In situ tracking of the lithiation and sodiation process of disodium terephthalate as anodes for rechargeable batteries by Raman spectroscopy

Organic compounds represent an appealing group of electrode materials for rechargeable batteries due to their merits of biomass,sustainability,environmental friendliness,and *** terephthalate(Na_(2)C_(8)H_(4)O_(4),Na_(2)TP),an organic salt with a theoretical capacity of 255 mAh·g^(-1),is electroactive towards both lithium and ***,its electrochemical energy storage(EES)process has not been directly observed via in situ characterization techniques and the underlying mechanisms are still under ***,in situ Raman spectroscopy was employed to track the de/lithiation and de/sodiation processes of *** appearance and then disappearance of the–COOLi Raman band at 1625 cm^(-1) during the de/lithiation,and the increase and then decrease of the–COONa Raman band at 1615 cm^(-1) during the de/sodiation processes of Na2TP elucidate the one-step with the 2Li+or 2Na+transfer *** also found that the inferior cycling stability of Na2TP as an anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)than lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)could be due to the larger ion radium of Na+than Li+,which results in larger steric resistance and polarization during *** Na2TP,therefore,shows greater changes in spectra during de/sodiation than de/*** expect that our findings could provide a reference for the rational design of organic compounds for EES.

Hydrogen production from proton exchange membrane water electrolysis is constrained by the sluggish kinetics of the anodic oxygen evolution ***_(2)has attracted considerable attention due to its low reaction overpotential,but its inferior stability remains a major ***,a strategy is proposed to enhance the catalytic activity and stability of CoRuOx nanoparticles by doping Co and regulating the ordering degree of carbon nanotubes(CNTs)by air *** was found that the CoRuOx@CNTs-300 catalyst exhibited the best catalytic activity and stability when the annealing temperature was 300°*** the current density of 10 mA cm−2,the overpotential of this catalyst was only 201 mV,which was nearly 100 mV lower than that of commercial RuO_(2)(300 mV).Surprisingly,there was no significant increase in the overpotential when tested at a current density of 10 mA cm−2 for 50 *** density functional theory calculations indicate that the high activity of the catalyst is due to the electronic coupling of CoRuOx nanoparticles and CNTs,and that the introduction of Co and CNTs improves the electronic structure and solvation energies of the Ru in the active site,dramatically increasing the structural stability.

Cu_(3)SbSe_(4),a copper-based sulfide free of rare earth elements,has received extensive attention in ther-moelectric ***,its low carrier concentration restricts its widespread *** this study,a microwave-assisted solution synthesis method was used to produce samples of Cu_(3)SbSe_(4),which enabled the formation of CuSe in situ and increased the *** the use of first-principles cal-culations,structural analysis,and performance evaluation,it was found that CuSe can enhance the carrier concentration and that induced nano-defects have a positive effect on reducing the lattice thermal ***,doping with Sn decreases the band gap of the system and moves the Fermi level into the valence band,increasing the carrier concentration to 1.15×10^(-20)cm^(-3).Finally,the zT value of the Cu_(3)Sb_(0.98)Sn_(0.02)Se_(4)sample was achieved at 1.05 at 623 K when the theoretical yield of a single synthesis was 10 mmol.

Influence of sintering time on microstructure and properties of hot oscillatory pressing sintered W–Cu refractory alloys

