Minimizing the risk of community spread of COVID-19 via institutional quarantine of high-risk travelers with serial viral RNA testing: A successful experience from Macao SAR, China

Macao,a special administrative region(SAR)of the People’s Republic of China,is located in southern China and shares the border with China's *** is the most densely populated region in the world,with a population of 667400 and a total land area of 32.9 square kilometers in *** the first case diagnosed on January 22,2020,there was a total of 45 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)cases in Macao,of which 43 patients(96%)were imported *** date,all patients had been discharged successfully from Centro Hospitalar Conde de São Januário,a designated hospital to manage all COVID-19 patients in ***,no patient died,and no local community outbreak was *** opinion review describes the underlying factors that could have contributed to the successful experience in Macao SAR,China,which include the following:(1)Early implementation of containment measures;(2)Large-scale quarantine using hotel rooms to reduce the risk of a local outbreak;and(3)Multidisciplinary co-operation and transparency of information to the *** the successful experience in Macao SAR,China,may not be generalized to other regions,it should not be unreasonable to be well prepared with sufficient logistic support to conduct timely containment and early detection of episodic cases to prevent the backsliding of COVID-19 outbreak.

本论文的重点集中在研究万曼1986至1989三年间的创作,以艺术学及社会学的视野来展开对艺术家晚期创作中各种现象的探讨。在第一章,本文通过对万曼跨越地域与文化的艺术生涯的概略梳理,得出艺术家的总体的发展脉络和思想背景。第二章是以万曼二十世纪六十至七十年代创作成熟期所形成的艺术理念为通道,进入对艺术家晚期创作的分析与研究,从造型方法、材料语言及空间形态的角度来深入认识艺术家晚期创作的核心思想,总结出其开放的总体倾向。第三章及第四章作为本文的论述焦点,分别探讨了万曼晚期创作中最具代表性的组成部分——数百幅为准备个人新作展绘制的草图,以及艺术家生命中最后一组顶峰之作——《永恒的动力系列》两者的主要思想内涵。总的来讲,这批作品都彰显出一股处于极限顶点状态的空间张力,标志着万曼的晚期创作已抵达巅峰。它们承载着强大的生命意志,与艺术家炽热的生命一起走向了永恒。本论文的研究目的在于深入挖掘万曼晚期创作的精髓,寻找有利于当代纤维艺术发展的启示,务求最终能以反思的角度和扎实的学术基础来投身于当代纤维艺术的创作与研究,并积极参与相关的讨论。

Background: Transarterial chemoembolization(TACE) is the most commonly used adjuvant therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) after curative resection. Responses to TACE are variable due to tumor and patient heterogeneity. We had previously demonstrated that expression of Granulin-epithelin precursor(GEP) and ATP-dependent binding cassette(ABC)B5 in liver cancer stem cells was associated with chemoresistance. The present study aimed to evaluate the association between GEP/ABCB5 expression and response to adjuvant TACE after curative resection for HCC. Methods: Patients received adjuvant TACE after curative resection for HCC and patients received curative resection alone were identified from a prospectively collected database. Clinical samples were retrieved for biomarker analysis. Patients were categorized into 3 risk groups according to their GEP/ABCB5 status for survival analysis: low(GEP-/ABCB5-), intermediate(either GEP +/ABCB5-or GEP-/ABCB5 +) and high(GEP +/ABCB5 +). Early recurrence(recurrence within 2 years after resection) and disease-free survival were analyzed. Results: Clinical samples from 44 patients who had followed-up for more than 2 years were retrieved for further biomarker analysis. Among them, 18 received adjuvant TACE and 26 received surgery alone. Patients with adjuvant TACE in the intermediate risk group was associated with significantly better overall survival and 2-year disease-free survival than those who had surgery alone( P = 0.036 and P = 0.011, respectively). Adjuvant TACE did not offer any significant differences in the early recurrence rate, 2-year disease-free survival and overall survival for patients in low and high risk groups. Conclusions: Adjuvant TACE can only provide survival benefits for patients in the intermediate risk group(either GEP +/ABCB5-or GEP-/ABCB5 +). A larger clinical study is warranted to confirm its role in patient selection for adjuvant TACE.

2-11 Stellar -decay Rate of 59Fe and Its Impact on the 60Fe Nucleosynthesis

60Fe is a long-lived nucleus (T1=2=2.62×106 a) which is mainly synthesized in the Carbon-shell burning ofmassive stars. It still could be observed nowadays after being ejected to the space after massive star ends its life assupernova. Along with another long-lived nucleus 26Al (T1=2=7.17×105 a) which is synthesized in the similar stars,the observation of their decay could provide the information of stellar evolution. From 2002-2005 the INTEGRALsatellite with detector obtained 60Fe/26Al flux ratio in our Galaxy to be 0.148(60)[1]. It's significantly smallerthan the theoretical prediction 0.45[2], and indicated that the theory need to be improved to increase the 60Fe yieldor decrease 26Al yield. 60Fe is produced by neutron capture reactions: 58Fe(n, )59Fe and 59Fe(n, )60Fe. Thecompetition between -decay of 59Fe and its neutron capture plays an important role in 60Fe synthesis path. In thepresent work, the impact on the 60Fe synthesis of the -decay process in stellar environment is studied.

