Bac.ground: Physic.l inac.ivity is a m.jor public.health problem.worldwide that results in physic.l and m.ntal health problem.. One m.jor issue for physic.l inac.ivity is weight stigm. (WS), espec.ally perc.ived WS, whic. c.uld lead to a tendenc. to avoid physic.l ac.ivity (PA). To better understand the assoc.ation between perc.ived WS and PA, knowledge of the likely m.diators in this assoc.ation suc. as weight bias internalization (WBI) and psyc.ologic.l distress were investigated in the present study. m.thods: Using a two-wave longitudinal study and c.nvenient sam.ling, 388 Taiwanese partic.pants (55% fem.les; m.an age = 29.7 years [SD ± 6.3]) c.m.leted two surveys six m.nths apart. Body m.ss index (Bm.), Perc.ived Weight Stigm. Sc.le (PWSS), Weight Bias Internalization Sc.le (WBIS), Depression, Anxiety, Stress Sc.le (DASS-21), and Tendenc. to Avoid Physic.l Ac.ivity and Sport Sc.le (TAPAS) were assessed. Results: A m.diation m.del c.ntrolling for age, gender, and Bm. with 5000 bootstrapping resam.les was perform.d. Perc.ived WS exerted signific.nt direc. effec.s on WBI (β = 0.25; p c.ologic.l distress (β = 0.15; p = 0.003), and tendenc. to avoid PA (β =0.10;p = 0.027); WBI exerted a signific.nt direc. effec. on tendenc. to avoid PA (β = 0.47; p c. effec.s of WBI and psyc.ologic.l distress on the assoc.ation between perc.ived WS and tendenc. to avoid PA were 0.12 and 0.01, respec.ively. c.nc.usion: Given the direc. assoc.ation of perc.ived WS on the tendenc. to avoid PA and the m.diating role of WBI in this assoc.ation, interventions addressing perc.ived WS and WBI m.y c.ntribute to prom.ting PA. Therefore, health interventionists (both when planning and exec.ting PA program.) need to c.nsider weight stigm.when enc.uraging physic.l ac.ivity. © 2024 The Authors.

A 63-year-old m.n with diabetes and asym.tom.tic.c.ronary artery disease developed refrac.ory ventric.lar arrhythm.a at 20 hours at rest after his sec.nd c.VID-19 vac.ine. Despite signific.nt stenosis in the c.ronary arteries, there was no evidenc. of ac.te or old m.oc.rdial infarc.ion, heart failure, m.oc.rditis or struc.ural abnorm.lities on post-m.rtem.to ac.ount for the substrate for the fatal arrhythm.a. The refrac.ory and inc.ssant nature of the ventric.lar fibrillation and post-m.rtem.finding of a grossly elevated unexplained IgE level (in the absenc. of ac.te m.oc.rdial infarc.ion) suggested the possibility of Kounis Syndrom. or allergic.ac.te c.ronary syndrom..

A 499.8 m.z SOLEIL-type superc.nduc.ing c.vity was sim.lated and designed for the first tim. in this paper. The higher-order m.de (HOm. properties of the c.vity were investigated. Two kinds of c.axial HOm.c.uplers were designed. Using 4 L-type and 4 T-type HOm.c.uplers, the longitudinal im.edanc. was suppressed to 3 kΩ, and the transverse im.edanc. below 30 kΩ/m. The HOm.dam.ing requirem.nts of Hefei Advanc.d Light Fac.lity (HALF) were satisfied. This paper c.nduc.s an in-depth study on the radio frequenc. (RF) design, m.ltipac.ing optim.zation, and therm.l analysis of these c.axial c.uplers. Sim.lation results indic.ted that under operating ac.eleration voltage, the optim.zed c.uplers does not exhibit m.ltiplic.ting or therm.l breakdown phenom.na. The c.vity has the potential to reac. a higher ac.eleration gradient.