W–Cu refractory alloys are widely used in aerospace,aviation,electronics,power,and other fi ***,because of its large melting point diff erence between alloy elements,the conventional powder metallurgy method required a long time of high temperature sintering is very likely to cause low density and abnormal grain size ***,90W-10Cu refractory alloys were successfully prepared by hot oscillatory pressing(HOP)under diff erent sintering time in this *** the infl uence of sintering time on the microstructure,grain size,density,Vickers hardness,room-tensile property,and electrical conductivity of the W–Cu refractory alloy was systematically *** results showed that during the short sintering time(30–90 min),the density,Vickers hardness,tensile strength,and electrical conductivity of the W–Cu refractory alloy increased signifi cantly to 98.7%,163.29 HV 30,507.3 MPa,and 14.2%International Annealed Copper Standard with the sintering time increasing,respectively,while its grain size showed no obvious *** the sintering time further increased to 120 min,the density was basically consistent with the sintering time of 90 ***,the prolonged high temperature sintering resulted in the grain growth of the samples,which caused the deterioration of the Vickers hardness,room-tensile strength,and conductivity properties of the W–Cu refractory *** the same sintering time,the density,Vickers hardness,and electrical conductivity of the HOP sintered W–Cu refractory alloy were signifi cantly higher than those of the HP sintered *** was indicated that high density,fi ne-grain,and excellent properties W–Cu refractory alloys could be prepared by hot oscillatory pressing under appropriate sintering time.

Low Surface Brightness Galaxies from BASS+MzLS with Machine Learning

From ∼5000 deg^(2) of the combination of the Beijing–Arizona Sky Survey and Mayall z-band Legacy Survey which is also the northern sky region of the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) Legacy Imaging Surveys, we selected a sample of 31,825 candidates of low surface brightness galaxies (LSBGs) with the mean effective surface brightness 24.2 0.60) LSBGs. The blue LSBGs appear spiral, disk or irregular while the red LSBGs are spheroidal or elliptical and spatially clustered. This trend shows that the color has a strong correlation with galaxy morphology for LSBGs. In the spatial distribution, the blue LSBGs are more uniformly distributed while the red ones are highly clustered, indicating that red LSBGs preferentially populate a denser environment than the blue LSBGs. Besides, both populations have a consistent distribution of ellipticity (median ∈∼ 0.3), half-light radius (median r_(eff) ∼ 4″) and Sérsic index (median n=1), implying the dominance of the full sample by the round and disk galaxies. This sample has definitely extended the studies of LSBGs to a regime of lower surface brightness, fainter magnitude and broader other properties than the previously Sloan Digital Sky Survey-based samples.

Research Progress of Intestinal Flora in Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer, as a common malignant tumor, has been increasing in incidence year by year and has become one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Meanwhile, researchers have found a close relationship between dysbiosis of the gut microbiota and colorectal cancer, which has further triggered indepth exploration of the role of gut microbiota in the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of colorectal cancer. Studies have shown that there are specific microbial changes in colorectal cancer tissues, including enrichment or depletion of certain bacterial species, which may be associated with tumor growth, invasion, and metastasis. Additionally, gut microbiota has been found to be closely linked to tumor microenvironment, tumor immune response, chemotherapy drug metabolism, and other factors. In this context, it is imperative to study the gut microbiota in colorectal cancer. A comprehensive understanding of the interaction between gut microbiota and colorectal cancer is not only helpful in revealing novel mechanisms of colorectal cancer development, but also holds promise in providing new strategies and targets for early diagnosis, individualized treatment, and prevention of colorectal cancer. This review aims to thoroughly discuss the research progress of gut microbiota in colorectal cancer, including its compositional characteristics, its role in the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer, and its potential clinical applications. The goal is to provide references and insights for further research in this field.

Mesenteric adipose tissue B lymphocytes promote intestinal injury in severe acute pancreatitis by mediating enteric pyroptosis

Artificial molecular muscles undergo well-controlled contractile and extensile motions upon external stimulation,leading to remarkable length *** such length changes at the molecular level is essential to the design of integrated artificial molecular muscles that mimic biological *** advantage of the strong contrast of platinum(Pt)atoms in high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy images,we imaged Pt-containing molecular[c2]daisy chains directly by employing metal atom *** length changes and associated conformational transformations of these newly developed artificial molecular muscles have been measured experimentally in combination with theoretical *** contraction ratios of these two molecular muscles with the TEMPO or pyrene anchoring group were calculated to be 21.0%or 15.7%respectively,suggesting a substantial anchoring *** study demonstrates the experimental measurement of the length changes of artificial molecular muscles and provides a new avenue for investigating the motion of artificial molecular machines.
