In this note the velocity field and the adequate shear stress corresponding to the unsteady flow of a frac- tional maxwell fluid due to a constantly accelerating circular cylinder have been determined by means of the Laplace and finite Hankel transforms. The obtained solutions satisfy all imposed initial and boundary conditions. They can easily be reduced to give similar solutions for ordinary maxwell and Newtonian fluids. Finally, the influence of pertinent param- eters on the fluid motion, as well as a comparison between models, is underlined by graphical illustrations.

The functional materials based on natural zeolite （clinoptilolite）, TiO2-zeolite and Ag-TiO2-zeolite have been successfully synthesized by solid-state reaction in fast-hydrothermal conditions. The obtained functional materials were investigated by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, FT-1R （Fourier transform infrared） spectroscopy, DRUV-VIS （diffuse reflectance ultraviolet-visible） spectroscopy, BET （Brunauer-Emmett-Teller） and SEm/EDX （scanning electron microscope/energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer） analyses. The XRD results indicated that the clinoptilolite structure has a good thermal stabilization after the fast-hydrothermal treatment. Also, the high specific surface area about 92.55 m^2.g^-1 was noticed for Ag-TiO2-zeolite functional material. The presence of dopants was evidenced from EDX spectra. The enhanced bactericidal activity of Ag-TiO2-zeolite catalyst is proved through damaging of Enterococcusfaecalis colonies under visible irradiation, at different material doses and irradiation times.

The G?ksun(Kahramanmaras)ophiolite(GKO),cropping out in a tectonic window bounded by the malatya metamorphic unit on both the north and south,is located in the EW-trending lower nappe zone of the southeast Anatolian orogenic belt(Turkey).It exhibits a complete oceanic lithospheric section and overlies the middle Eocene maden Group/Complex with a tectonic contact at its *** ophiolitic rocks and the tectonically overlying malatya metamorphic(continental)unit were intruded by I-type calc-alkaline Late Cretaceous granitoid(~81-84 ma).The ultramafic to cumulates in the GKO are represented by wehrlite,plagioclase wehrlite,olivine gabbro and *** crystallization order for the cumulate rocks is as follows:olivine±chromian spinel→clinopyroxene→*** major and trace element geochemistry as well as the mineral chemistry of the ultramafic to mafic cumulate rocks suggest that the primary magma generating the GKO is compositionally similar to that observed in the modern island-arc tholeiitic *** mineral chemistry of the ultramafic to mafic cumulates indicates that they were derived from a mantle source that was previously depleted by earlier partial melting *** highly magnesian olivine(Fo77-83),clinopyroxene(mg#of 82-90)and the highly Ca-plagioclase(An81-89)exhibit a close similarity to those,which formed in a supra-subduction zone(SSZ)*** field and the geochemical evidence suggest that the GKO formed as part of a much larger sheet of oceanic lithosphere,which accreted to the base of the Tauride active continental margin,including the ispendere,K?mürhan and the Guleman *** latter were contemporaneous and genetically/tectonically related within the same SSZ setting during the closure of the Neotethyan oceanic basin(Berit Ocean)between the Taurides to the north and the Bitlis-Pütürge massif to the south during the Late Cretaceous.

A drug of abuse, Foxy or methoxy Foxy gained popularity among recreational users as an alternative to mDmA (Ecstasy). Considerable research into the consequences of mDmA use is available, yet much remains unknown about the neurobiological consequences of Foxy use. In addition, research into the long-term neuropsychological repercussions associated with these two compounds remains incomplete. The goal of the present research was to explore the effects of mDmA or Foxy on cognitive processes associated with adolescent exposure considered over much of the lifespan. Here we investigated whether the reported effects following adolescent exposure resolved in early adulthood or continued throughout life. The protocol involved repeated doses of either mDmA or Foxy during the period defined as mid-adolescence (postnatal days 34 - 46) in rats, followed by the use of four series of learning and memory tasks repeated at different points in the rodent lifespan. At four time points in adulthood, the animals were trained and tested on a on a series of spatial and non-spatial memory tasks designed to assess the impact and severity of Foxy and mDmA. Oddly, mDmA-treated rats were impaired on a step down passive avoidance task. The performance of the drug-treated rats was markedly inferior to that of the control animals on more demanding water maze tasks, with some results suggesting a lack of flexibility in adapting to changing task demands. mDmA rats were the most impaired. While some persistent cognitive deficits were found, no significant group differences in serotonin or dopamine levels were found in any of the measured regions of the brain changes, cortical or subcortical. These results provide evidence for compromised neurocognition that continues long after drug exposure in the absence of any discernable changes in neurotransmitter levels. Several possible physiological and neurochemical mechanisms associated with these compounds requiring further study are also outlined.

BACKGROUND Individuals with heart failure(HF) frequently experience limitations in mobility, but specific aspects of these limitations are not well understood. This study investigated the association of HF severity, based on the New York Heart Association(NYHA) classes, with digital mobility outcomes(DmOs) and handgrip strength in older inpatients with *** For this explorative analysis, hospital admission and discharge data from an ongoing, prospective cohort study were used. The sample included older participants with HF and a sub-sample of heart-healthy individuals. Participants were equipped with a wearable inertial measurement unit(ImU) system during mobility performance(balancing, sit-to-stand transfer,walking). We analyzed the association between 17 DmOs and HF severity with multiple linear regression *** The total sample included 61 older participants(65–97 years of age, 55.7% female). Of all DmOs, only sway path in a semi-tandem stance position(m/s^(2)) showed a relevant association with NYHA classes(admission: β =-0.28, P = 0.09;discharge:β =-0.39, P = 0.02). Handgrip strength showed a trend towards a significant association(admission: β =-0.15, P = 0.10;discharge:β =-0.15, P = 0.19).CONCLUSIONS This is to our best knowledge the first analysis on the association of HF severity and ImU-based DmOs. Sway path and handgrip strength may be the most promising parameters for monitoring mobility aspects in treatment of HF.

The influence of the drop-casted nickel boride catalyst loading on glassy carbon electrodes was investigated in a spectroelectrochemical ATR-FTIR thin-film flow cell applied in alkaline glycerol *** continuously operated radial flow cell consisted of a borehole electrode positioned 50μm above an internal reflection element enabling operando FTIR *** is identified as a suitable tool for facile and reproducible screening of electrocatalysts under well-defined conditions,additionally providing access to the selectivities in complex reaction networks such as glycerol *** fast product identification by ATR-IR spectroscopy was validated by the more time-consuming quantitative HPLC analysis of the pumped *** degrees of glycerol conversion were achieved under the applied laminar flow conditions using 0.1 m glycerol and 1 m KOH in water and a flow rate of 5μL min^(–1).Conversion and selectivity were found to depend on the catalyst loading,which determined the catalyst layer thickness and *** highest loading of 210μg cm^(–2)resulted in 73%conversion and a higher formate selectivity of almost 80%,which is ascribed to longer residence times in rougher films favoring readsorption and C–C bond *** lowest loading of 13μg cm^(–2)was sufficient to reach 63%conversion,a lower formate selectivity of 60%,and,correspondingly,higher selectivities of C_(2)species such as glycolate amounting to 8%.Thus,only low catalyst loadings resulting in very thin films in the fewμm thickness range are suitable for reliable catalyst screening.
