Effect of cream, prepared with Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F and other four medicinals, on joint pain and swelling in patients with rheumatoid arthritis: a double-blinded, randomized, placebo controlled clinical trial

OBjEcTIVE: To investigate the effectiveness a cream onjoint pain and swelling in patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA). The cream, topically used, in was prepared with Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F(TwHF), Mangxiao(Nalrii Sulfas), chuanxiong(Rhizoma chuanxiong), stir-frying with liquid adjuvant Ruxiang(Olibanum), and stir-frying with liquid adjuvant Moyao(Myrrh).METHODS: Patients were 1∶1 randomized to addon TwHF cream twice a day or placebo for 4 *** primary endpoint was achievement rate of20% improvement in American college of Rheuma-tology criteria(AcR20) at week 4. Secondary endpoints were AcR50, 28-joint count Disease Activity Score(DAS28) improvement and safety *** analyses were performed using intention to treat analysis(ITT) ***: A total of 70 active RA patients were enrolled. At week 4, the AcR20 was 34.3%(12/35) in TwHF cream group and 11.4%(4/35) in placebo group(P = 0.015). Similarly, a higher AcR50 responder proportion was seen in TwHF cream group with 17.1%(6/35) comparing to it in placebo group with 2.9%(1/35)(P = 0.046). The TwHF cream group also had more improvement than the placebo group on DAS28-ESR(1.1 vs 0.5, P = 0.001), DAS28-cRP(1.4 vs 0.7, P = 0.001), tender joint count(5.5 vs2.6, P = 0.018), swollen joint count(3.5 vs 1.6, P =0.003) and Physician's global assessment(25.8 vs13.0, P = 0.002), as well as c-reactive protein(11.2 vs 2.7, P = 0.048). Except 2 skin allergy events in TwHF cream group, no other substantive adverse events were ***: On the short term, TwHF cream is likely to be an effective and safety complimentary treatment in patients with active RA.

Multifarious roles of carbon quantum dots in heterogeneous photocatalysis

As a new member of carbon material family, carbon quantum dots (cQDs) have attracted tremendous attentions for their potentials in the heterogeneous photocatalysis applications. Due to the unique microstructure and optical properties, the roles of cQDs played in the cQDs-based photocatalytic systems have been found to be diverse with the continuous researches in this regard. Herein, we provide a concise minireview to elaborate the multifarious roles of cQDs in photocatalysis, including photoelectron mediator and acceptor, photosensitizer, photocatalyst, reducing agent for metal salt, enhancing adsorption capacity and spectral converter. In addition, the perspectives on future research trends and challenges are proposed, which are anticipated to stimulate further research into this promising field on designing a variety of efficient cQDs-based photocatalysts for solar energy conversion. Theoretical Studies on the Electronic Structure of Nano-graphenes for Applications in Nonlinear Optics

In this work,azulene is introduced into nano-graphene with coronene center to enhance the second-order nonlinear optical(NLO)*** sum-over-states(SOS)model based calculations demonstrate that dipolar contributions are larger than octupolar contributions to the static first hyperpolarizability(〈β0〉)in most nano-graphenes except those with high symmetry(e.g.,a c2v nano-graphene has octupolar contributionsΦj=3 up to 59.0%of the〈β0〉).Nano-graphenes containing two parallel orientating azulenes(i.e.,Out-P and Out-Ps)have large dipole moments,while their ground state is *** B/N/BN atoms into the positions with a high spin density transfers the ground state of Out-P and Out-Ps to closed-shell singlet,and the Out-Ps-2N has a large〈β0〉of 1621.67×10−30 *** addition of an electron donor(NH2)at the pentagon end enhances the〈β0〉to 1906.22×10−30 *** two-dimensional second-order NLO spectra predicted by using the SOS model find strong sum frequency generations and difference frequency generations,especially in the near-infrared and visible *** strategies to stabilize the electronic structure and improve the NLO properties of azulene-defect carbon nanomaterials are proposed,and those strategies to engineer nano-graphenes to be semiconducting while maintaining theπ-framework are exten-dable to other similar systems.

以自制的含三个苯环液晶基元的二烯单体与1,6-己二硫醇(DMH)在254 nm紫外光辐照下,以2-羟基-2-甲基苯基丙烷-1-酮(HDMPh)为光引发剂,以季戊四醇四-3-巯基丙酸酯(PETMP)为交联剂,通过硫醇-烯点击化学反应,制备了主链液晶聚合物与液晶弹性体。差示扫描量热法(DSc)、偏光显微镜(PLM)、广角X衍射(WAXD)测试结果表明,该主链聚合物与弹性体具有一个液晶转变点和向列型液晶纹影织构。当反应体系中添加光引发剂时,主链型液晶及其弹性体分子量较高,成膜性好,力学性能好;而未添加光引发剂的反应体系,得到的聚合物分子量较低,成膜性差,力学性能差。

