Efficient initiation and resolution of inflammation are crucial for wound ***,with using tissue adhesives for wound repair,patients occasionally suffered from delayed healing process because slow elimination of those exogenous adhesives generally leads to chronic *** the demand for minimal invasive therapy continues to rise,desire for adhesive materials that can effectively reconnect surgical gaps and promote wound regeneration becomes increasingly ***,by exploiting the inherent porous structure and performance of adhesion to tissue of mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNs),we demonstrate a tissue adhesive that can elicit acute inflammatory response and get eliminated after tissue *** formation of nanocomposites in wound gaps,the injured tissues can get reconnected *** resultant accelerated healing process verifty that the strategy of exploiting unique properties of nanomaterials can effectively promote inflammation resolution and wound *** design strategy will inspire more innovative tissue adhesives for clinical applications.

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)h ave attracted widespread attention due to their large surface area and porous *** designing the nanostructures of MOFs to promote their application in ethanol electrooxidation is still a ***,a novel Cu-NCNs(Cu-nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes)support was synthesized by pyrolysis of melamine(MEL)and Cu-ZIF-8 together,and then,Pd-Au nanoalloys were loaded by sodium borohydride reduction method to prepare PdAu@Cu-NCNs *** generating mesoporous carbon with high specific surface area and favorable electron and mass transport can be used as a potential excellent carrier for PdAu *** addition,the balance of catalyst composition and surface structure was tuned by controlling the content of Pd and ***,the best-performed Pd_(2)Au_(2)@Cu-NCN-1000-2(where 1000 means the carrier calcination temperature,and 2 means the calcination constant temperature time)catalyst exhibits better long-term stability and electrochemical activity for ethanol oxidation in alkaline media(4.80 A·mg^(-1)),which is 5.05 times higher than that of commercial Pd/C(0.95 A·mg^(-1)).Therefore,this work is beneficial to further promoting the application of MOFs in direct ethanol fuel cells(DEFCs)and can be used as inspiration for the design of more efficient catalyst support structures.

Simulation study on cuttings transport of the backreaming operation for long horizontal section wells

The backreaming operation plays a significant role in safe drilling for horizontal wellbores, while it may cause severe stuck pipe accidents. To lower the risk of the stuck pipe in backreaming operations, the mechanism of cuttings transport needs to be carefully investigated. In this research, a transient cuttings transport with multiple flow patterns model is developed to predict the evolution of cuttings transported in the annulus while backreaming. The established model can provide predictions of the distribution of cuttings bed along the wellbore considering the bulldozer effect caused by large-size drilling tools(LSDTs). The sensitivity analyses of the size of LSDTs, and backreaming operating parameters are conducted in Section 4. And a new theory is proposed to explain the mechanism of cuttings transport in the backreaming operation, in which both the bit and LSDTs have the “cleaning effect” and “plugging effect”.The results demonstrate that the cuttings bed in annuli is in a state of dynamic equilibrium, but the overall trend and the distribution pattern are obvious. First, larger diameters and longer drilling tools could lead to a higher risk of the stuck pipe. Second, we find that it is not the case that the higher flow rate is always better for hole cleaning, so three flow-rate intervals are discussed separately under the given conditions. When the “dangerous flow rate”(35 L/s in Case 4),the higher the flow rate, the better the cleaning effect of cuttings beds. Enhancing the Crystallization Performance of Poly(L-lactide) by Intramolecular Hybridizing with Tunable Self-assembly-type Oxalamide Segments

In this work, hydroxyl-terminated oxalamide compounds N^(1),N^(2)-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)oxalamide(OXA1) and N^(1),N^(1)′-(ethane-1,2-diyl)bis(N^(2)-(2-hydroxyethyl)oxalamide(OXA2) were synthesized to initiate the ring-opening polymerization of L-lactide for preparation of oxalamide-hybridized poly(L-lactide)(PLA_(OXA)), i.e., PLA_(OXA1) and PLA_(OXA2). The crystallization properties of PLA were improved by the self-assembly of the oxalamide segments in PLA_(OXA) which served as the initial heterogeneous nuclei. The crystal growth kinetics was studied by HoffmanLauritzen theory and it revealed that the nucleation energy barrier of PLA_(OXA1) and PLA_(OXA2) was lower than that of PLA. Consequently, PLA_(OXA) could crystallize much faster than PLA, accompanied with a decrease in spherulite size and half-life crystallization time by 74.8% and 86.5%(T=125 ℃), respectively. In addition, the final crystallinity of PLA_(OXA1) and PLA_(OXA2) was 6 and 8 times higher, respectively, in comparison with that of neat PLA under a controlled cooling rate of 10 ℃/min. The results demonstrate that the hybridization of oxalamide segments in PLA backbone will serve as the self-heteronucleation for promoting the crystallization rate. The higher the content of oxalamide segments(PLA_(OXA2) compared with PLA_(OXA1)) is, the stronger the promotion effect will be. Therefore, this study may provide a universal approach by hybridizing macromolecular structure to facilitate the crystallization of semi-crystalline polymer materials.

