Background:Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is associated with impaired renal function,and both diseases often occur alongside other metabolic ***,the prevalence and risk factors for impaired renal function in patients with NAFLD remain *** objective of this study was to identify the prevalence and risk factors for renal impairment in NAFLD ***:All adults aged 18-70 years with ultrasound-diagnosed NAFLD and transient elastography examination from eight Asian centers were enrolled in this prospective *** fibrosis and cirrhosis were assessed by FibroScan-aspartate aminotransferase(FAST),Agile 3+and Agile 4 *** renal function and chronic kidney disease(cKD)were defined by an estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)with value ofctively,as estimated by the cKD-Epidemiology collaboration(cKD-EPI)***:Among 529 included NAFLD patients,the prevalence rates of impaired renal function and cKD were 37.4%and 4.9%,*** multivariate analysis,a moderate-high risk of advanced liver fibrosis and cirrhosis according to Agile 3+and Agile 4 scores were independent risk factors for cKD(Pcreased fasting plasma glucose(FPG)and blood pressure were significantly associated with impaired renal function after controlling for the other components of metabolic syndrome(Pcompared with patients with normoglycemia,those with prediabetes[FPG≥5.6 mmol/L or hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)≥5.7%]were more likely to have impaired renal function(Pconclusions:Agile 3+and Agile 4 are reliable for identifying NAFLD patients with high risk of *** glycemic control in the prediabetic stage might have a potential renoprotective role in these patients.

The long and large diameter uncharged hole boring(LLB)method is a cut blasting method that minimizes blast-induced vibrations by creating long and large diameter uncharged holes at the excavation face of tunnels prior to tunnel *** in this method typically uses a 50 m long with a 382 mm diameter hammer bit in the horizontal direction at the tunnel ***,the significant weight and uni-directional rotation of the rod head,as well as variables such as geological characteristics,machine conditions,and inexperienced operators result in significant deviation from the target borehole alignment that hinders the vibration-dampening effect of the uncharged ***,since there is no method to verify the alignment of the boreholes until main tunnel construction,borehole misalignment is often not discovered until weeks after construction,which requires tunnel construction to cease until the equipment can be remobilized and an additional borehole be created,causing significant delays and increased costs for the entire tunnel *** this study,the borehole alignment tracking and ground exploration system(BGS)is developed to predict and monitor the quality and alignment of boreholes for cut blasting methods such as the LLB methods immediately after *** BGS was subsequently tested at a subway construction site to evaluate its performance in the *** measurements yielded by the BGS were compared with manually measured boring positions at every 5 m along the *** the BGS showed a maximum deviation of approximately 12%at a local point where the hole surface was relatively rough,the accuracy for the final boring position was approximately 97%,demonstrating excellent precision of the alignment tracking *** BGS demonstrates excellent performance in predicting ground conditions and the boring quality of a cut hole immediately after drilling,and shows promise in various other applications for monitoring borehole alignment.

The prevalence of obesity has increased and is a health concern *** to the concerns regarding synthetic anti-obesity treatments,nowadays natural products become a *** studies proved that there is a potential to use marine algae as anti-obesity ***,in this study,the lipid inhibitory effect of crude polysaccharide of amyloglucosidase-assisted hydrolysate from Sargassum thunbergii(STAc)and its fucoidan fractions(STAFs)on 3T3-L1 cells and high-fat diet(HFD)-induced obese mice were *** to the results,the STAF3,showed the highest xylose content and exhibited significant inhibitory effects on lipid accumulation by downregulating adipogenic and lipogenic proteins in 3T3-L1 ***,oral supplementation with STAc significantly declined gain in body weight and fat weight,and serum lipid contents in an HFD-induced obesity mouse *** and chemical characterizations demonstrated that puritied STAF3 has consistent surface morphology and small particle size,with similar structural characteristics as commercial ***,these results indicate that STAc and purified STAF3 from Sargassum thunbergia is a potent source to develop as ananti-obesity agents or functional food products to counter obesity.

