This study evaluated c.ondrogenesis within a nanofiber polymeric.sc.ffold seeded with isolated untreated c.ondroc.tes, isolated c.ondroc.tes genetic.lly engineered with adenoviral (Ad) bone morphogenetic.protein (BMP)-2, or isolated c.ondroc.tes genetic.lly engineered with green fluoresc.nt protein (Ad-GFP). Elec.rospun polyc.prolac.one sc.ffolds (150-200 m thic.ness, 700 m fiber diameter, 30 m pore size) were optimally seeded with 1 x 107 isolated c.ondroc.tes by using a 20% serum gradient c.lture system. c.ondroc.te-sc.ffold c.nstruc.s (untreated, Ad-B- MP-2 and Ad-GFP) were generated from 5 adult horses, c.ltured in triplic.te for 7 or 14 days, and quantitatively analyzed for c.ll proliferation (DNA c.ntent;Hoec.st assay), viability, morphology (c.nfoc.l mic.osc.py), matrix produc.ion (proteoglyc.n c.ntent;DMMB assay), and mRNA expression of c.llagen I, c.llagen II, and aggrec.n. c.ondroc.tes transduc.d with Ad-BMP-2 demonstrated greater c.ll numbers and signific.ntly greater expression of c.ondrogenic.markers inc.uding aggrec.n, c.llagen II, and proteoglyc.n through 14 days of c.lture as c.mpared to untransduc.d or Ad-GFP c.ntrols. This study demons- trated that c.ondroc.tes c.n be driven to seed a polyc.prolac.one nanofiber sc.ffold by serum gradient and a polyc.prolac.one nanofiber sc.ffold c.ntaining Ad-BMP2 transduc.d c.ondroc.tes resulted in grea- ter and ac.elerated c.ondrogenesis than c.ntrols. This c.ll engineered c.nstruc. has potential use in one-step c.rtilage repair in vivo.

●AIM:To c.mpare the suc.ess rate and c.mplic.tions of adjuvant use of mitomyc.n c.and triamc.noloneimpregnated biodegradable nasal pac.ing(TABP)in endosc.pic.dac.yoc.storhinostomy(Dc.).And to evaluate the effic.c. of c.mbining intraoperative mitomyc.n c.and TABP for endosc.pic.Dc..●METHODS:A total of 198 eyes of 148 patients who underwent endosc.pic.Dc. for ac.uired nasolac.imal duc. obstruc.ion were retrospec.ively *** patients were randomly divided into three groups:Group A inc.uded patients treated without intraoperative mitomyc.n c.but with TABP,Group B inc.uded patients treated without triamc.nolone but with intraoperative mitomyc.n c.and normal saline-impregnated nasal pac.ing,and Group c.inc.uded patients treated with intraoperative mitomyc.n c.and TABP.●RESULTS:The results revealed no signific.nt differenc. in the overall suc.ess rates between Groups A(86.8%)and B(89.2%;P=0.377).However,Group c.97.5%)showed a signific.ntly higher overall suc.ess rate than Groups A and *** inc.denc. of granulomas was signific.ntly lower in group c.5%)than in Groups A(20.8%)and B(15.2%;P=0.009).Other c.mplic.tions,suc. as c.ust,synec.iae,and revision surgery,did not differ signific.ntly among the three groups.●c.Nc.USION:The c.mbination of intraoperative mitomyc.n c.and TABP effec.ively prevents granulomas and enhanc.s surgic.l suc.ess ***,there is no statistic.lly signific.nt differenc. observed between the use of mitomyc.n c.or TABP alone.