Some diacetylene-containing copolyesters with different ratios of dipropargyl 1,10-decanate anddipropargyl terephthalate were synthesized. Properties of these copolymers were characterized by differentialscanning calorimetry and polarizing optical microscopy. The copolymer could be cross-linked easily by UVirradiation in a liquid crystal matrix without adding any photoinitiator. The preliminary studies showed thatthe diacetylene-containing polymer network can assist liquid crystal molecules to align with the externalelectric field, thus reducing the response time of display devices.

Lead(Pb) and manganese(Mn) are common neurotoxins. However, individuals are subject to co-exposures in real life, and it is therefore important to study these metals in combination. Weaning Sprague-Dawley rats were given ad libitum access to drinking water solutions containing Pb(100 mg/L), Mn(2.5 mg/m L) or a mixture, and each treatment had its own minocycline(50 mg/(kg·day)) supplement group. The results showed a significant difference in spatial memory and induction levels of hippocampal long-term potentiation(LTP) in all exposure groups when compared with controls. The combined-exposure group exhibited the most pronounced effect when compared with each of the single-metal exposure *** displayed activation at day 3 after exposure alone or in combination, while astrocytes showed activation at day 5, accompanied by decreased expression levels of GLAST,GLT-1, and GS. Furthermore, the levels of glutamate in the synaptic cleft increased significantly. When microglial activation was inhibited by minocycline, the activation of astrocytes and the expression of GLAST, GLT-1, and GS were both reversed. In addition, upon minocycline treatment, hippocampal LTP impairment and cognitive injury were significantly alleviated in each of the exposure groups. These results suggest that combined exposure to Pb and Mn can cause greater effects on cognition and synaptic plasticity when compared to single-metal exposure groups. The reason may involve abnormal activation of microglia leading to excessive regulation of astrocytes, resulting in glutamate reuptake dysfunction in astrocytes and leading to perturbed cognition and synaptic plasticity.

Background： Acupuncture can not only be used for well-known diseases, but also for so-called modern lifestyle-related diseases. Using innovative methods like e.g. new analyses of heart rate variability （HRV）, it is also possible to investigate diseases like burnout syndrome, ie., qi deficiency in Chinese medicine （CM）. Objective： The main object of this research protocol is to perform research on the relationship of burnout syndrome and heart rate （HR） and HRV. Methods： A total of 175 patients with burnout syndrome （qi deficiency syndrome） in five groups and 35 healthy volunteers will be investigated. Based on random numbers generated by computer and concealed in opaque envelops, the patients will be assigned to four acupuncture groups using Zusanli （ST 36） acupuncture stimulation, Guanyuan （CV4） acupuncture stimulation, both points, and both points with Streitberger device respectively, and a moxibustion group using both points mentioned above, with 35 cases in each group. Altogether four different experiments are planned. Experiment 1 includes 70 subjects and is a comparison between a burnout group and a control group （healthy volunteers）. The evaluation parameters are different scores and indices of HR and HRV. Experiment 2 includes 140 subjects and compares the efficacy of different acupuncture points. In experiment 3 （105 subjects）, acupuncture and moxibustion should be compared to healthy volunteers. Experiment 4 （70 subjects） investigates the long-term therapeutic effects of acupuncture and moxibustion on the scores of qi deficiency and HR/HRV in qi deficiency patients. In both the acupuncture and moxibustion groups, a total of 10 treatments will be performed. Conclusions： The joint research aims at the scientific evaluation of CM, mainly in the field of HRV. This parameter could be a very good indicator of the state of health and can be influenced by different acupuncture methods, as shown in the past.

Noble metal-based high-entropy alloy nanoparticles(NM-HEA NPs) have exhibited brilliant catalytic performance toward electrocatalytic energy conversion and attracted increasing attention. The near-equimolar mixed elements of NM-HEA NPs may result in the unique properties including cocktail effect, high entropy effect and lattice distortion effect, which are beneficial for improving the catalytic performance and reducing the amount of noble metal. Herein, several advanced NM-HEA NPs as electrocatalysts for energy conversion are systematically summarized. The preparation methods of NM-HEA NPs are evaluated as well as the catalytic properties and mechanism are discussed classified by electrocatalytic reactions. Finally,the challenges and prospects in this field are carefully discussed. This review provides an overview on recent advances of NM-HEA electrocatalysts for energy conversion and draws more attention in this infant research field.
