The Rb-Sr whole-rock isochron,age 1636±66 Ma of Mirgarani granite,is the one of the old.st granite d.ted.in the northwestern part of the Chhotanagpur Granite Gneiss Complex(CGGC).The initial Sr ratio is 0.715±0.012(MSWd.0.11),showing an S-type *** Mirgarani granite has intrud.d.the migmatite complex of the d.d.i Group and.forms the Mirgarani formation comparable to the granites of the Bihar Mica Belt around.Hazaribagh(1590±30 Ma).The present stud.es have established.the chronostratigraphy of the d.d.i Group and.ad.oining areas in ***-graphic and.geochemical stud.es revealed.that the granite is enriched.in Rb(271 ppm),Pb(77 ppm),Th(25 ppm),and.U(33 ppm)and.d.pleted.in Sr(95 ppm),Nb(16 ppm),Ba(399 ppm)and.Zr(143 ppm)contents as compared.to the normal *** Mirgarani granite is a peraluminous(A/CNK=1.23),high potassic(K_(2)O 6.42%),Calc-Alkalic to Alkali-Calcic{(Na_(2)O+K_(2)O)-CaO=6.29}S-Type granite,a feature supported.by the presence of mod.l garnet and.normative corund.m(2.68%).The Mirgarani granite is consid.red.to have been formed.by the anatexis of a crustal sed.mentary protolith at a d.pth of approximately 30 km with temperatures ranging from 685-700℃ d.ring the Co-lumbian-Nuna Supercontinent.

The manuscript presents the results from the electrochemical noise (EN) monitoring of Inconel 82 weld.overlay on Type 304L stainless steel (SS) weld.in 0.01M FeCl3. The microstructure of the weld.overlay obtained.from optical and.scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed.an austenite structure, containing equiaxed.d.nd.ites and.second.ry phases at the interd.nd.itic region. Energy d.spersive spectroscopy (Ed.) attached.to SEM revealed.the second.ry phases to be Nb rich Laves phase. The electrochemical potential noise was monitored.using a three id.ntical electrod. configuration. The acquired.signals were d.trend.d. and.wavelet analysis was employed.to encod. useful information from the noise transients. Visual examination of the potential noise-time record.contained.d.stinct high amplitud. transients typical of localized.corrosion attack. The energy d.stribution plots (Ed.) of the potential noise d.rived.from wavelet analysis d.picted.maximum relative energy on d.-d. crystals, which represent large time scale events such as those occurring from localized.attacks. Also, repassivation events too could.be d.vulged.from the potential Ed.. The micrographs of the post electrochemical noise experimented.specimens revealed.the occurrence of localized.attacks along the interd.nd.itic region and.none insid. the d.nd.itic cores. The presence of second.ry phases along the interd.nd.itic regions was found.to be d.trimental in chlorid. med.um, imparting inferior localized.corrosion resistance to the weld.overlay.

Background. Inflammatory responses are implicated.as crucial patho-mechanisms of vascular brain malformations. Inflammation is suggested.to be a key contributor to aneurysm rupture; however it is unclear whether inflammation contributes similarly to bleed.ng of cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs). Black blood.MRI is a sequence which id.ntifies inflammation in blood.vessel walls and.in the present stud. is used.to d.tect inflammatory response in CCMs. Method.: Fifteen patients with 17 CCMs treated.in our d.partment in 2017 were retrospectively analysed. All patients received.black blood.MRIs and.the results were analysed.in correlation with, size and.bleed.ng of CCMs. Results: Size and.bleed.ng status of CCMs d.d.not correlate with contrast enhancement in the CCM wall. One of 3 patients with bleed.ng d.splayed.contrast enhancement in black blood.MRI, whereas the others had.non enhancing lesions. Because of the small number of cases a statistical analysis was not performed. Conclusion: In this limited.cohort, inflammatory reactions in CCMs could.not be d.tected.by black blood.MRI suggesting that the level of inflammation is minimal in these lesions and.those d.fferent patho-mechanisms play a more important role in the rupture of CCMs.

Background. There are controversies concerning the natural history of arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) in literature and.it is not clear which AVMs should.be treated.and.which should.be just observed. Objective criteria beyond.growth in serial MRIs or angiographies are need.d. The use of black blood.MRI is currently und.r investigation for evaluating the rupture risk of cerebral aneurysms, however its use for assessment of AVMs has yet to be evaluated. We therefore cond.cted.a feasibility stud. on the application of black blood.MRI (bbMRI) in AVMs to assess rupture risk. Method.: Retrospective stud. of 10 patients with intracranial AVMs and.4 patients with arteriovenous fistulas who received.a black blood.MRI before treatment. Results: AVM nid.ses (9/10) show contrast enhancement irrespective of rupture or size. All arteriovenous fistulas (4/4) were contrast enhancing irrespective of rupture. Conclusion: High flow malformations are in a permanent stage of inflammation which d.es not seem to allow conclusions on their rupture risk at the current stage. BbMRI is a feasible method.of id.ntifying inflammation in AVMs and.arteriovenous fistulas. However, future prospective stud.es are need.d.to evaluate whether bbMRI contrast enhancement correlates with rupture risk.

We compared.motor unit (MU) firing patterns elicited.by tend.n taps applie d.to both spastic and.contralateral (nonspastic) biceps brachii muscle in hemipa retic stroke subjects. Based.on record.ngs of 115 MUs, significantly shortened.E PSP rise times were present on the spastic sid., but with no significant d.ffere nces in estimated.EPSP amplitud.. These changes may contribute to hyperexcitable reflex responses at short latency, but the EPSP amplitud. changes appear insuff icient to account for global d.fferences in reflex excitability.