Structure and hard magnetic properties of Tbcu_7-type SmFe_(8.95-x)Ga_(0.26)Nb_x nitrides

Nanocrystalline SmFe_（8.95-x）Ga_（0.26）Nb_xN_δ（x=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3） were prepared using rapid-quenching,annealing and nitriding. The magnetic properties and crystal structures were systematically studied under various wheel velocities to investigate the influence of Nb doping for the compounds. It is found that Tbcu7-type structure is able to be obtained even though the wheel velocity is reduced to 20 m/s（x = 0.3）. An significant increase（△T_c=70 ℃） of the curie temperature is obtained with Nb doping at x = 0.1 due to the lattice expansion revealed by Rietveld analysis. The optimum coercivity with the value H_（cj） of 810 kA/m is achieved at x = 0.2 in the nitrides, in which a reasonable distribution of grain sizes of both Tbcu_7-type SmFe_9 N_δ and α-Fe can be found. However, an excess of Nb doping may lead to the increase of the weight fraction of α-Fe, which in turn deteriorates the magnetic properties.

chemistry and Process Optimization of V-Microalloyed N80-class Seamless casing Tube

The complex effects of different nitrogen （N） contents and thermal routines on the microstructure and mechanical properties of 33Mn2V steels for N80-class seamless casing tube application were investigated using Gleeble simulation technique. The results showed that the N additions of 0. 014 %- 0. 021 % in the steels for the in-line normalization process （ILNP） increased the strength while the toughngss remained at a high level as compared with the steel with N content of 0. 005 %. It was also revealed that the N addition of 0. 021%could enhance the performance combination of strength and toughness in the steels by using 700 ℃ as the cooling interrupted temperature （cIT） for the non in-line normalizing process （NILNP）. It was further evidenced that the toughness was improved at expense of strength to some degree in all the steels by decreasing reheating temperature for the ILNP, while an increase of cIT for NILNP severely impaired the toughness and slightly improve the strength in the high-N steel with N content of 0. 021%. This can be attributed to the dissolution and precipitation behavior of V（c,N）. The optimization of V （c,N） precipitation could be achieved by enhancing N. The precipitation of V（c, N） in austenite was promoted by cooling to a certain temperature lower than the A,1 for the ILNP. The V（c,N） particles formed in austenite contrib- uted to grain refinement by the VN-induced nucleation of intragranular ferrite, but as a result the effect of precipitation on strengthening would become weaker due to a decrease of the precipitation of V in ferrite.

Metallogenesis and hydrothermal evolution of the Tonggou cu deposit in the Eastern Tianshan:Evidence from fluid inclusions,H-O-S isotopes,and Re-Os geochronology

The Tonggou cu polymetallic deposit in the Bogda Orogenic Belt,Eastern Tianshan shows evidence for three stages of hydrothermal mineralization:early pyrite veins(Stage 1),polymetallic sulfide±epidote-quartz(Stage 2),and late-stage pyrite-calcite veins(Stage 3).Fluid inclusion petrography and microthermometry analyses indicate that the liquid-rich aqueous inclusions(L),vapour-rich aqueous inclusions(V),and Nacl daughter mineral-bearing three phase inclusions(S)formed during the main stage of mineralization,and that the ore fluids represent high-temperature and high-salinity H20-Nacl hydrothermal fluids that underwent *** isotope(H,O)data indicate that the ore fluids of the Tonggou deposit were originally derived from magmatic water in Stage 2 and subsequently mixed with local meteoric water during Stage *** isotope compositions(6.7‰to 10.9‰)are consistent with theδ^34 S values of pyrite from the Qijiaojing Formation sandstone,indicating the primary source of the sulphur ***,chalcopyrite grains separated from the chalcopyrite-rich ore samples yield an isochron age of 303±12 Ma(MSWD=1.2).These results indicate that the Tonggou deposit is a transition between high-sulfidation and porphyry deposits which formed in the Late *** also suggests an increased likelihood for the occurrence of cu(Au,Mo)in the Bogda Orogenic Belt,especially at locations where the cu-Zn deposits are thicker;further deep drilling and exploration are encouraged in these areas.

The neodymium chloride complex[Nd（ONN＇O）cl（THF）]2 supported by amine-bis（phenolate） ligand was synthesized by the metathesis reaction of anhydrous Ndcl3 with Li2（ONN＇O）[H2ONN＇O = Me2NcH2cH2N（cH2-3-Bu2^t-5-Me-c6H2OH）2]in high yield.X-ray structural determination shows[Nd（ONN＇O）cl（THF）]2 complex consists of two seven-coordinate neodymium centers linked throughμ-cl *** this complex was successfully used to initiate the ring-opening polymerization（ROP） ofε-caprolactone.
