AIM:To evaluate the application value of multi-slice spiral computed tomography(MSCT)for imaging determination of metastatic lymph nodes of gastric cancer and to explore reasonable diagnostic ***:Sixty patients with gastric cancer underwent 64 MSCT scans before *** cancer samples and perigastric lymph nodes were obtained after operation,formalin fixation and haematoxylineosin *** metastatic conditions of gastric cancer and perigastric lymph nodes were determined under a light microscope.A total of 605 lymph nodes were grouped and assessed according to distribution,size,shape and degree of lymph node ***,the findings were compared with the postoperative pathological ***:Among 605 lymph nodes,358 were confirmed as metastatic,accounting for 59.2%.A total of535 lymph nodes were detected in original axis images combined with multiplanar reconstruction images of *** metastatic lymph nodes had specific signs in computed *** study showed that the long diameter of lymph nodes≥8 mm indicated metastasis;the sensitivity and specificity were 79.6%and78.8%,*** difference of the mean value of lymph node enhancement density≥80 Hu indicated metastasis;the sensitivity and specificity were81.6%and 75.6%,*** ratio of short diameter to long diameter of lymph nodes≥0.7 indicated metastasis;the sensitivity and specificity were85.6%and 71.8%,***:MSCT is a non-invasive and reliable method for preoperative examination of gastric *** and specificity for prediction of lymph node metastasis are high.

Background Helical tomotherapy （HT） is a new image-guided intensity-modulated radiation therapy （IMRT） technique. It is reported that HT plan for non-small-cell lung cancer （NSCLC） can give better dose uniformity, dose gradients, and protection for the lung than IMRT plan. We compared the dosimetric characteristics of HT for NSCLC with those of conventional IMRT to observe the superiority of HT. Methods There was a comparative case series comprising 10 patients with NSCLC. Computed tomographic （CT） images of delineated targets were transferred to the PrecisePlan planning system （IMRT） and Tomo planning system （HT）. Reducing the secondary inflammatory response, which is partly mediated by microglia, is a key focus in the treatment of spinal cord injury. Src homology 2-containing protein tyrosine phosphatase 2(SHP2), encoded by PTPN11, is widely expressed in the human body and plays a role in inflammation through various mechanisms. Therefore, SHP2 is considered a potential target for the treatment of inflammation-related diseases. However, its role in secondary inflammation after spinal cord injury remains unclear. In this study, SHP2 was found to be abundantly expressed in microglia at the site of spinal cord injury. Inhibition of SHP2 expression using siRNA and SHP2 inhibitors attenuated the microglial inflammatory response in an in vitro lipopolysaccharide-induced model of inflammation. Notably, after treatment with SHP2 inhibitors, mice with spinal cord injury exhibited significantly improved hind limb locomotor function and reduced residual urine volume in the bladder. Subsequent in vitro experiments showed that, in microglia stimulated with lipopolysaccharide, inhibiting SHP2 expression promoted M2 polarization and inhibited M1 polarization. Finally, a co-culture experiment was conducted to assess the effect of microglia treated with SHP2 inhibitors on neuronal cells. The results demonstrated that inflammatory factors produced by microglia promoted neuronal apoptosis, while inhibiting SHP2 expression mitigated these effects. Collectively, our findings suggest that SHP2 enhances secondary inflammation and neuronal damage subsequent to spinal cord injury by modulating microglial phenotype. Therefore, inhibiting SHP2 alleviates the inflammatory response in mice with spinal cord injury and promotes functional recovery postinjury.

Lunar Penetrating Radar（LPR） has successfully been used to acquire a large amount of scientific data during its in-situ detection. The analysis of penetrating depth can help to determine whether the target is within the effective detection range and contribute to distinguishing useful echoes from ***, this study introduces two traditional methods, both based on a radar transmission equation, to calculate the penetrating depth. The only difference between the two methods is that the first method adopts system calibration parameters given in the calibration report and the second one uses high-voltage-off radar data. However, some prior knowledge and assumptions are needed in the radar equation and the accuracy of assumptions will directly influence the final results. Therefore, a new method termed the Correlation Coefficient Method（CCM） is provided in this study, which is only based on radar data without any a priori assumptions. The CCM can obtain the penetrating depth according to the different correlation between reflected echoes and noise. To be exact, there is a strong correlation in the useful reflected echoes and a random correlation in the noise between adjacent data traces. In addition, this method can acquire a variable penetrating depth along the profile of the rover, but only one single depth value can be obtained from traditional methods. Through a simulation, the CCM has been verified as an effective method to obtain penetration depth. The comparisons and analysis of the calculation results of these three methods are also implemented in this study. Finally, results show that the ultimate penetrating depth of Channel 1 and the estimated penetrating depth of Channel 2 range from 136.9 m to 165.5 m（ε_r = 6.6） and from 13.0 m to 17.5 m（ε_r = 2.3）, respectively.

Degenerative cervical myelopathy is a common cause of spinal cord injury,with longer symptom duration and higher myelopathy severity indicating a worse *** numerous studies have investigated serological biomarkers for acute spinal cord injury,few studies have explored such biomarkers for diagnosing degenerative cervical *** study involved 30 patients with degenerative cervical myelopathy(51.3±7.3 years old,12 women and 18 men),seven healthy controls(25.7±1.7 years old,one woman and six men),and nine patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(51.9±8.6 years old,three women and six men).Analysis of blood samples from the three groups showed clear differences in transcriptomic *** analysis identified 128 differentially expressed genes that were enriched in patients with neurological *** least absolute shrinkage and selection operator analysis,we constructed a five-gene model(TBCD,TPM2,PNKD,EIF4G2,and AP5Z1)to diagnose degenerative cervical myelopathy with an accuracy of 93.5%.One-gene models(TCAP and SDHA)identified mild and severe degenerative cervical myelopathy with accuracies of 83.3%and 76.7%,*** of two immune cell types(memory B cells and memory-activated CD4^(+)T cells)predicted levels of lesions in degenerative cervical myelopathy with 80%*** results suggest that peripheral blood RNA biomarkers could be used to predict lesion severity in degenerative cervical myelopathy.
