Carbon isotope compositions of both sedimentary carbonate and organic matter can be used as key proxies of the global carbon cycle and of its evolution through time,as long as they are acquired from waters where the dissolved inorganic carbon(DIC)is in isotope equilibrium with the atmospheric ***,in shallow water platforms and epeiric settings,the influence of local to regional parameters on carbon cycling may lead to DIG isotope variations unrelated to the global carbon *** may be especially true for the terminal Neoproterozoic,when Gondwana assembly isolated waters masses from the global ocean,and extreme positive and negative carbon isotope excursions are recorded,potentially decoupled from global *** improve our understanding on the type of information recorded by these excursions,we investigate the pairedδ^13Ccarb andδ^13Corg evolution for an increasingly restricted late Ediacaran-Cambrian foreland system in the West Gondwana interior:the basal Bambui *** succession represents a 1~(st)-order sedimentary sequence and records two majorδ^13Ccarb excursions in its two lowermost lower-rank *** basal cap carbonate interval at the base of the first sequence,deposited when the basin was connected to the ocean,hosts antithetical negative and positive excursions forδ^13Ccarb andδ^13Corg,respectively,resulting inΔ^13C values lower than 25‰.From the top of the basal sequence upwards,an extremely positiveδ^13Ccarb excursion is coupled toδ^13Corg,reaching values of+14‰and-14‰,*** positive excursion represents a remarkable basin-wide carbon isotope feature of the Bambui Group that occurs with only minor changes inΔ^13C values,suggesting change in the DIC isotope *** argue that this regional isotopic excursion is related to a disconnection between the intrabasinal and the global carbon *** extreme carbon isotope excursion may have been a product of a disequilibria between the basin DIC and atmospheric CO2

Local and central governments are concerned to develop fiscal policies that are based on principles already enshrined in the literature as the principle of equity and/or the principle of fiscal appropriateness. Beyond these principles, the governments want to make sure that all taxpayers have the capacity to pay at maturity the tax debts owed to the public budget. In crisis situations, as recent experience has shown, governments adopt fiscal policy measures, with the sole purpose of procuring financial resources to cover the huge government budget deficits. In this situation, a natural question arises： Do governments need, for the elaboration of their fiscal policy, an analysis that takes into account the taxpayer＇s budget？ Or is it sufficient that they confine only to the theoretical principles enshrined in the literature or the tax paying ability of the taxpayers？ The answer can only be affirmative, because any taxpayer＇s budget is an inexhaustible source of resources for the public budgets. It is undisputed that in the taxpayer＇s budget, the tax expenditures coexist with other categories of expenditures such as consumption expenditures, durable expenditures and public utilities expenditures. Each expenditure type is risk-bearing. To study the structure of budget expenditures within the taxpayer, the authors suggest the use of three indicators innovative for the science of public finance： the risk, the sensitivity coefficient and the coefficient of volatility. Depending on the values registered by the three indicators of fiscal policies, expenditures can be classified as risky, volatile and sensitive which may lead to risks of failure to collect the taxes and/or to tax evasion. Innovative for the science of public finances is that the fundamentation of the fiscal policies is realized using the three indicators, the budget of the taxpayer and the networking between the categories of expenditures that fall within its budget structure

Chiral nanomaterials with intrinsic chirality or spatial asymmetry at the nanoscale are currently in the limelight of both fundamental research and diverse important technological applications due to their unprecedented physicochemical characteristics such as intense light-matter interactions, enhanced circular dichroism, and strong circularly polarized luminescence. Herein, we provide a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art advances in liquid crystal-templated chiral nanomaterials. The chiroptical properties of chiral nanomaterials are touched, and their fundamental design principles and bottom-up synthesis strategies are discussed. Different chiral functional nanomaterials based on liquid-crystalline soft templates, including chiral plasmonic nanomaterials and chiral luminescent nanomaterials, are systematically introduced, and their underlying mechanisms, properties, and potential applications are emphasized. This review concludes with a perspective on the emerging applications, challenges, and future opportunities of such fascinating chiral nanomaterials. This review can not only deepen our understanding of the fundamentals of soft-matter chirality, but also shine light on the development of advanced chiral functional nanomaterials toward their versatile applications in optics, biology, catalysis, electronics, and beyond.

The chemical and mineral compositions of bauxite recovered from the Severoonezhsk Bauxite Mine(Arkhangelsk region,Russia)were studied by XRD,ICP-OES,TG/DSC,SEM,TEM,and Mössbauer *** iron-containing minerals of the bauxites were found to comprise alumogoethite(α-Fe_(1−x)Al_(x)OOH),alumohematite(α-(Fe_(1−x)Al_(x))_(2)O_(3)),alumoakaganeite(β-Fe_(1−x)Al_(x)O(OH,Cl)),and chromite(FeCr_(2)O_(4)).The efficiency of Fe extraction from the bauxite by HCl leaching was 82.5%at 100℃,HCl concentration of 10%,solid/liquid ratio of 1:10,and the process duration of 60 min,with aluminum loss from the bauxites below 4.5%of the total Al contents in the *** of the kinetics of the iron leaching process proved diffusion to be the limiting stage of the process at 90−100℃.Bauxite residue after leaching presented traces of α-Fe_(1−x)Al_(x)OOH and β-Fe_(1−x)Al_(x)O(OH,Cl),and most of the iron content was in the FeCr_(2)O_(4).In bauxite residue after HCl leaching,in addition to iron oxide,the contents of chromium and calcium oxides significantly *** iron chloride liquor after leaching contained the rare earth elements(REE)of 6.8 mg/L Sc,4.1 mg/L Ce and 2.3 mg/L Ga.