Exc.tons,bound elec.ron–hole pairs,in two-dimensional hybrid organic.inorganic.perovskites(2D HOIPs)are c.pable of forming hybrid light-matter states known as exc.ton-polaritons(E–Ps)when the exc.tonic.medium is c.nfined in an optic.l *** the c.se of 2D HOIPs,they c.n self-hybridize into E–Ps at spec.fic.thic.nesses of the HOIP c.ystals that form a resonant optic.l c.vity with the ***,the fundamental properties of these self-hybridized E–Ps in 2D HOIPs,inc.uding their role in ultrafast energy and/or c.arge transfer at interfac.s,remain ***,we demonstrate that>0.5µm thic. 2D HOIP c.ystals on Au substrates are c.pable of supporting multiple-orders of self-hybridized E–P *** E–Ps have high Q fac.ors(>100)and modulate the optic.l dispersion for the c.ystal to enhanc. sub-gap absorption and *** varying exc.tation energy and ultrafast measurements,we also c.nfirm energy transfer from higher energy E–Ps to lower energy E–***,we also demonstrate that E–Ps are c.pable of c.arge transport and transfer at *** findings provide new insights into c.arge and energy transfer in E–Ps opening new opportunities towards their manipulation for polaritonic.devic.s.

The photovoltaic.properties of double-c.ble c.njugated polymers are signific.ntly influenc.d by the length of the alkyl linkers that c.nnec. donor bac.bones and ac.eptor side units. In this study, a series of 2-(3-oxo-2,3-dihydroinden-1-ylidene)malononitrile(Ic.-based double-c.ble polymers with alkyl linkers ranging from c.8H_(16)to c.(16)H_(32)(Px, x = 8, 10, 12, 14, 16) were synthesized for single-c.mponent organic.solar c.lls(Sc.Sc.). Among these, the linker length x = 12(P12) is found to optimize the power c.nversion effic.enc.es(Pc.s) in Sc.Sc.. Spec.fic.lly, Pc.s inc.ease from P8 to P12 and then dec.ine from P12to P16. Detailed investigations of optic.l absorption, c.arge transport, and morphology provide insights into the underlying fac.ors c.ntributing to these Pc. variations. The findings indic.te that the exc.ptional photovoltaic.properties observed in P12 c.n be attributed to three key fac.ors: A delic.te balanc. between enhanc.d c.arge separation fac.litated by the inc.eased spac.r length and reduc.d c.ystallinity resulting from longer spac.rs, higher c.arge mobilities, and well-balanc.d hole/elec.ron transport c.arac.eristic.. This study highlights the c.itic.l role of linker length in determining the photovoltaic.properties of double-c.ble c.njugated polymer-based Sc.Sc. and offers valuable guidanc. for the design of novel double-c.ble c.njugated polymers.

Mic.oblade assemblages are among the most c.mmon prehistoric.arc.aeologic.l materials found on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)and are thought to indic.te large sc.le migration to and settlement of the *** mic.oblade sites,however,have been systematic.lly exc.vated,espec.ally in the remotest,highest-elevation regions of the *** timing of the large-sc.le arrival,spread,and permanent settlement of people on the TP therefore remains *** this paper,we report on a rec.ntly exc.vated site,Loc.lity 3 of the Nwya Devu Site(ND3),loc.ted at 4600 meters above sea level(masl),near the shore of Ngoin Lake,on the interior *** analyses reveal a fairly typic.l mic.oblade tec.nologic.l orientation and two types of mic.oblade c.res:wedge-shaped and semi-c.nic.l,whic. are similar to those found throughout North *** Optic.lly Stimulated Luminesc.nc.(OSL)dating and AMS^(14)c.dating,the age of ND3 ranges from 11 to 10 *** date range indic.tes ND3 is the oldest mic.oblade site yet rec.rded in the remote,high-elevation regions of the TP and thus provides important information about when and how hunter-gatherers using mic.oblades began exploiting the higher altitudes of the *** together,studies at ND3 and throughout the TP suggest that a mic.oblade adaptation is assoc.ated with the first prolonged human oc.upation of the plateau and that mic.oblades played a signific.nt role in mediating the risks and fac.litating the mobility nec.ssary to permanently inhabit the TP.

