Recent advancements in recanalizing therapies,i.e.,the combination of thrombolytic drugs with interventional thrombectomy,have considerably improved neurological outcome in ischemic stroke *** this progress,the large majority of stroke patients still exhibit neurological deficits in the long run,and ischemic stroke continues to be the most frequent cause of long-term ***,there is an unmet need for therapies that allow enhancing neurological recovery and brain plasticity in the post-acute stroke phase(Hermann and Chopp,2012).Preclinical studies,e.g.,delivering growth factors(Reitmeir et al.,2011)or neural precursor cells(NPC)(Bacigaluppi et al.,2016),have shown that brain plasticity can be successfully stimulated in the post-acute stroke phase,resulting in functional neurological *** findings raised the question whether it is possible to promote neurological recovery and brain plasticity in stroke patients.

CO_(2) conversion into value-added products by electro-, photoand plasma catalysis under mild operating conditions(ambient temperature and pressure) is an emerging area to achieve carbon circularity by producing chemicals and fuels using directly renewable energy. Among all CO_(2) conversion approaches, the electrocatalytic reduction of CO_(2) is the most mature technology, capable of achieving high productivity(i.e. high current densities) at large scale, especially for producing carbon monoxide(CO), but with many examples showing selectivity to C_(2) carbon products.

In this review we study the nuclear pastas as they are expected to be formed in neutron star *** start with a study of the pastas formed in nuclear matter(composed of protons and neutrons),we follow with the role of the electron gas on the formation of pastas,and we then investigate the pastas in neutron star matter(nuclear matter embedded in an electron gas).Nuclear matter(NM)at intermediate temperatures(1 MeV≤T≤***),at saturation and and sub-saturation densities,and with proton content ranging from 30%to 50%was found to have liquid,gaseous and liquid-gas mixed *** isospin-dependent phase diagram was obtained along with the critical points,and the symmetry energy was calculated and compared to experimental data and other *** low temperatures(T≤1 MeV)NM produces crystal-like structures around satura-tion densities,and pasta-like structures at sub-saturation *** of the pasta structures were studied with cluster-recognition algorithms,caloric curve,the radial distribution function,the lindemann coefficient,Kolmogorov statistics,Minkowski functionals;the symmetry energy of the pasta showed a connection with its *** star matter(NSM)is nuclear matter embedded in an electron *** electron gas is included in the calculation by the inclusion of an screened Coulomb *** connect the NM pastas with those in neutron star matter(NSM),the role the strength and screening length of the Coulomb interaction have on the formation of the pastas in NM was *** was found to exist even without the presence of the electron gas,but the effect of the Coulomb interaction is to form more defined pasta structures,among other ***,it was determined that there is a minimal screening length for the developed structures to be independent of the cell *** star matter was found to have similar phases as NM,phase transitions,symmetry energy,structure function and thermal *** in NM,pasta f

The current approach to breast cancer rehabilitation is currently narrowly focused on addressing resultant problems such as lymphedema or shoulder *** to rehabilitation are reactive responses to these *** a step back and looking at the breast cancer intervention in totality,it becomes apparent that steps could be taken to minimize or actu-ally prevent some of the ensuing functional problems by proactively treating a breast cancer *** than waiting for problems to arise,immediately post-intervention or ideally pre-intervention and throughout intervention referral of an individual to rehabilitation could provide a supportive role in the functional progression of the ***,while most orthopedic rehabilitation focuses on the function of a particular joint,with the extensive impact of the breast cancer treatments on the soft tissue of the body without any specific intervention at a joint,it is imperative that we begin to shift our rehabilitation approach to focusing on the alterations of the soft tissue prior to addressing any functional limitations in the joints,with the most common victim being the shoulder *** novel approach to breast cancer rehabilitation sug-gests initially addressing soft tissue *** these limitations begin to resolve as optimally as possible,secondary consideration is then given to functional limitations of a joint such as the shoulder joint.

Perovskite oxides offer tremendous potential for applications in information storage and energy conversion,owing to a subtle interplay between their spin,charge,orbital and lattice degrees of ***,we further expand the possible range of perovskite oxides operation towards the fields of thermal management and thermal computing by exploiting an exceptional synergy between different ferroic *** propose dynamical control of the heat flow in a distinctive family of perovskite oxides obtained via the application of small electric(~10 kV/cm)and/or magnetic(~1 T)*** on first-principles simulations,we predict a relative heat conductivity variation of~100%in SrMnO_(3) thin films near room temperature resulting from a phase transition that involves huge changes in both the magnetization and electric *** disclosed giant multiphononic effects are fundamentally caused by anharmonic spin-phonon couplings that strongly influence the mean lifetime of phonons.

BACKGROUND： The necessity to obtain a tissue diagnosis of cancer prior to pancreatic surgery still remains an open debate. In fact, a non-negligible percentage of patients under- going pancreaticoduodenectomy （PD） for suspected cancer has a benign lesion at final histology. We describe an approach for patients with diagnostic uncertainty between cancer and chronic pancreatitis, with the aim of minimizing the incidence of PD for suspicious malignancy finally diagnosed as benign disease. METHODS： Eighty-eight patients （85.4%） with a clinicoradio- logical picture highly suggestive for malignancy received for- mal PD （group 1）. Fifteen patients （14.6%） in whom preopera- tive diagnosis was uncertain between pancreatic cancer and chronic pancreatitis underwent pancreatic head excavation （PHEX） for intraoperative tissue diagnosis （group 2）： those diagnosed as having cancer received PD, whereas those with chronic pancreatitis received pancreaticojejunostomy （P]）. RESUlTS： No patient received PD for benign disease. All pa- tients in group I had adenocarcinoma on final histology. Eight patients of group 2 （53.3%） received PD after intraoperative diagnosis of cancer, whereas 7 （46.7%） received PJ because no malignancy was found at introperative frozen sections. No signs of cancer were encountered in patients receiving PHEX and PJ after a median follow-up of 42 months. Overall survival did not differ between patients receiving PD for cancer in the group 1 and those receiving PD for cancer after PHEX in the group 2 （P=0.509）. CONClUSION： Although the described technique has been used in a very selected group of patients, our results suggest that PHEX for tissue diagnosis may reduce rates of unnecessary PD, when the preoperative diagnosis is uncertain between cancer and chronic pancreatitis.
