KeyEE:Enhancing Low-Resource Generative Event Extraction with Auxiliary Keyword Sub-Prompt

Event Extraction(EE)is a key task in information extraction,which requires high-quality annotated data that are often costly to *** classification-based methods suffer from low-resource scenarios due to the lack of label semantics and fine-grained *** recent approaches have endeavored to address EE through a more data-efficient generative process,they often overlook event keywords,which are vital for *** tackle these challenges,we introduce KeyEE,a multi-prompt learning strategy that improves low-resource event extraction by Event Keywords Extraction(EKE).We suggest employing an auxiliary EKE sub-prompt and concurrently training both EE and EKE with a shared pre-trained language *** the auxiliary sub-prompt,KeyEE learns event keywords knowledge implicitly,thereby reducing the dependence on annotated ***,we investigate and analyze various EKE sub-prompt strategies to encourage further research in this *** experiments on benchmark datasets ACE2005 and ERE show that KeyEE achieves significant improvement in low-resource settings and sets new state-of-the-art results.

The rates of electron exchange between oxidized and reduced forms of sev- eral derivatives of ferrocene(1-3)have been measured in acetonitrile by the NMR line h(?)oadening method at 25℃。It was found that the r(?)tes vary with the lengtn of the substitutent chain and the potential of E_(Fe(Ⅲ)/Fe(Ⅱ))in the ferrocene derivatives.

Living crystallization-driven self-assembly(CDSA)provides robust access to uniformπ-conjugated nanostructures(CNSs)from block copolymers(BCPs)containing a crystallineπ-conjugated segment with controlled dimension,morphology and composition,which show appealing applications in biomedicine,photocatalysis and *** further expand the application spectrum of these CNSs,the development of facile strategies toward diverse CNSs with varying structures/functionalities is highly ***,BCPs consisting of oligo(p-phenylene ethynylene)-b-poly(polypropyl-3-methanethiol acrylate)(OPE_(9)-bPMTPA35and OPE_(9)-b-PMTPA_(58);the subscript represents the number of repeat unit of each block)consisting of a crystallineπ-conjugated core-forming OPE_(9)segment and a corona-forming PMTPA block are *** efficient“click-type”alkylation of methylthio groups,OPE_(9)-b-PMTPA with varying contents of sulfonium unit is *** ribbon-like micelles with different widths and lengths can then be generated in a controlled manner via the self-seeding approach of living ***,negatively charged polymeric and Ag nanoparticles can be immobilized on sulfonium/methylthio-containing shells by taking advantage of electrostatic attraction and coordination interaction,***,the ribbon-like micelles with positively charged shells exhibit antibacterial activity against *** the ease of modification of PMTPA-based shell and attractive opto-electronic/photocatalytic properties ofπ-conjugated units,the combination of methylthio-chemistry and living CDSA opens a new avenue to generate multi-functional CNSs for widespread applications from biomedicine to photocatalysis.

This paper studies the optimal portfolio allocation of a fund manager when he bases decisions on both the absolute level of terminal relative performance and the change value of terminal relative performance comparison to a predefined reference point. We find the optimal investment strategy by maximizing a weighted average utility of a concave utility and an Sshaped utility via a concavification technique and the martingale method. Numerical results are carried out to show the impact of the extent to which the manager pays attention to the change of relative performance related to the reference point on the optimal terminal relative performance.

Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a complicated neurodegenerative disease,characterized by the accumulation ofα-synuclein(α-syn)in Lewy bodies and neurites,and massive loss of midbrain dopamine *** evidence suggests that gut microbiota and microbial metabolites are involved in the development of *** these,short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs),the most abundant microbial metabolites,have been proven to play a key role in brain-gut *** this review,we analyze the role of SCFAs in the pathology of PD from multiple dimensions and summarize the alterations of SCFAs in PD patients as well as their correlation with motor and non-motor *** research should focus on further elucidating the role of SCFAs in neuroinflammation,as well as developing novel strategies employing SCFAs and their derivatives to treat PD.

Dear Editor,COVID-19 inactivated vaccines have been extensively administered ***,the majority of the Chinese population has experiencedbreakthrough infections from SARS-CoV-2 ancestral,Delta or Omicronvariants over the past three years,particularly during the wave of Omicron BA.5 and BA.7 variants at the end of 2022(Zhu et al.,2023).Subsequently,new Omicron variants,such as BQ.1,BQ.1.1,XBB,XBB.1/XBB.1.9,and XBB.1.5/XBB.1.9.1,are emerging in China(Yueetal.,2023;Zhu et al.,2023).Therefore,it is an urgentneed and a publichealth imperative to assess the extent of the immunoprotection established in this population.