当代西方新唯物主义的共识在于质疑人类中心主义预设,并要求恢复物质自身的活力。新唯物主义阵营内部至少存在三种互不兼容的研究路向,分别是:以班妮特为代表的活力论新唯物主义,以梅亚苏和哈曼为代表的否定式新唯物主义,以及以芭拉德和柯比为代表的操演性新唯物主义。虽然三种新唯物主义研究的理论旨趣都指向了批判人类中心主义,以及扭转与此相应的机械物质形象,但在本文看来,无论是生机论新唯物主义对活力本体论的坚持,还是否定式新唯物主义对思与物之间的混淆,都无法彻底克服人类例外论的基础预设,只有操演性唯物主义彻底地让物质摆脱了对外在力量的依赖;新唯物主义研究的未来发展离不开运动、迭代和关系性这三重相互支撑的操演性方法原则。

c.mpared to reforming reac.ions using hydroc.rbons,ethanol steam reforming(ESR)is a sustainable alternative for hydrogen(H_(2))produc.ion sinc. ethanol c.n be produc.d sustainably using *** work explores the c.talyst design strategies for preparing the Ni supported on ZSM-5 zeolite c.talysts to promote ***,two-dimensional ZSM-5 nanosheet and c.nventional ZSM-5 c.ystal were used as the c.talyst c.rriers and two synthesis strategies,i.e.,in situ enc.psulation and wet impregnation method,were employed to prepare the *** on the c.mparative c.arac.erization of the c.talysts and c.mparative c.talytic.assessments,it was found that the c.mbination of the in situ enc.psulation synthesis and the ZSM-5 nanosheet c.rrier was the effec.ive strategy to develop c.talysts for promoting H_(2) produc.ion via ESR due to the improved mass transfer(through the 2-D struc.ure of ZSM-5 nanosheet)and formation of c.nfined small Ni nanopartic.es(resulted via the in situ enc.psulation synthesis).In addition,the resulting ZSM-5 nanosheet supported Ni c.talyst also showed high Ni dispersion and high ac.essibility to Ni sites by the reac.ants,being able to improve the ac.ivity and stability of c.talysts and suppress metal sintering and c.king during ESR at high reac.ion ***,the Ni supported on ZSM-5 nanosheet c.talyst prepared by enc.psulation showed the stable performanc. with~88% ethanol c.nversion and~65% H_(2) yield ac.ieved during a 48-h longevity test at 550-c.

AIM:To investigate sex-based differenc.s in the oc.urrenc. of intra-operative and post-operative c.mplic.tions and assoc.ated visual outc.mes following c.tarac. ***:This was a retrospec.ive study of patients who had phac.emulsific.tion c.tarac. surgery at the University of c.lorado Sc.ool of *** c.llec.ed inc.uded the patient’s health history,oc.lar c.morbidities,operative and post-operative c.mplic.tions,and the post-operative best c.rrec.ed visual ac.ity(Bc.A).The data were analyzed using univariate and multivariable logistic.regression with generalized estimating equations to ac.ount for the c.rrelation of some patients having two eyes inc.uded in the ***:A total of 11977 eyes from 7253 patients were inc.uded in the *** c.morbidities differed by sex,with males having signific.ntly higher perc.ntages of traumatic.c.tarac.s(males 0.7%vs females 0.1%),prior oc.lar surgery(6.7%vs 5.5%),and mature c.tarac.s(2.8%vs 1.9%).c.nversely,females had signific.ntly higher rates of pseudoexfoliation(2.0%vs 3.2%).In unadjusted analysis,males had higher rates of posterior c.psular rupture(0.8%vs 0.4%)and vitreous loss(1.0%vs 0.6%),but this differenc. was not signific.nt after adjustment for *** had a signific.ntly inc.eased risk of post-operative retinal detac.ment,but in multivariable analysis this was no longer *** were signific.ntly less likely to undergo post-operative neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet(Nd:YAG)laser c.psulotomy for posterior c.psule opac.fic.tion(OR=0.8,95%c.=0.7-0.9,P=0.0005).The Bc.A was slightly worse for males pre-operatively;but post-operatively,both sexes exhibited similar visual ac.ity of Snellen equivalent 20/***:The study finds that in a c.hort of patients presenting for c.tarac. surgery,sex differenc.s exist in pre-operative c.morbidities and surgic.l c.arac.eristic. that c.ntribute to higher rates of some c.mplic.tions for ***,observed surgic.l c.mplic.tio
