that of pristine and stable electroluminescence(eL)spectra at 450 nm under a 4.9–8.0 V *** findings demonstrate the potential of our approach in developing stable and efficient deep blue perovskite NC-Leds.

Irritable bowel syndrome-diarrhea （IBS-d） is a prevalent functional bowel disease severely impairs the quality of life of patients. Visceral hypersensitivity （VH） is the main symptom of IBS-d. Probiotics have been found to effectively alleviate VH. In this study， neonatal maternal separation （NMS） was used to induce VH in 72 rats and investigated the effects of daily gavage of 3*109CFU of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium on alleviating the symptoms of IBS-d and behavioral interventions， as well as exploring potential mechanisms. The results demonstrated that Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium breve could alleviate the symptoms of IBS-d such as VH and increased frequency of bowel movements， as well as improving non-spatial memory in NMS rats. These effects were achieved by modulating the composition of gut microbiota and metabolites （including short-chain fatty acids， deoxycholic acid and adenosine）， and by regulating the expression of genes and proteins associated with the NGF/TrkA signaling pathway， tryptophan metabolism， and inflammatory factors in the hippocampus. This finding suggests that Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium breve have promising potential for the alleviation of IBS.

We report a theory of thermal spin pumping into proximity magnets under a transverse-bias-driven heat flow of magnons in magnetic films when the dipolar coupling to the magnetic gate is tuned to be “chiral”. While there is no rectification of the magnon current in the film, we predict that chirality diverts a large percentage(50% for perfect chirality) of it into the gate. This transverse thermal spin pumping effect can be controlled by rotating the film magnetization and may help manage the heat flow in future magnonic circuits.
