competitive assembling strategy to construct carbon nitride homojunctions for boosting photocatalytic performance

Both morphology and composition have a great influence on the properties and functions of materials,however,how to rational modulate both of them to achieve their synergistic effects has been a longstanding ***,we demonstrate a competitive assembling strategy for the construction of metal-free graphite carbon nitride(cN)homojunctions in which morphology and composition can be easily controlled simultaneously by only changing the ratio of assembly raw *** homojunctions are comprised of porous nanotubular S-doped cN(ScN)grafted with cN nanovesicles,which are derived from thermal polycondensation of melamine-thiocyanuric acid(M-T)/melamine-cyanuric acid(M-c)supramolecular hybrid *** unique architecture and component engineering endows the novel ScN-cN homojunction with abundant active sites,enhanced visible trapping ability,and intimate interface *** a result,the synthesized ScN-cN homojunctions demonstrate high photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution and pollutant *** developed strategy opens up intriguing opportu-nities for the rational construction of intricate metal-free heterostructures with controllable architecture and interfacial contact for applications in energy-related fields.

Jasmonates(JAs)are essential hormones that regulate plant responses to biotic and abiotic stresses and are involved in various developmental processes,including flowering time control,floral organ development,and fertility of male and female gametes(Howe et al.,2018).However,our understanding of the mechanisms by which JAs integrate multiple signals to regulate diverse physiological processes remains *** the canonical JA signaling pathway,activated JAs are perceived by the F-box protein receptor cORONATINE INSENSITIVE 1(cOl1),which induces the interaction between cOl1 and the Jas domain of the repressor proteins JASMONATE-zIM DOMAIN PROTEINs(JAzs),leading to the ubiquitination and degradation of JAz *** proteolytic destruction of the JAz repressors is a crucial step that releases the inhibition of JAzs on the JA response transcription factor MYc2,allowing MYc2 to activate the expression of downstream genes(Howe et al.,2018).Therefore,the stability and specific spatiotemporal expression pattern of the JAz proteins are critical for the regulation of JA signaling output,as they determine the activation and repression of JA responses.

communication can promote coordination in cooperative Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL). Nowadays, existing works mainly focus on improving the communication efficiency of agents, neglecting that real-world communication is much more challenging as there may exist noise or potential attackers. Thus the robustness of the communication-based policies becomes an emergent and severe issue that needs more exploration. In this paper, we posit that the ego system trained with auxiliary adversaries may handle this limitation and propose an adaptable method of Multi-Agent Auxiliary Adversaries Generation for robust communication, dubbed MA3c, to obtain a robust communication-based policy. In specific, we introduce a novel message-attacking approach that models the learning of the auxiliary attacker as a cooperative problem under a shared goal to minimize the coordination ability of the ego system, with which every information channel may suffer from distinct message attacks. Furthermore, as naive adversarial training may impede the generalization ability of the ego system, we design an attacker population generation approach based on evolutionary learning. Finally, the ego system is paired with an attacker population and then alternatively trained against the continuously evolving attackers to improve its robustness, meaning that both the ego system and the attackers are adaptable. Extensive experiments on multiple benchmarks indicate that our proposed MA3c provides comparable or better robustness and generalization ability than other baselines.

Synthesis of value-added chemicals from biomass is an essential strategy to mitigate the global dependency on fossil resources and achieve the aim of carbon neutrality. Thereinto, ethanol and acetic acid are crucial biomass-derived platform ***, catalytic upgrading ethanol and acetic acid into c4 energy-intensive fuels and chemicals via the elongation of carbon backbone has received widespread attention. The primary focus of this review is to systematically describe the recent breakthrough in the conversion of ethanol or acetic acid to c4 chemicals including 1,3-butadiene, n-butenes, isobutene or *** attentions will be given to heterogeneous catalyst design strategies, reaction parameters on the catalytic performance along with the relevant mechanism investigations, as well as their future challenges and opportunities. The present review will provide the detailed insights into the synthesis of c4 chemicals from biomass-derived ethanol and acetic acid and shed a light on the development of highly efficient catalysts.

Effects of multiple shapes for steady flow with transformer oil+Fe_(3)O_(4)+TiO_(2) between two stretchable rotating disks

In this study,we examine the effects of various shapes of nanoparticles in a steady flow of hybrid nanofluids between two stretchable rotating *** steady flow of hybrid nanofluids with transformer oil as the base fluid and Fe_(3)O_(4)+TiO_(2)as the hybrid nanofluid is *** shapes of Fe_(3)O_(4)+TiO_(2)hybrid nanofluids,including sphere,brick,blade,cylinder,and platelet,are *** shape exists in the same volume of a *** leading equations(partial differential equations(PDEs))are transformed to the nonlinear ordinary differential equations(ODEs)with the help of similarity *** system of equations takes the form of ODEs depending on the boundary conditions,whose solutions are computed numerically by the bvp4c MATLAB *** outputs are compared with the previous findings,and an intriguing pattern is discovered,such that the tangential velocity is increased for the rotation parameter,while it is decreased by the stretching values because of the lower *** the reaction rate parameter,the concentration boundary layer becomes shorter,and the activation energy component increases the rate at which mass transfers come to the higher disk but have the opposite effect on the bottom *** ranges of various parameters taken into account are Pr=6.2,Re=2,M=1.0,φ_(1)=φ_(2)=0.03,K=0.5,S=-0.1,Br=0.3,Sc=2.0,α_(1)=0.2,γ=0.1,E_(n)=2.0,and q=1.0,and the rotation factor K is within the range of 0 to 1.

