In the era of the Internet of Things (IoT), the proliferation of connected devices has raised security concerns, increasing the risk of intrusions into diverse systems. Despite the convenience and efficiency offered by IoT technology, the growing number of IoT devices escalates the likelihood of attacks, emphasizing the need for robust security tools to automatically detect and explain threats. This paper introduces a deep learning methodology for detecting and classifying distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, addressing a significant security concern within IoT environments. An effective procedure of deep transfer learning is applied to utilize deep learning backbones, which is then evaluated on two benchmarking datasets of DDoS attacks in terms of accuracy and time complexity. By leveraging several deep architectures, the study conducts thorough binary and multiclass experiments, each varying in the complexity of classifying attack types and demonstrating real-world scenarios. Additionally, this study employs an explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) AI technique to elucidate the contribution of extracted features in the process of attack detection. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, achieving a recall of 99.39% by the XAI bidirectional long short-term memory (XAI-BiLSTm) model. Water stress is a critical environmental adversity that significantly impacts the growth, development, and yield of flax plants. In this study, flax seeds were cultivated under different water irrigation requirements (WIR) (100%, 75%, and 50%) to investigate the effects of exogenously supplied nitric oxide (NO) donor sodium nitroprusside (SNP) as foliar treatments at concentrations of 0.0 mmol/L, 0.5 mmol/L, 1.0 mmol/L, and 2.0 mmol/L. Drought stress led to a significant decrease in plant growth, photosynthetic pigments, yield components such as oil and total carbohydrate percentage. It also resulted in an increase in leaf H2O2 production, lipid peroxidation levels and activities of enzymatic antioxidants including polyphenol oxidase, superoxide dismutase, and nitrate reductase enzymes. However, foliar application of SNP improved photosynthetic pigments and antioxidant defense system which mitigated the negative impact of water stress on growth and yield productivity by reducing oxidative damage caused by reactive oxygen species accumulation. The use of SNP also decreased H2O2 accumulation levels, lipid peroxidation levels, and improved membrane stability. SNP treatment at concentration of 2 mmol/L showed superior results compared to other concentrations with extremely significant increases observed in yield characteristics such as oil content, total carbohydrate percentages, and unsaturated fatty acids to saturated fatty acids ratio. © 2024 the Oil Crop Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agriculture Sciences

Traumatic brain injury(TBI)is an acquired injury of the brain caused by the impact of external forces on the brain(maas et al.,2008).It is a major cause of death and disability among people of all ages(maas et al.,2008).The primary mechanical injury to the brain initiates a cascade of secondary biochemical events that lead to acute and chronic neurodegeneration and activation of inflammatory pathways(maas et al.,2008).Both brain-resident microglia and blood-derived myeloid cells-macrophages and monocytes that infiltrate the brain due to injury-induced blood-brain barrier damage,contribute to the inflammatory responses after TBI(morganti et al.,2015).

BACKGROUND:As advocated in advanced trauma life support and prehospital trauma life support protocols,cervical immobilization is applied until cervical spine injury is *** study aimed to show the difference in optic nerve sheath diameter(ONSD)between patients with and without a cervical collar using computed tomography(CT).mETHODS:This was a single-center,retrospective study examining trauma patients who presented to the emergency department between January 1,2021,and December 31,*** ONSD on brain CT of the trauma patients was measured and analyzed to determine whether there was a difference between the ONSD with and without the cervical ***:The study population consisted of 169 *** CT imaging of patients with(n=66)and without(n=103)cervical collars,the mean ONSD in the axial plane were 5.43±0.50 mm and 5.04±0.46 mm respectively for the right eye and 5.50±0.52 mm and 5.11±0.46 mm respectively for the left *** results revealed an association between the presence of a cervical collar and the mean ONSD,which was statistically significant(Pmay be associated with increased *** effect of this increase in the ONSD on clinical outcomes needs to be investigated,and the actual need for cervical collar in the emergency department should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

The KLOE experiment at the φ-factory DAФPNE has measured the pion form factor in the range between 0.1 〈 mππ^2 〈 0.85 GeV^2 using events taken at √s = 1 GeV with a photon emitted at large polar angles in the initial state. This measurement extends the mππ^2 region covered by KLOE ISR measurements of the pion form factor down to the two pion production threshold. The value obtained in this measurement of the dipion contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment of △αμ^ππ= （478.5±2-0stat±4.8syst±2.9theo）·10^-10 further confirms the discrepancy between the Standard model evaluation for αμ and the experimental value measured by the （g-2） collaboration at BNL.
