Factors associated with seeking western or Chinese medical treatment for fertility among women with breast cancer in Taiwan

OBJECTIVE: To examine and describe the use of Western and Chinese Medicine for pregnancy preparation among women with breast cancer after cancer-related treatment in ***: Women of reproductive age(20-49years) women who were treated for breast cancer from January 2011 through June 2015 in a Taiwan Residents city participated in the study. Of 306 eligible study participants, interviews were completed in197(64%). Participants were asked about sociodemographic variables, disease and treatment characteristics, their desire for fertility, and their use of Western or Chinese ***: The proportions of women who planned to use Western or Chinese Medicine to help achieve pregnancy were 17.3% and 14.7%, respectively. The result of binary logistic regression showed that current employment and lack of children were factors predictive of the use of Western Medicine. Younger age and the use of Chinese Medicine before treatment were predictors of using Chinese Medicine. While the desire for fertility preservation was related to the use of Western Medicine,the desire for pregnancy was related to the use of Chinese ***: Various characteristics guided the women's decisions to use Western or Chinese Medicine. Health care providers should learn patients' preferences for fertility preservation and provide appropriate advice, referring them to safe providers of their desired method of fertility treatment.

A catalog of early-type emission-line stars and Hα line profiles from LAMOST DR2

We present a catalog including 11 204 spectra of 10436 early-type emission-line stars from LAMOST DR2, among which 9752 early-type emission-line spectra are newly discovered. For these early- type emissionqine stars, we discuss the morphological and physical properties of their low-resolution spectra. In this spectral sample, the Hα emission profiles display a wide variety of shapes. Based on the Hα line profiles, these spectra are categorized into five distinct classes： single-peak emission, single-peak emission in absorption, double-peak emission, double-peak emission in absorption, and P-Cygni profiles. To better understand what causes the Hc~ line profiles, we divide these objects into four types from the perspective of physical classification, which include classical Be stars, Herbig Ae/Be stars, close binaries and spectra contaminated by H n regions. The majority of Herbig Ae/Be stars and classical Be stars are identified and separated using a （H-K, K-W1） color-color diagram. We also discuss 31 binary systems that are listed in the SIMBAD on-line catalog and identify 3600 spectra contaminated by HⅡ regions after cross-matching with positions in the Dubout-Crillon catalog. A statistical analysis of line profiles versus classifications is then conducted in order to understand the distribution of Hc~ profiles for each type in our sample. Finally, we also provide a table of 172 spectra with Fen emission lines and roughly calculate stellar wind velocities for seven spectra with P-Cygni profiles.

Reaction between Alkaline Metal Ions and ASR Reactive Aggregate and Behavior of Na＊ and K＊ in Cement Paste Replaced by Li＊

This paper studies the reaction between alkaline metal ions Li＋, Na＋ and K＋ and ASR （alkali-silica reaction） reactive aggregates to determine whether Li＋ can substitute Na＋ and K＋ that are unified in cement paste. Reactive aggregates use meta-sandstone from eastern Taiwan and Pyrex glass. Non-reactive aggregates use siliceous sand. The results show that the dissolved amount of SiO2 is lower when the reactive aggregates are immersed in an 80 ℃1 N LiOH＇H20 solution than in NaOH and KOH solutions. The reduced amounts of OH and Li＋ in the solution are also higher than those in the NaOH and KOH solutions. These results reveal that reactive SiO2 can react with LiOH to form a reactant with low water solubility. When the powder of the cement paste is immersed in an 80 ℃ 1 N LiOH-H2O solution, the amounts of free Na＋ and K＋ in the solution are higher than those in water. The increased amount increases with the duration of immersion. The amount of Li＋ in the solution also decreases with the duration of immersion. These results reveal that Li＋ can substitute Na＋ and K＋ that are unified in cement paste, which indicates that ASR can be prevented with the existence of Li＋.

AIM:To investigate the etiology of esophageal cancer among Taiwan Residents ***:This is a multi-center,hospital-based,case-control *** patients consisted of women who were newly diagnosed and pathology-proven to have esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) from three large medical centers(one from Northern and two from Southern Taiwan,respectively)between August 2000 and December *** ESCC patient was matched with 4 healthy women based on age(within 3 years)and hospital of origin,from the Department of Preventive Medicine in each hospital.A total of 51 case patients and 204 controls,all women,were ***:Frequencies of smokers and drinkers among ESCC patients were 19.6%and 21.6%,respectively,which were significantly higher than smokers(4.4%) and drinkers(4.4%)among controls(OR=4.07,95%CI:1.36-12.16,P=0.01;OR=3.55,95%CI:1.03-12.27,P=0.04).Women who drank an amount of alcohol more than 158 g per week had a 20.58-fold greater risk(95%CI:1.72-245.62,P=0.02)of ESCC than those who never drank alcohol after adjusting for other covariates,although the sample size was ***:Cigarette smoking and alcohol drinking,especially heavy drinking,are the major risks for developing ESCC in Taiwan Residents women.

Hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection is a leading cause of chronic hepatitis,liver cirrhosis,and hepatocellular carcinoma *** to the shared modes of transmission,coinfection with HBV and human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)is not *** is estimatedthat 10%of HIV-infected patients worldwide are coinfected with *** areas where an HBV vaccination program is implemented,the HBV seroprevalence has declined *** HIV/HBV-coinfected patients,HBV coinfection accelerates immunologic and clinical progression of HIV infection and increases the risk of hepatotoxicity when combination antiretroviral therapy(cART)is initiated,while HIV infection increases the risk of hepatitis events,cirrhosis,and end-stage liver disease related to chronic HBV *** the advances in antiviral therapy,concurrent,successful longterm suppression of HIV and HBV replication can be achieved in the cART *** reduce the disease burden of HBV infection among HIV-infected patients,adoption of safe sex practices,avoidance of sharing needles and diluent,HBV vaccination and use of cART containing tenofovir disoproxil fumarate plus emtricitabine or lamivudine are the most effective ***,due to HIV-related immunosuppression,using increased doses of HBV vaccine and novel approaches to HBV vaccination are needed to improve the immunogenicity of HBV vaccine among HIV-infected patients.