Photocatalytic degradation of enrofloxacin with coAl-LDH mediated persulfate system:Efficiency evaluations and reaction pathways

Residual enrofloxacin(ENR)exposed in aqueous environments is challenging to the *** this work,a layered double hydroxide coAl-LDH was used to activate the common oxidizing agent persulfate(PS)for photodegradation of ENR,and the degradation pathways of ENR were scrutinized and *** results indicated that,under the optimal conditions obtained through orthogonal experiments,even though the degradation rate of ENR was as high as 97.72%,the removal of total organic carbon(TOc)from the system was only about 30%.Eleven probable reaction pathways were categorized,and thirty-one types of intermediates were identified in participating in the complex degradation *** major products of ENR were P4(c_(17)H_(20)FN_(3)O_(3)),P22(c_(19)H_(22)FN_(3)O_(4)),P19(c_(17)H_(18)FN_(3)O_(3)),which are mainly derived from the cleavage of the piperazine groups and quinolone *** functional theory(DFT)calculations of the Fukui index for ENR revealed that the two N atoms in the piperazine ring were the core reactive sites in triggering the degradation chains,which were sensitive for electrophilic attack by the dominant radicals(·OH and SO_(4)·^(-))generated from the composite PS-UV-coAl-LDH system.

Determination of global geodetic parameters using satellite laser ranging to Galileo,GLONASS,and BeiDou satellites

The new Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)satellites,including GLONASS,Galileo,and BeiDou system,are equipped with Laser Retroreflector Arrays(LRA)to support Satellite Laser Ranging(SLR)tracking,which contributes to the estimation of global geodetic *** this study,we estimate the global geodetic parameters using the SLR observations to GNSS satellites and also investigate the effects of different data processing strategies on the estimated Earth Rotation Parameters(ERP),geocenter motion,and terrestrial *** results indicate that setting range bias parameters for each satellite-station pair can effectively account for the satellite-specific biases induced by LRAs,leading to smaller Root Mean Square Errors(RMSE)of the post-fit SLR ***,estimating the range biases for each satellite-station pair improves the accuracy of the estimated station coordinates and *** also examine the impact of different arc lengths on the estimates of ERP,geocenter motion,and terrestrial *** results show that extending arc length can significantly reduce the formal error of *** 7-day strategy produces the smallest RMSEs of 473 microarcseconds and 495 microarcseconds for the estimated X-and Y-component of pole coordinates,and 52 microseconds for length-of-day,***,the estimated geocenter motion is less affected by the arc length,even the shortest 1-day arc strategy can capture the seasonal variations of geocenter motion in z *** scale estimation,extending the arc length notably improves the accuracy of the estimated station coordinates and scale,but this advantage becomes less noticeable in longer *** 7-day solution also obtains the closet scale results compared to ITRF2014,with the RMSE of 2.10×10^(–9).

In slurry shield tunneling,the stability of tunnel face is closely related to the filter *** cutting of the cutterhead has negative impact on the formation of filter *** study focuses on the formation time of dynamic filter cake considering the filtration effect and rotation of *** effect is the key factor for slurry infiltration.A multilayer slurry infiltration experiment system is designed to investigate the variation of filtrate rheological property in infiltration *** mass concentration c_(L),soil permeability coefficient k,the particle diameter ratio between soil equivalent grain size and representative diameter of slurry particles d_(10)/D_(85) are selected as independent design variables to fit the computational formula of filtration *** on the relative relation between the mass of deposited particles in soil pores and infiltration time,a mathematical model for calculating the formation time of dynamic filter cake is proposed by combining the formation criteria and formation rate of external filter *** accuracy of the proposed model is verified through existing experiment *** results show that filtration coefficient is positively correlated with slurry mass concentration,while negatively correlated with the soil permeability coefficient and the particle diameter ratio between soil and *** infiltration distance increases,the adsorption capacity of soil skeleton to slurry particles gradually *** formation time of external filter cake is significantly lower than internal filter cake and the ratio is approximately *** the dynamic cutting of the cutterhead,the formation time is positively associated with the rotation speed of cutter head,while negatively with the phase angle difference between adjacent cutter *** formation rate of external filter cake is greater than 98%when d_(10)/D_(85)≤*** increasing the content or decreasing the diameter size of solid-phase

Manipulating fast Li_(2)S redox via carbon confinement and oxygen defect engineering of In_(2)O_(3)for lithium-sulfur batteries

Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries have been considered as promising energy storage systems due to the merits of high energy density and low ***,the lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)diffusion and sluggish redox kinetics hamper the battery *** this work,low-bandgap indium oxide(In_(2)O_(3))with dense oxygen vacancies(In_(2)O_(3−x),0confined in nitrogen-doped carbon column(Nc)is developed as a desirable LiPSs immobilizer and promoter to address these intractable *** Nc confined In_(2)O_(3−x)with rich O vacancies(In_(2)O_(3−x)@Nc)lowers the bandgap of 1.78 eV,strengthens the chemical adsorbability to LiPSs,and catalyzes the bidirectional Li_(2)S *** to the structural and chemical cooperativities,the obtained sulfur electrodes exhibit a stable cycling over 550 cycles at 1.0 c and splendid rate capability up to 4.0 *** significantly,when the sulfur-loading reaches as high as 5.5 mg·cm^(−2),the cathodes achieve an areal capacity of 5.12 mAh·cm^(−2)at 0.1 *** strategy of Nc confined catalyst with rich defects engineering demonstrates great promise in the development of practical Li-S batteries.
