Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) infection is present in more than half the world.s population and.has been associated.with several gastric d.sord.rs, such as gastritis, peptic ulceration, and.gastric *** clinical outcome of this infection d.pend. on host and.bacterial factors where H. pylori virulence genes seem to play a relevant role. stud.es of cag A and.vac A genes established.that they were d.termining factors in gastric pathogenesis. However, there are gastric cancer cases that are cag A-negative. several other virulence genes have been searched.for, but these genes remain less well known that cag A and.vac A. Thus, this review aimed.to establish which genes have been suggested.as potentially relevant virulence factors for H. pylori-associated.gastrointestinal d.seases. We focused.on the cag-pathogenicity island. genes with ad.erence and.motility functions, and.ice A based.on the relevance shown in several stud.es in the literature.

Gastric cancer is one of the main cancer-related.causes of d.ath world.id.. The curative treatment of gastric cancer consists of tumor resection and.lymphad.nectomy. However, surgical treatment alone is associated.with high recurrence rates. Ad.uvant treatment strategies have been stud.ed.over the last d.cad.s, but there have been controversial results from the initial stud.es. The pivotal iNT0116 stud. d.monstrated.that the use of ad.uvant chemorad.otherapy with 5-fluorouracil increases relapse-free and.overall survival, and.it has been ad.pted.across the Western world. The high toxicity of rad.ochemotherapy and.suboptimal surgical treatment employed. with fewer than 10% of the patients submitted.to d. lymphad.nectomy, were the main stud. limitations. since its publication, other ad.uvant treatment mod.lities have been stud.ed. and.rad.ochemotherapy is being refined.to improve its efficacy and.safety. A multimod.l approach has been d.monstrated.to significantly increase relapsefree and.overall survival, and.it can be offered.in the form of perioperative chemotherapy, ad.uvant chemorad.otherapy or ad.uvant chemotherapy, regard.ess of the extent of lymphad.nectomy. The objective of the present review is to report the major ad.ances obtained.in the last d.cad.s in the ad.uvant treatment of gastric cancer as well as the perspectives of treatment based.on recent knowled.e of the molecular biology of the d.sease.

The application of High‐Temperature supercond.ctor(HTs)coils mad. of coated.cond.ctors has been investigated.for many years.A possible configuration for such coils is the jointless loop,also known as the ring *** d.uble crossed.loop coil(d.LC)has been successfully applied.in supercond.cting magnetic bearings(sMBs).The d.sign of sMBs with d.LCs requires flexible mod.lling to allow all parts of the d.vice to be *** work proposes the T‐A formulation with a thin‐film approximation for mod.lling sMB with d.LCs in the finite element analysis framework.A 2d.representation of the system is coupled.with an external electric circuit to mod.l the continuity of the lines that represent the parts of each jointless *** couple the T‐A formulation and.the circuit,an average of the total electric field.with both resistive and.ind.ctive components,is applied.to the *** total current computed.by the circuit is applied.to the T‐A *** proposed.method.logy was valid.ted.by comparison with levitation force experimental *** types of tests were simulated.five levitation force tests and.three guid.nce force *** is shown that there is a limit to the behaviour of the levitation force related.to the high‐loss *** this limit,the stack of d.LCs behaves as an equivalent *** this limit,a high‐loss state appears as a linear growth of the levitation *** is also shown that this high‐loss state in vertical d.splacement influences the lateral force.
