Over the last sixty years advances have been made in the control of schistosomiasis in *** are,however,difficult challenges still to be *** paper looks at the extent to which the health system offers a positive environment for the control of the *** starts by tracing three phases in schistosomiasis control:disease elimination strategy through snail control(1950s-early 1980s);morbidity control strategy based on chemotherapy(mid 1980s to 2003);integrated control strategy(2004+).Each one of these phases took place in distinct policy-making *** paper partly draws on these phases to set out five issues of disease control and discusses them in the context of the health system and its recent *** cover the policy-making process,intersectoral action for health,equity and access to health services,funding for public goods and externalities,and strengthening resource management and *** issues form the basis of an agenda for integrating research and capacity strengthening in the Chinese health system with a view to creating a more positive enabling environment for schistosomiasis *** so doing it is important to emphasize the role and integrity of the public sector against its commercialization,the underlying value of equity,a systems wide perspective,and the role of advocacy.

Recent studies have demonstrated that topical application of glycerol on intact skin does not affect its optical scattering *** from our research group recently revisited the use of dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO)as an agent with optical clearing *** address the use of optical clearing to enhance quantitation of subsurface fluorescence *** employed both in vitro and in vivo model systems to study the effect of topical DMSO application on fluorescence *** in vitro experiments performed on a tissue-simulating phantom suggest that DMSO-mediated optical clearing enables enhanced characterization of subsurface *** topical DMSO application,a marked increase in fluorescence emission was *** 30 min,the fluorescence signal at the DMSO-treated site was 9×greater than the contralateral saline-treated *** ratio increased to 13×at 105 min after agent *** summary,DMSO is an effective optical clearing agent for improved fluorescence emission quantitation and warrants further study in preclinical in vivo *** on outcomes from previous clinical studies on the toxicity profile of DMSO,we postulate that clinical application of DMSO as an optical clearing agent,can be performed safely,although further study is warranted.

This paper is concerned with Bernstein polynomials on k-simploids by which we mean a crossproduct of k lower dimensional simplices. Specifically, we show that if the Bernstein polynomials ofa given function f on a k-simploid form a decreasing sequence then f+l, where l is any correspondingtensor product of affine functions. achieves its maximum on the boundary of the k-simploid. Thisextends recent results in [1] for bivariate Bernstein polynomials on triangles. Unlike the approachused in [1] our approach is based on semigroup techniques and the maximum principle for secondorder elliptic operators. Furthermore, we derive analogous results for cube spline surfaces.

目的建立特定培养基中莫西沙星的HpLC测定法。方法取样品100μL,以加替沙星作内标,采用乙腈沉淀蛋白;常温下氮气吹干,用0.01 mol·L-1盐酸200μL复溶后进样。色谱柱:Alltech Nucleosil 100(C18)柱(10μm,4.6 mm×250mm);流动相:缓冲液-甲醇-乙腈(66.8:15.1:18.1),缓冲液为三乙胺-磷酸-水(0.37:0.30:99.3);流速1.3 mL·min-1,荧光检测器的激发波长和发射波长分别为295和418nm。结果在1.0-50.0 μg·mL-1内线性关系良好,相关系数r=0.999 9(n=7)。高低2个浓度质控样品的日内RSD在0.67％-0.81％之间,日间RSD在0.48％-0.89％之间,方法学回收率为98.43％-103.51％。结论本法灵敏、可靠、耐用、操作简便易行、分析时间短,并成功地应用于莫西沙星体外模型的细菌耐药性发展研究。

Traffic accidents on highways are attributed mostly to the”invisibility”of oncoming traffic and road signs.”Speeding”also causes drivers to reduce the effective radius of the vehicle path in the curve,thus trespassing into the lane of the oncoming *** main aim of this paper was to develop a multisensory obstacle-detection device that is affordable,easy to implement and easy to maintain to reduce the risk of road accidents at blind *** ultrasonic sensor module with a maximum measuring angle of 15◦was used to ensure that a significant portion of the lane was detected at the blind *** sensor covered a minimum effective area of 0.5 m2 of the road for obstacle *** light was employed to signify caution while negotiating the blind *** photoresistors(pRs)were used as sensors because of the limited number of pins on the microcontroller(Arduino Uno).However,the device developed for this project achieved obstacle detection at blind corners at relatively low cost and can be accessed by all road *** real-world applications,the use of piezoelectric accelerometers(vibration sensors)instead of pR sensors would be more desirable in order to detect not only cars but also two-wheelers.

parvovirus B19 induced acute hepatitis and hepatic failure have been previously reported, mainly in children. Very few cases of parvovirus induced hepatic failure have been reported in adults and fewer still have required liver transplantation. We report the case of a 55-year-old immunocompetent woman who developed fulminant hepatic failure after acute infection with parvovirus B19 who subsequently underwent orthotopic liver transplantation. This is believed to be the first reported case in the literature in which an adult patient with fulminant hepatic failure associated with acute parvovirus B19 infection and without hematologic abnormalities has been identified prior to undergoing liver transplantation. This case suggests that parvovirus B19 induced liver disease can affect adults, can occur in the absence of hematologic abnormalities and can be severe enough to require liver transplantation.