Adult olfactory neurogenesis plays critical roles in maintaining olfactory ***-generated neurons in the subventricular zone migrate to the olfactory bulb(OB) and determine olfactory discrimination,but the mechanisms underlying the regulation of olfactory neurogenesis remain *** previous study indicated the potential of APPL2(adaptor protein,phosphotyrosine interacting with PH domain and leucine zipper 2) as a modulating factor for neurogenesis in the adult olfactory *** the present study,we report how APPL2 affects neurogenesis in the OB and thereby mediates olfactory discrimination by using both in vitro neural stem cells(NSCs) and an in vivo animal model-APPL2 transgenic(Tg) *** the in vitro study,we found that APPL2 overexpression resulted in NSCs switching from neuronal differentiation to gliogenesis while APPL2 knockdown promoted *** the in vivo study,APPL2 Tg mice had a higher population of glial cells and dampened neuronal production in the olfactory system,including the corpus callosum,OB,and rostral migratory *** APPL2 Tg mice displayed impaired performance in olfactory discrimination tests compared with wild-type ***,we found that an interaction of APPL2 with Notch1 contributed to the roles of APPL2 in modulating the neurogenic lineage-switching and olfactory *** conclusion,APPL2 controls olfactory discrimination by switching the fate choice of NSCs via interaction with Notch1 signaling.

Background and Objective:Hong Kong,like many parts of Asia,faces a high burden of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)caused by high endemic rates of hepatitis B virus *** Kong clinicians have developed a high level of expertise in HCC treatment across surgical,transarterial,ablative,radiotherapeutic and systemic *** publication summarizes the latest evidence-based recommendations on how these modalities should be ***:In two meetings held in 2020,a multidisciplinary panel of surgeons,oncologists and interventional radiologists performed a narrative review of evidence on the management of HCC,with an emphasis on treatment of HCC not amenable to surgical *** attention was paid to new evidence published since the previous version of these statements in *** Content and Findings:The expert panel has formulated 60 consensus statements to guide the staging and treatment of unresectable *** the previous version of these statements,considerable additions have been made to the recommendations on use of targeted therapies and immunotherapies because of the large volume of new ***:Our consensus statements offer guidance on how to select HCC patients for surgical or non-surgical treatment and for choosing among non-surgical modalities for patients who are not candidates for *** particular,there is a need for more evidence to aid physicians in the selection of second-line systemic therapies,as currently most data are limited to patients with disease progression on first-line sorafenib.

Electromagnetic waves carrying orbital angular momentum(OAM),namely OAM beams,are important in various fields including optics,communications,and quantum ***,most current schemes can only generate single or several simple OAM ***-mode OAM beams are rarely *** paper proposes a scheme to design metasurfaces that can generate multiple polarization-multiplexed OAM modes with equal intervals and intensities(i.e.,OAM combs)working in the terahertz(THz)*** a proof of concept,we first design a metasurface to generate a pair of polarization-multiplexed OAM combs with arbitrary mode ***,another metasurface is proposed to realize a pair of polarization-multiplexed OAM combs with arbitrary locations and intervals in the OAM *** results agree well with full-wave simulations,verifying a great performance of OAM combs *** method may provide a new solution to designing high-capacity THz devices used in multi-mode communication systems.

Currently,there are no harmonized guidelines which govern skin banking in the Asia Pacific ***,skin banks are either unregulated or rely on their nation’s legislation or international accreditation to uphold their quality standards.A new set of skin banking guidelines was devel-oped through a comprehensive review and collation of best international practices for the Asia Pacific Burn Association(APBA)members,from donor screening and testing,to skin recovery,processing,storage and distribution,and quality *** regulatory requirements reviewed include the European directives,Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration and Sin-gapore’s tissue banking *** technical and quality management recommendations are referenced from the American Association of Tissue Banks(AATB),the United States Food and Drug Administration standards and guidance documents,various relevant European guides,Japanese Society of Tissue Transplantation guidelines and the Asia Pacific Association of Surgical Tissue *** mainly from the AATB standards,the new Asia Pacific Burn Association Guidelines for Skin Banking in Therapeutic Applications offer a comprehensive manual,address-ing:governance and contracts;staff responsibilities;quality management;facilities,equipment and supplies management;donor consent and testing;and recommendations of good practices pertaining to skin recovery,processing,storage and *** complementing current generic regulations,they provide technical specifications of major aspects unaddressed in most *** inaugural set of new regional skin banking guidelines would be a start for regional members of the APBA to adopt,and will hopefully culminate in a set of standards so that,in the long run,skin allografts from this region can be of similar quality,which can simplify import process and facilitate the exchange of allografts between members.

描述一种广泛应用于探索制程设计方面的系统性及随机性故障的短流程测试芯片与先进的检测工具平台相结合的综合方法,以对在65nm技术节点上的关键性缺陷进行特征化描述和监控,借此加速基于缺陷的良率学习。通过独特的快速电性测试方案、快速分析软件以及优化的检测效果,可缩短快速制程开发的学习周期。通过将在一个领先的300mm晶片厂得到的CV检测设置知识经验成功运用于制造过程,优化了产品的关键缺陷(DOI)检测。
