The hepatitis C virus(HCV),an obligatory intracellular pathogen,highly depends on its host cells to propagate *** HCV life cycle can be simply divided into several stages including viral entry,protein translation,RNA replication,viral assembly and *** of cellular factors involved in the HCV life cycle have been identified over more than thirty years of *** of these cellular factors has provided extensive insight into HCV replication *** of these cellular factors are targets for anti-HCV *** this review,we summarize the well-characterized and recently identified cellular factors functioning at each stage of the HCV life cycle.

Hepatitis C virus(HCV)is a major cause of chronic liver diseases,including steatosis,cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma,and its infection is also associated with insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes ***,belonging to the Flaviviridae family,is a small enveloped virus whose positive-stranded RNA genome encoding a *** HCV core protein is cleaved first at residue 191 by the host signal peptidase and further cleaved by the host signal peptide peptidase at about residue 177 to generate the mature core protein(a.a.1-177)and the cleaved peptide(a.a.178-191).Core protein could induce insulin resistance,steatosis and even hepatocellular carcinoma through various *** peptide(a.a.178-191)may play a role in the immune *** polymorphism of this peptide is associated with the cellular lipid drop accumulation,contributing to steatosis *** addition to the conventional open reading frame(ORF),in the+1 frame,an ORF overlaps with the core proteincoding sequence and encodes the alternative reading frame proteins(ARFP or core+1).ARFP/core+1/F protein could enhance hepatocyte growth and may regulate iron *** this review,we briefly summarized the current knowledge regarding the production of different core gene products and their roles in viral pathogenesis.

Objective: Prostate cancers(PCa) in Asian individuals are molecularly distinct from those found in their Caucasian *** is no risk stratification tool for Asian men with rapid biochemical recurrence(BCR) following radical prostatectomy(Rad P). This study aims to assess the detection rate of ^(68)Ga-prostate-specific membrane antigen-positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PSMA-PET/CT) for diagnosis of clinical recurrence and as a treatment decision making tool in Asian patients with BCR post-Rad ***: ^(68)Ga PSMA-PET and CT body with/without bone scan [conventional workup(CWU)] were performed in 55 Asian patients with BCR within 36 months post-Rad P. Two blinded reviewers assessed the images. Detection rates of ^(68)Ga PSMAPET/CT were evaluated, and impact on management was reviewed by comparison with ***: Median time to BCR post-Rad P was 8.1 months. Detection rate for ^(68)Ga PSMA-PET/CT was 80%(44/55). A positive scan was significantly associated with increasing prostate-specific antigen(PSA) level [odds ratio(OR) = 1.13(95% CI 1.05–1.30), P =0.017], but not with higher Gleason grade or shorter PSA doubling time. Compared to CWU, ^(68)Ga PSMA-PET/CT detected an additional 106 lesions in 33/44 patients with a positive scan, resulting in a change in management in 25/44(56.8%) patients: 10 to hormonal therapy(HT) and whole pelvis radiotherapy(RT) in addition to bed RT, and 15 to palliative HT ***: In the present report, we demonstrated the diagnostic and treatment decision utility of ^(68)Ga PSMA-PET/CT in Asian men with rapid BCR. Detection of small volume nodal and systemic recurrences at low PSA levels(< 1.0 ng/mL) highlights the role of the tool in assigning patients to treatment intensification with HT-RT or palliative HT in polymetastatic disease.

Background and Objectives:The aims of this study were(1)to examine the diagnostic accuracy of resting timeaveraged distal coronary pressure(Pd)to mean aortic pressure(Pa)ratio to predict hyperemic fractional flow reserve(FFR)and(2)to identify a resting Pd/Pa value that can preclude the need for hyperemic FFR assessed with use of a monorail pressure ***:A total of 191 stenoses were *** exclusions,157 FFR data sets from 103 patients were ***:Resting Pd/Pa showed poor agreement with hyperemic FFR(r=0.619,P<0.001).The receiver operating characteristic curve for resting Pd/Pa with reference to hyperemic FFR of 0.80 or less showed an area under the curve of 0.800(95%confi dence interval 0.732– 0.868,P<0.001),with the greatest diagnostic accuracy of 74.5%for resting Pd/Pa of less than *** Pd/Pa of 0.96 or greater had a sensitivity of 100%and a negative predictive value of 100%,and resting Pd/Pa of 0.82 or less had a specifi city of 98.9%and a positive predictive value of 94.1%to predict abnormal FFR of 0.80 or *** results were consistent regardless of the vessels studied,the location of lesions,and the severity of ***:Resting Pd/Pa showed poor agreement with hyperemic FFR assessed with use of a monorail pressure ***,resting Pd/Pa of 0.96 or greater had excellent sensitivity and negative predictive value to predict normal hyperemic FFR,and resting Pd/Pa of 0.82 or less had excellent specifi city and positive predictive value to predict abnormal hyperemic FFR.

The polysulfide shuttling and sluggish redox kinetics,due to the notorious adsorption-catalysis underperformance,are the ultimate obstacles of the practical application of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)*** carbon-based and transition metal compound-based material solutions generally suffer from poor catalysis and adsorption,respectively,despite the performance gain in terms of the ***,we have enhanced polysulfide adsorptioncatalytic capability and protected the Li anode using a complementary bimetallic carbide electrocatalyst,Co3 Mo3 C,modified commercial *** this demonstration,the potentials of bimetal compounds,which have been well recognized in other environmental catalysis,are also extended to Li-S *** with this modified separator,a simple cathode(S/Super P composite)can deliver high sulfur utilization,high rate performance,and excellent cycle stability with a low capacity decay rate of^0.034%per cycle at 1 C up to1000 *** at a high S-loading of 8.0 mg cm^-2 with electrolyte/sulfur ratio=6 m L g^-1,the cathode still exhibits high areal capacity of^6.8 m A h cm^-*** experimental analysis and the first-principles calculations proved that the bimetallic carbide Co3 Mo3 C provides more binding sites for adsorbing polysulfides and catalyzing the multiphase conversion of sulfur/polysulfide/sulfide than monometallic carbide Mo2 ***,the modified separator can be reutilized with comparable electrochemical *** also showed other bimetallic carbides with similar catalytic effects on Li-S batteries and this material family has great promise indifferent energy electrocatalytic systems.