Transcriptional coactivators regulate the rate of gene expression in the *** receptor coactivator 6(NcOA6),a coactivator,has been implicated in embryonic development,metabolism,and cancer pathogenesis,but its role in innate immunity and inflammatory diseases remains ***,we demonstrated that NcOA6 was expressed in monocytes and macrophages and that its level was increased under proinflammatory ***,nuclear NcOA6 was found to translocate to the cytoplasm in activated monocytes and then become incorporated into the inflammasome with NLRP3 and ASc,forming cytoplasmic ***,NcOA6 associated with the ATP hydrolysis motifs in the NAcHT domain of NLRP3,promoting the oligomerization of NLRP3 and ASc and thereby instigating the production of IL-1βand active *** note,Ncoa6 deficiency markedly inhibited NLRP3 hyperactivation caused by the Nlrp3^(R258W) gain-of-function mutation in *** ablation of Ncoa6 substantially attenuated the severity of two NLRP3-dependent diseases,folic-induced acute tubular necrosis and crystal-induced arthritis,in *** with these findings,NcOA6 was highly expressed in macrophages derived from gout patients,and NcOA6-positive macrophages were significantly enriched in gout macrophages according to the transcriptome profiling ***,NcOA6 is a critical regulator of NLRP3 inflammasome activation and is therefore a promising target for NLRP3-dependent diseases,including gout.

In spite of the high potential economic feasibility of the tandem solar cells consisting of the halide perovskite and the kesterite cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4(cZTSSe),they have rarely been demonstrated due to the difficulty in implementing solution-processed perovskite top cell on the rough surface of the bottom ***,we firstly demonstrate an efficient monolithic two-terminal perovskite/cZTSSe tandem solar cell by significantly reducing the surface roughness of the electrochemically deposited cZTSSe bottom *** surface roughness(R_(rms))of the cZTSSe thin film could be reduced from 424 to 86 nm by using the potentiostatic mode rather than using the conventional galvanostatic mode,which can be further reduced to 22 nm after the subsequent ion-milling *** perovskite top cell with a bandgap of 1.65 eV could be prepared using a solution process on the flattened cZTSSe bottom cell,resulting in the efficient perovskite/cZTSSe tandem solar *** the current matching between two subcells involving the thickness control of the perovskite layer,the best performing tandem device exhibited a high conversion efficiency of 17.5%without the hysteresis effect.

Rh has been widely studied as a catalyst for the promising hydrazine oxidation reaction that can replace oxygen evolution reactions for boosting hydrogen production from hydrazine-containing *** Rh being expensive,only a few studies have examined its electrocatalytic mass ***,surface-limited cation exchange and electrochemical activation processes are designed to remarkably enhance the mass activity of *** atoms were readily replaced at the Ni sites on the surface of NiOOH electrodes by cation exchange,and the resulting RhOOH compounds were activated by the electrochemical reduction *** cation exchange-derived Rh catalysts exhibited particle sizes not exceeding 2 nm without agglomeration,indicating a decrease in the number of inactive inner Rh ***,an improved mass activity of 30 A mg_(Rh)^(-1)was achieved at 0.4 V versus reversible hydrogen ***,the two-electrode system employing the same cE-derived Rh electrodes achieved overall hydrazine splitting over 36 h at a stable low *** proposed surface-limited cE process is an effective method for reducing inactive atoms of expensive noble metal catalysts.

Tip-enhanced nano-spectroscopy and-imaging have significantly advanced our understanding of low-dimensional quantum materials and their interactions with light,providing a rich insight into the underlying physics at their natural length ***,various functionalities of the plasmonic tip expand the capabilities of the nanoscopy,enabling dynamic manipulation of light-matter interactions at the *** this review,we focus on a new paradigm of the nanoscopy,shifting from the conventional role of imaging and spectroscopy to the dynamical control approach of the tip-induced light-matter *** present three different approaches of tip-induced control of light-matter interactions,such as cavity-gap control,pressure control,and near-field polarization ***,we discuss the nanoscale modifications of radiative emissions for various emitters from weak to strong coupling regime,achieved by the precise engineering of the ***,we introduce recent works on light-matter interactions controlled by tip-pressure and near-field polarization,especially tunability of the bandgap,crystal structure,photoluminescence quantum yield,exciton density,and energy transfer in a wide range of quantum *** envision that this comprehensive review not only contributes to a deeper understanding of the physics of nanoscale light-matter interactions but also offers a valuable resource to nanophotonics,plasmonics,and materials science for future technological advancements.
