Miscible na.ura. ga. injection is wid.ly consid.red.a. a.pra.tica. a.d.efficient enha.ced.oil recovery technique. However, the ma.n cha.lenge in this process is the high minimum miscibility pressure（MMP）between na.ura. ga. a.d.crud. oil, which limits its a.plica.ion a.d.recovery fa.tor, especia.ly in hightempera.ure reservoirs. Therefore, we present a.novel investiga.ion to qua.tify the effect of chemica.a.sisted.MMP red.ction on the oil recovery fa.tor. Firstly, we mea.ured.the interfa.ia. tension（IFT） of the metha.e-oil system in the presence of chemica. or CO2to ca.cula.e the MMP red.ction a. a.consta.t tempera.ure（373K） using the va.ishing interfa.ia. tension（VIT） method. a.terwa.d., we performed.three coreflood.ng experiments to qua.tify the effect of MMP red.ction on the oil recovery fa.tor und.r d.fferent injection *** interfa.ia. tension mea.urements show tha. a.0}ing a.sma.l fra.tion（1.5 wt%） of the tested.surfa.ta.t（SOLOTERRa.ME-6） a.hieved.9% of MMP red.ction, while a.0}ing 20 wt% of CO2to the metha.e yield. 13% of MMP red.ction. Then, the coreflood.ng results highlight the significa.ce of a.hieving miscibility d.ring ga. injection, a. the ultima.e recovery fa.tor increa.ed.from 65.5% und.r immiscible cond.tions to 77.2% using chemica.-a.sisted.metha.e, a.d.to 79% using ga. mixture a.ter a.hieving nea. miscible cond.tion. The results d.monstra.e the promising potentia. of the MMP red.ction to significa.tly increa.e the oil recovery fa.tor d.ring ga. injection. Furthermore, these results will likely expa.d.the a.plica.ion envelop of the miscible ga. injection, in a.0}ition to the environmenta. benefits of utilizing the prod.ced.ga. by re-injection/recycling instea.0}of fla.ing which contributes to red.cing the greenhouse ga. emissions.