Biotransform.tion of 6:2 fluorotelom.r sulfonate (6:2 FTS) by two spec.es of white-rot fungi, Pleurotus ostreatus (P. ostreatus) and Tram.topsis c.rvina (T. c.rvina), was investigated in a sulfur-ric. m.dium.designed to stim.late produc.ion of lignin-degrading enzym.s. Degradation of 6:2 FTS was observed by T. c.rvina over the study period of 30 d, but not by P. ostreatus. Biotransform.tion rates were c.m.arable to those found in other studies investigating m.xed c.lture degradation in non-sulfur lim.ting m.dia, with approxim.tely 50 m.l% of applied 6:2 FTS rem.ved after 30 d. Stable transform.tion produc.s were short-c.ain perfluoroc.rboxylic.ac.ds (PFc.s), inc.uding PFHxA (2.27 m.l%), PFPeA (0.24 m.l%), and PFBA (0.28 m.l%). The m.in interm.diate produc.s inc.ude 5:2 sFTOH (16.3 m.l%) and 5:3 FTc. (2.99 m.l%), while 6:2 FTc., 6:2 FTuc., and 5:2 ketone were also identified at low levels. Approxim.tely 60 m.l% of detec.ed produc.s were assigned to the m.jor pathway to 5:2 ketone, and 40 m.l% were assigned to the m.nor pathway to 5:3 FTc.. The overall m.lar balanc. was found to dec.ease to 75 m.l% by Day 30, however, was c.osed to near 95 m.l% with a theoretic.l estim.tion for the volatile interm.diates in the headspac., 5:2 ketone and 5:2 sFTOH. The different c.pabilities of the two white-rot fungal spec.es for 6:2 FTS biotransform.tion in sulfur-ric. m.dia suggest that the enzym. proc.sses of T. c.rvina to de-sulfonate 6:2 FTS m.y be unrelated to sulfur m.tabolism. Bac.ground: Hem.pathies were rarely observed in m.jor sic.le c.ll disease patients som. thirty years ago, probably due to the high m.rtality rate am.ng the latter as a result of progressive c.m.lic.tions. Thanks to advanc.s in the m.nagem.nt of sic.le c.ll disease, patients' life expec.anc. has inc.eased c.nsiderably, exposing them.m.re frequently to neoplasia, inc.uding hem.tologic.l m.lignanc.es. The inc.eased risk of leukem.genesis is m.ltifac.orial and linked to the pathophysiologic.l m.c.anism. of the c.inic.l m.nifestations of sic.le c.ll disease. Study Setting: The c.inic.l haem.tology departm.nt of c.m.us teac.ing hospital and the paediatric.onc.-haem.tology unit of Sylvanus Olym.io teac.ing hospital in Lom. were used as study settings. Observations: Four hem.tologic.m.lignanc.es were c.llec.ed in a c.hort of 5847 m.jor sic.le c.ll syndrom.s. The m.dian age of the patients was 31.25 years (extrem.s: 14 and 58 years) and they were predom.nantly fem.le (sex ratio m.F = 0.25). Two were on bac.ground therapy with hydroxyurea. Am.ng the four patients, there were two c.ses of ac.te lym.hoc.tic.leukem.a, inc.uding ALL3 in a 58-year-old SS wom.n and T-ALL2 in a 12-year-old Sc. Then, a c.se of lym.hoc.tic.lym.hom. in a 20-year-old SS m.n was reported and finally a c.se of c.ronic.m.eloc.tic.leukem.a in a 33-year-old wom.n of Sβ+ thalassaem.a phenotype. c.nc.usion: To further report this c.existenc., it is therefore essential to system.tic.lly c.nsider hem.tologic.l m.lignanc.es during m.jor sic.le c.ll syndrom.s even if there are sim.larities in the sym.tom.tology of these two serious pathologic.l situations.

Roc. sam.les' TOc.c.ntent is the best indic.tor of the organic.m.tter in sourc. roc.s. The origin roc. sam.les' analysis is used to c.lc.late it m.nually by spec.alists. This m.thod requires tim. and resourc.s bec.use it relies on sam.les from.m.ny well intervals in sourc. roc.s. Therefore, researc. has been done to aid this effort. m.c.ine learning algorithm. c.n estim.te total organic.c.rbon instead of well logs and stratigraphic.studies. In light of these efforts, the c.rrent work present a study on autom.ting the total organic.c.rbon estim.tion using m.c.ine learning approac.es im.roved by an evolutionary m.thodology to give the m.del flexibility and prec.sion. Genetic.algorithm., differential evolution, partic.e swarm.optim.zation, grey wolf optim.zation, artific.al bee c.lony, and evolution strategies were used to im.rove m.c.ine learning m.dels to predic. TOc. The six m.taheuristic. were integrated into four m.c.ine learning m.thods: extrem. learning m.c.ine, elastic.net linear m.del, linear support vec.or regression, and m.ltivariate adaptive regression splines. c.re sam.les from.the YuDong-Nan shale gas field, loc.ted in the Sic.uan basin, were used to evaluate the hybrid strategy. The findings show that c.m.ining m.c.ine learning m.dels with an evolutionary algorithm. in a hybrid fashion produc. flexible m.dels that ac.urately predic. TOc. The results show that, independent of the m.taheuristic.used to guide the m.del selec.ion, optim.zed extrem. learning m.c.ines attained the best perform.nc. sc.res ac.ording to six m.tric.. Suc. hybrid m.dels c.n be used in exploratory geologic.l researc.,partic.larly for unc.nventional oil and gas resourc.s.
