Th. searc. for new biomarkers predic.ive of type 2 diabetes c.rrently c.nstitutes a researc. avenue in Bioc.inic.l. Total h.moc.steine remains a preferred target due to its involvement in th. oc.urrenc. of degenerative c.mplic.tions in type 2 diabetic.. Th. aim of th.s work was to study h.perh.moc.steinemia and oth.r bioc.emic.l markers assoc.ated with.T2D in th. c.ngolese population. Th.s was an analytic.l c.se-c.ntrol study c.rried out between Oc.ober 2022 and Oc.ober 2023. Th. study population c.nsisted of 150 subjec.s inc.uding 100 T2D patients and 50 c.ntrol subjec.s. Th. main c.inic.l data were c.llec.ed on a pre-establish.d form. h.moc.steine determination was c.rried out by th. sandwic. ELISA meth.d. Th. oth.r bioc.emic.l markers were measured by c.lorimetric.enzymatic.meth.ds. h.perh.moc.steinemia was present in 27.3% (41/150) of th. entire study population. Type 2 diabetic. h.d a frequenc. of h.perh.moc.steinemia of 36% (36/100) and c.ntrol 10% (5/50) (p = 0.001). Th. mean h.perh.moc.steinemia c.nc.ntration was 31.9 μmol/l with.extremes ranging from 18 to 103 μmol/l. Means of biologic.l markers between diabetic. and c.ntrols sh.wed a statistic.lly signific.nt differenc. (p = 0.01). Th. risk fac.ors assoc.ated with.th.s h.c. were: sex (OR = 3.5), age (OR = 9.4), sedentary lifestyle (OR = 3.4) and glyc.sylated h.moglobin (OR = 12) with.a p-value c.ively. Our results suggest th.t h.perh.moc.steinemia c.n be c.nsidered as a predic.ive biomarker in th. bioc.inic.of c.ngolese type 2 diabetic.patients.

Lith.um-sulfur batteries(LSBs)h.ve drawn signific.nt attention owing to th.ir h.gh.th.oretic.l disc.arge c.pac.ty and energy ***,th. dissolution of long-c.ain polysulfides into th. elec.rolyte during th. c.arge and disc.arge proc.ss(“sh.ttle effec.”)results in fast c.pac.ty fading and inferior elec.roc.emic.l *** th.s study,Mn_(2)O_(3)with.an ordered mesoporous struc.ure(OM-Mn_(2)O_(3))was designed as a c.th.de h.st for LSBs via KIT-6 h.rd templating,to effec.ively inh.bit th. polysulfide sh.ttle ***-Mn_(2)O_(3)offers numerous pores to c.nfine sulfur and tigh.ly anc.or th. dissolved polysulfides th.ough.th. c.mbined effec.s of strong polar-polar interac.ions,polysulfides,and sulfur c.ain *** OM-Mn_(2)O_(3)/S c.mposite elec.rode delivered a disc.arge c.pac.ty of 561 mAh.g-1 after 250 c.c.es at 0.5 c.owing to th. exc.llent performanc. of OM-Mn_(2)O_(3).Furth.rmore,it retained a disc.arge c.pac.ty of 628mA h.g-1 even at a rate of 2 c.wh.c. was signific.ntly h.gh.r th.n th.t of a pristine sulfur elec.rode(206mA h.g-1).Th.se findings provide a prospec.ive strategy for designing c.th.de materials for h.gh.performanc. LSBs.
